We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Roca. Property manager, Andrea, helped arrange for transportation, excursions, private chef, and restaurant recommendations. The property is impressive beyond the photos. We took advantage of beach club access that comes with the property, which provided superior surf access. I recommend Eider as a private chef, everything he made was incredible! Having golf carts gave us easy access to Tamarindo. The property and experience exceeded expectations.

The best thing about this property is that it lived up to the hype. The location was ideal as it was just a few minutes into town by golf cart. It easily accommodated our group of ten and was spacious enough that we did not feel like we were on top of each other. The staff at the house was exceptional. Aider, who is also a chef,prepared breakfast each morning. He also prepared one meal for us using fish we had caught the previous day, It was one of the best meals I have ever had! The rooms were all very spacious and the AC worked great in all of them. The best compliment I can give is that we would rebook it! David

We rented Casa Roca for my wife's 50th birthday. We had 12 people stay on property and 15 others stay as Cala Luna right across the street. It was perfect, and Andrea and her staff were professionals in every way. Can't wait to return.

I organized this couples (6) trip for a group of friends who have known each other for 25 years. Everyone was extremely happy with the venue and the service. There was enough activities and space for everyone to do their own thing and to have their own space. Andrea from the concierge service was top notch and every detail I requested was spot on. Aider and Mai provided an amazing breakfast every morning and looked after any needs that arose during the day. Victor kept an eye on the property every night. The property is gated and we all felt super safe (day and night). Everyone had their own ensuite bathroom and the bedroom were clean and comfortable. The villa is absolutely amazing and we can't wait to come back again. It was a little piece of heaven and easily one of the best vacations we have had. Highly recommended. Jodi + gang

Our stay at Casa Roca in Tamarindo was fantastic! Andrea as our contact point to help us set up all of our activities, meals and day-to-day needs was extremely helpful. She was very attentive in helping us our prepare for our trip and was able to address our needs even as they came up in real time! The staff at Casa Roca were kind and attentive. JoAnn is fabulous at making sure everything is neat and tidy and always made sure we had towels and everything we needed in our day day at the house. Eider as the house chef prepared a delicious local meal upon our arrival. Before arriving the only thing that would be more helpful is having a nice map of the area to better understand that a golf cart rental really addresses the need of getting you from the house to town and local restaurants and shops. Not to mention how fun it is driving a golf cart around and seeing monkeys in the trees in the morning!

We had the pleasure of staying at Casa Roca last week with our friends and family. Andrea was our point of contact, she was amazing! She emailed and used whatsapp prior to coming to Costa Rica and helped us to book everything that we wanted from private chefs to excursions, photographers and massages. She even helped us get fresh lobsters delivered for dinner one evening! We had a friend who had a medical emergency and she even went to the local pharmacy to speak to them and helped assist with getting the necessary insulin etc that was needed. She went far beyond her duties and we cannot say enough about her! There was also onsite staff that was there daily, cleaning and doing maintenance as well as security. They have everything covered! As for the house- the pictures do not do it justice. It was absolutely stunning and very hard to leave! The sunsets from the hot tub were the best part. The kids loved playing in the tide pools and walking down past the Occidental to go body surfing and shell hunting! The room were spacious and immaculate. The only downfall were 2 of the room near the pool smelled of septic for 2 days (I think there was a small issue) but that was thankfully resolved. The location was also perfect. It is close enough to Tamarindo to walk or take your golf cart but far enough away from the madness as well. It is the perfect place to get the best of both worlds. We have stayed in the area several times, but this was my favorite house and staff. Thank you for everything!

Casa Roca is unbelievable. The photos are accurate but to experience it is even better. There are so many amazing details and the entire house is comfortable and inviting. We had a big, 3-generation family vacation and this was the perfect place. Starting with Andrea who attended to every detail to the wonderful staff at the house, our stay could not have been better. The house is convenient to everything, but honestly, we never wanted to leave this oasis! There are so many places to sit and relax all together yet still plenty of space to spread out. Our whole experience was perfect.

