I think what makes a good stay is cleanliness and the ability to communicate with the host. This group was amazing they never left me waiting for an answer and was such a help when needed. The house was secluded and made it feel very peaceful. I have stayed in Crestline a lot and it is a bit of a walk to things but my group were hikers so no big deal. Really enjoyed our time! Thank you!

We found several screws left in the driveway. Our back tire picked up one costing us almost 1800. To get back home safely. I approached the owners to share the cost and they claimed that their security camera did not show us in the driveway picking up the screws. Liars!!! We have witnesses and will be taking the to small claims for full restitution. Don’t bother with this place It’s old and not worth the money

This is our go-to place in the mountains! The lake is walking distance away, the home.i sin the middle of big trees. The home is spacious, comfortable beds, amazing views, well stocked kitchen. We come back to this place every time we come to Lake Gregory!

Cabin was beautiful and property manager was very communicative. Quite and peaceful neighborhood. Lot’s of games, extra linen, towels. The only thing is the cabin doesn’t have air conditioning but the property manager put a portable air conditioner in the living room that was helpful but you have to hangout in that room. The sofa bed was broken and our heads were tilt it down so we had to sleep on the reverse on feet and we couldn’t fold the bed for our stay. But other than that I would recommend this cabin everything else was perfect.

The cottage is amazing! It has two spacious living rooms and bedrooms. One part is upstairs and the other is downstairs, so it is separated from each other almost in a duplex-style feel, which is nice! The bed, the sheets, the comforters, and the pillows are superb! I am very picky about my bedding, and after sleeping in this bedroom, I want the same bed platform and bedding for my own bed at home! All the kitchen appliances are available, and we enjoyed our dinner and morning coffee on the patio overlooking the stream and the forest. The cabin is surrounded by forest trees and a stream. It was heavenly to stay here. The location is close to Lake Gregory to go for a hike, swim, paddleboard, or kayak!

The cabin is clean, mostly well stocked, and accessible to town, walking and hiking, and many other amenities Crestline offers. The neighborhood is quiet and safe for walking the dogs. There was plenty of room for three adults and the bedroom upstairs and downstairs provided privacy. The owners were very responsive to questions. It’s a very nice getaway in the mountains!

My family and I stayed at this Tree Cottage for Christmas weekend and the way they decorated the cottage was adorable (yes, they put up an artificial tree for you). Unfortunately, this year there was no snowfall in Crestline, CA. Instead, we had to go to Big Bear for snow. The drive to Big Bear from Crestline on Christmas Eve took us 1 hours and 45 minutes…on Christmas Day 2 hours and 15 minutes. Near the Tree Cottage there are local shops and grocery stores near Lake Gregory, even a bowling lane! Tree Cottage Glows: ~ deep in the mountains ~ key code lock entry ~ welcome book (i.e., located on dining room table) MUST READ! ~ kept well maintained ~ Wood burning fireplace ~ Nice size kitchen and dining room table ~ Complimentary travel size toiletries ~ Complimentary kitchen appliances/utensils/coffee maker ~ pool table ~ board games ~ T.V.s (located in living room and game room only) ~ heater worked during the winter season ~ emergency kit (in kitchen cabinet) ~ emergency wall flashlights ~ pet friendly Cottage Booked the Tree Cottage? Here are some traveler recommendations: ~ bring your own towel, wash cloth, and bathroom toiletries ~ bring a sleeping bag and pillow (just FYI the beds are FIRM and the pillows aren’t plush) ~ bring paper good kitchen needs (plates, cups, utensils) ~ Location is not for tourist activities ~ Location is suitable for a quick family/couples/solitary getaway (3 days max)
