My girlfriend and I spent 1 night there. Looked exactly like the photos. It’s clean and overlooks the water! Host was great and commutative! Just make sure you put ROAD and not DRIVE!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The house was clean, quiet and the view was breathtaking. In fact we enjoyed it so much, we extended our stay. The property owner was friendly and did a great job communicating w us on where to go, etc. Highly recommend.

Very nice and well kept. Michael was very helpful. Property was very ready for Halloween. To many beech cove roads. Hard to find your way back in the dark. No street lights for us senior citizens.

Stay here...it's absolutely wonderful...close to nice restaurants, yet very peaceful, had a wonderful time... Host excellent... can't wait to go back

A modem and clean apartment— dry thoughtfully equipped!

You never know if a home you rent is going to actually be as advertised. This one exceeded expectations in every way! It was immaculate, modern, with a comfortable bed, and stocked with everything you could need - they even provided beach towels and a hairdryer. We spent a large part of our 8 day stay hanging out on the dock relaxing, swimming, and using the SUP boards (paddleboards with removable seats) to get around on the lake which is beautiful. Our hosts provided all kinds of water sports amenities- kayaks, floats, an extra slip if you want to rent a boat, and the paddleboards. Boundary Waters marina is a short drive away, where we rented jetskis to explore the lake further. Hiawasee is a nice little town with an excellent grocery store, a brewery, and plenty of nice restaurants and gift stores. We lucked out and enjoyed live music at both the brewery and the Sundance Grill. Shout out to Lori at the Hens Nest, a gorgeous gift store who welcomed me and my little dog - the Hiawasee brewery and Cranes Creek Winery are also dog friendly. All in all this was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations I've experienced.

Great getaway!! So relaxing!

We had a very nice 2-night stay at this location. Steps to climb to the apartment entrance and attached deck. Apartment is well-furnished with many upgraded features in kitchen, bathroom, etc. Comfortable king-sized bed. Easy (downhill) walk from house to dock. We brought our own kayak, but there were paddleboards, tubes, etc. available for guest use (David oriented us to these). Very reasonable lodging rate for the location and features of this property - would definitely stay again. Thank you, Michael and David!

This has become our yearly getaway destination. The location is perfect, right on the lake for swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. It’s close to several beautiful hiking locations. The apartment has all the comforts of home. My family loves this place and we will continue to return.

Thoroughly enjoyed our week in this cozy and relaxing unit. Everything was exactly as advertised but there were many little extra touches that made the place even better than advertised, such as popcorn and games, nice toiletries, extra pillows, upgrades on dishes and flatware. The owner, Michael, was so quick to reply to a question we had on arrival and lives on site, made us feel welcome without being intrusive. Just wish we could have stayed longer but we plan to return. Definitely worth a 5 star rating!

The apartment was perfect for what we needed. It had everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. I only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the lake. Perfect location to Young Harris College. We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed for a quick getaway and loved it! The private apartment was so comfortable with all the modern conveniences and a spectacular view as well! Getting down to the dock is a little steep and slippery on damp leaves, but so worth it!! Host was quick to respond and so nice!!

We’ve tried a few VRBOs to visit Young Harris College. This one is close, convenient, an amazing place to relax, and the price is right. Great hosts.

The large one on bedroom apartment over the garage has everything you need. Michael made sure that the place was spotless had wonderful amenities and great Internet. I believe his listing should specify that there are a lot of stairs to access the apartment. Other than that it was a great day.

Such an amazing stay! Even in a tropical storm this house made the vacation worth it. Clean and safe and a beautiful view. Absolutely private but the host communicated so effectively you knew if you needed anything they would be right there. I'll be changing my vacation next year to include staying here again

From start to finish we could not have asked for anything more. The booking was easy and clear to understand. I hesitate to provide this review because I’d (selfishly) rather keep Mike’s place a secret. Great apartment above the garage. New. Clean. Well-stocked. Private. Fire pit on the deck by the lake was very nice (enjoyed on two cool evenings). Was too cool to use the kayaks but they are available. Hosts are terrific.

The one bedroom apartment was immaculately clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The appliances were new and the kitchen well stocked with dishes, glasses, and utensils. The flatscreen TVs were large and easy to use with multiple entertainment options. Although we didn't use them there was also a new washer and dryer. There was only a shower, but it had a variable spray showerhead and a seat and there were plenty of towels. The apartment had a private, shaded deck with seating overlooking the lake. One drawback for some might be the fact that you had to climb about 15 stairs to access the apartment. However, the stairs were well lit at night. The dock had bumpers already in place and was very close to the boat ramp. The dock also had lighting, if desired, and power available to recharge trolling motor batteries. You will need to bring a fairly long extension coord to be able to access the power recepticle for the dock. There is nice seating on the dock for sunbathers and the host provides paddleboards for guests to use. You can park your boat trailer in the yard. Lake Chatuge is very much a weekend destination and the lake can have quite a lot of pontoonboat and jetski traffic. Many of the restaurants were closed on Sunday and Monday. The best restaurant we found was Enricos in Young Harris, about 5 miles South of Hiawassee. Reservations are recommended. One clarification that people need to understand in finding the apartment - there are two streets with the same primary name and both have houses with the 815 address. As you approach the stop sign coming over the hill, be sure to take the street to the Left. We would definitely recommend this apartment for a couple wanting to bring their boat and get out on the lake. It is obvious the hosts have gone to great lengths to make it very desirable. We will definitely be back in the future.

Everything was just perfect. So clean and supplied with whatever you would need. Just bring your food and clothes. Ingles grocery store is close and has whatever you need. The location is great. Very close to town and driving day trips in the area.

The property is located in a nice quiet neighborhood easy to get to off the main road. It was nestled up in the trees beautiful private deck with grill view of the lake.The place is very clean and very spacious for 2 people definitely will be returning