We were a family of 8 across three generations and we found Casa Roca to be the perfect spot for our family vacation. From the start Andrea was a pleasure to work with for all the planning and made certain that everything was on track all week. The villa team Eider and May were beyond amazing, we had the pleasure of them also cooking breakfast and lunch for us, a special treat and well worth the minor charge for the terrific meals and ease. They truly could not have been nicer or better! But the highlight was the amazing house we got to call home for a week. The pictures somehow did not do it justice. The comfort, architecture, view, layout, art work and location were all the highlights of the trip. We rent villas quite often and this one was extra special! A true pleasure on every level! Just simply Awesome.

We traveled as a group of family and friends (6 adults and 5 kids -ranging from 11 to 14 years old) to this beautiful property expecting/hoping for a great first visit to Costa Rica. All we can say is wow! The pictures online are beautiful but absolutely does not do this place justice. We had plenty of indoor and outdoor space and more than enough room for sleeping accommodations. From our wonderful concierge, Andrea, to the friendly cook, Aider, and sweet housekeeper, Maria, everyone made us feel more than welcome. We felt so lucky to call this place our home for 8 days! Everything was in walking or driving distance with the golf carts and access to these Langosta beach club was an extra bonus. Andrea was so accommodating and helped us plan excursions, restaurants, you name it and she assisted with pleasure. We can’t wait to come back, counting down the days!

2 families of 5 enjoyed a wonderful week at Casa Roca. Everything from the layout, pool, palapa, Super comfortable beds and the incredible housekeeping staff made our stay memorable, easy and yearning for more days in this private paradise. Eider and his skills in the kitchen will make your vacation. Our best decision was having him cook for us. Worth every penny. Delicious, fresh and healthy meals every single day. Would love to come back!

We have stayed here before and loved it enough to come again. It is still a magnificent spot, but the price has been jacked astronomically in recent years and the additions that have been made do not warrant the increased cost. I was not impressed with the concierge service. Nevertheless, our group of 10 on its fourth trip to Tamarindo had a wonderful time .

The beautiful property and location are awesome with amazing views and a few steps to the little beach. Wonderful service from Conciege Danielle and amazing food from the chef Eider! Excursions were perfectly planned and surfing great. Kid and family friendly. Only slight issue I can think of was a slight musty smell in few of the rooms but this is normal in CR and did not detract from the amazing experience we had here. Truly a life changing vacation - we are all so sad to have had to leave.

This was our family's third Christmas at Casa Roca! The villa is exquisite with concentration to the smallest detail. Impeccable! We loved doing our own cooking (fish we caught) and eating outside. Our family of 9 (2 children) always had times together and, still, enough space. We used the pool and hot tub every day, sat on the outside deck to marvel at the gorgeous sunsets, enjoyed sharing space with the resident iguana and raccoon family (that paraded through the complex at night), roasted marshmallows for Smores on the beach, explored the rocks for ocean life in front of the villa, walked to the beach masseuse and much more. Daniella was terrific in planning events: turtle watching, zip lining, golf cart rental, shuttles and anything we requested. Eider was a joy to talk to every day as was the rest of the staff. We felt completely taken care of with the security people that walked the property and were there to oversee the activity around. The past three years have been the highlight for our family spending quality time in a dream environment.

We spent Thanksgiving at Casa Roca with our family of 10 and it was perfect. The layout of the house let us be together when we wanted, but have some separation when we wanted that too. Danielle was amazing in helping us coordinate food, reservations, activities, golf carts. Our family has a wide age range (9-84) and different ideas of fun, but we were able to find a tour of the national park that we all could enjoy together in addition to activities that just a few wanted to do (ziplining, ATV tour etc.). Danielle was so organized and printed out a detailed itinerary so we knew who was doing what, and where to be at what time. And the other reviewers are right - have Eider cook as much as possible. Not only is it delicious, but it truly is a vacation when you don't have to cook and clean up! We were celebrating 2 birthdays and he even made us a cake the night we got there. Golf carts are also a must. Our favorite memory from Casa Roca was sitting in the hot tub, enjoying the sunset and a cocktail while a family of monkeys played in the tree. We highly recommend Casa Roca!

