Very clean, bright and modern appartment, tastefully decorated. I loved the white sheets and towels and really appreciated having a weekly cleaning of them. The balcony is large and you can sit at least 4-6 people outside comfortably. The place is also well situated in Monopoli, despite not being in the heart of the city centre, it's an easy walk away. The area felt safe. There is a free parking lot, despite there rarely being spots available. The internet was reliable on most days. The air conditioning worked very well. There is also an elevator which we found very convenient traveling with a baby.

First you should know that you are dealing with an agency and not the owner of the apartment. This means that it's continuously different people you are speaking with and shockingly, the agency reps do not know what's in the apartment, and what state it's in. Imagine our disappointment when after traveling over 30 hours we get to the apartment to find that there are only 2 beds despite booking and paying for 3 beds. To make matters worse, we sent several messages to the agency prior to arriving reminding them that we needed 3 beds. At no point did they inform us that this would not be feasible. Only upon check-in did the agency contact person say it was not physically feasible to put another bed in the guest bedroom. It was as though it was the first time she had stepped foot in the apartment. To make matters worse, the agency refused to take responsibility and provide us with any partial refund for the inconvenience of a missing bed. Booking.com also informed us that they were not able to get any responses to their requests for a reimbursement. Given that there were no other available stays in the area with the criterias we needed traveling with an 8 month old baby for 3.5 weeks and no car, my senior mother-in-law was forced to sleep on the couch during our stay. Lastly, but deeply troubling, there were many things that were either broken or not functioning properly in the apartment. This included the front door lock that was broken, the stove that rarely functioned, a broken screen door, a non functional safe, shower head falling, etc. Nothing was done to fix these issues when we informed them. Instead, to our great shock, the agency who never even bothered to check us out in person, blamed us for damages and requested to Booking.com we pay for the repairs!! We were dumbfounded and of course when we contacted them about it, they never bothered to respond. I would never book with this agency again! A rip off!