If you decide to stay here, which you should, let Eider do 90 %of the cooking of your meals for you. The only restaurant that was really good was Pongas. The breakfasts and dinners he and his helper cooked looked fantastic and tasted even better. The Villa was gorgeous and we comfortably had 6 adults and 2 kids and could have had more as the guest house in front was never used. Don’t miss this beautiful retreat!

The home has plenty of room and everything you need to be comfortable. The Daily housekeeping is perfect. AC cool in every room. Clean. No better View.

My family and I spent our spring break at Casa Roca and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The house is beautiful and has stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. It’s very close to town. The staff was amazing and Eider is an excellent chef. Our concierge, Danielle, was too notch. She arranged everything from golf cart rental to excursions. Would highly recommend Casa Roca to anyone.

Our family of 9 has stayed at Casa Roca for the past two years at Christmas. The villa is spectacular with acute attention to detail in every aspect. We loved cooking in the large kitchen and eating at the table outside with views of the pool and gorgeous beach. The staff is wonderful and so friendly, always there to help but never invasive. Daniela coordinates our activities (fishing, zip line, horseback riding, estuary tour, surfing, boogie boarding, golf cart rental, shuttle, etc.). We roasted marshmallows in the fire pit and walked the beach into Tamarindo for restaurants and shopping. The location is a short ride for shopping, activities and groceries. Our luxurious, relaxing holiday as Casa Roca is the best. An added discovery was the incredible masseuse on the beach a 3 minute walk from Casa Roca's beachfront! We can't wait to return!

The home is huge, private and beautifully appointed. Rooms flow into outdoor areas that are all carefully maintained. The ocean views are spectacular. The resident iguana Pedro is also a terrific touch. We also used the cook who works on the property for dinners and breakfast. This was a wonderful way for our large family to experience Costa Rican food right "at home". And he is a gifted cook! Our group included 5 adults and 6 children and we all had a wonderful time. My granddaughter commented, "This was the best Thanksgiving ever." Eider and Lizeth were wonderful. Thank you for making this possible.

We are 3 families with kids that travel together every summer (this was our 9th year!) so we are always looking for a big home with enough to keep everybody happy during our stay and this house definitely delivered. The kids (and adults) loved the pool and hot tub. The pool was plenty big enough for 6 kids (3 14 years old, a 12 year old and 2 10 years olds) to play for hours and never get bored. We brought a few water balls and an inflatable basketball hoop to help. The beach was obviously a big draw, though the area just in front is a bit rocky. That means it's harder to play in the waves, but perfect for exploring tide pools and seeing all kinds of ocean life during low tide. A 10 minute walk to the left gets you to a sandy beach where you can play in the waves and also has some low water areas perfect for smaller kids. The home is beyond beautiful, it is really a piece of art itself and has so many amazing details everywhere. The outdoor kitchen and cabana truly are a huge part of your living space and where we spent much of our time. The cabana has the most spectacular view and is great for relaxing, chatting, drinking, watching sunrises and sunsets and also keeping an eye on the kids in the pool and hot tub. Important to note that all the bedrooms open to the outdoors but the home is completely enclosed and we never felt that was a problem even though 2 rooms were kids rooms. There is also a security guard on duty at night though we would have felt fine without it. A few recommendations: 1) get a golf cart while you are there, makes it easy to get everywhere you need to go in Tamarindo and gives you more flexibility. 2) Use Daniela to book your excursions and if you need help, she knows what she's doing and makes things go very smoothly. (My son ended up with an ear infection due to swimmers ear on the morning we were leaving. Texted Daniela at 7am and she had transport arranged and us on our way to a 24 hour clinic within minutes. We were leaving for the airport at 9:30 am and I was back with a prescription with time to spare!) 3) Have Eider cook for you as much as you can! The food was excellent and was a great mix of foods familiar to us and traditional Costa Rican food. We are all intermediate foodies and felt he created chef quality meals, delicious and perfectly cooked. Liseth and Eider both take amazing care of the guests and home, we couldn't have been happier with their service. 4) Recs: Surf Shack! El Sapo! Transmila Transport!

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Be sure to take advantage of the wonderful food prepared by the house staff. They are not only great cooks, but wonderful and attentive people. The concierge service was great - Daniella was willing to do whatever it took to make our stay great - including making last minute changes and accommodations. Highly recommend the home and services!

I have to repeat everything that Rex said in his review. We also had a group of 8 and we loved this trip. Many in our group travel frequently and this almost everyone's #1 or maybe #2 trip. I almost didn't write a review because I'd like to keep this home available for future rentals; however, that doesn't do Eider or Lisseth (the house crew) or Victor & Brian (security & pool) any good. We loved the house staff. They were wonderful!! You will not be disappointed.

WOW! Where do I start? From the arranged pick up at the airport with the very friendly driver, to greeting the staff at the house, everything was top notch. When we pulled into the gates of the house and parked in the courtyard the house just opened up before us. Through the main gate and you instantly greeted with a view of paradise!! The infinity edge pool, the palapa and infinity edge hot tub are framed with the beutiful blue water and sand of the beach. All the rooms for our party of 8 were incredible and different in their own small way. We chose the room with the open air shower!!! The other rooms were awesome in their own ways. The beds are top notch as are the bedding, bathrobes and towels. The main living outside has two long wood tables where we ate breakfast every morning. Lizzet took our order and the meals were served. We enjoyed the pool all day and relaxed under the palapa slipping into the hot tub to watch the fantastic sunset. There is nothing we did not have. From large HD TVs to Bose music bases all over, we were well covered with music and TV (we watched the SuperBowl there). A few of us did use the workout room once or twice at the beginning before full relaxation mode set in!! The small town of Tamarindo is very close by and offers much in the form of shopping, dining, entertainment and the beach. Anything you would like to do as far as activities can be had. The house manager can arrange these for you. All in all it was an incredible time!!! The house is always in immaculate shape due to Lizzet and Aider's constant attention. If you like being pampered while in one of the most beutiful sites in the world, Casa Roca is for you!! We will be coming back for sure!!!

Our family of 9 rented Casa Roca for a week at Christmas. The villa is extraordinary! Beautiful grounds, spectacular accommodations, spacious bedrooms with all the amenities one could request. We used the pool area constantly. Love the two long dining tables outside the kitchen. We set up one table as an arts and crafts table for the two boys, 4 and 7. Used the higher table for our family meals. Sunsets were incredible as we sat under the thatched hut by the infinity hot tub or at the beach in front of the villa. The gorgeous infinity pool was used by everyone. The workout room was an added plus. The villa was located close enough to the town of Tamarindo, about a mile, that we could walk along the road or along the beach to the local shops and restaurants. The staff at the villa was extremely accommodating without being intrusive. Our bedrooms were cleaned impeccably every morning as was the rest of the living space as well as the grounds. Lizzet was amazing and so helpful. She was eager to cook for us which we did not take advantage of since one family member is a professional chef and we all enjoy cooking. Daniela, the concierge service, was spot-on, arranging for our chosen activities: estuary boat tour, zip lining, fishing, surfing, horseback riding, paddle boarding, etc. The 24 hour security was very reassuring. There were no negative experiences with our stay at Casa Roca as it far exceeded our expectations. We look forward to another glorious holiday at Casa Roca!!
