The house is an elegant older home with large rooms and an updated kitchen. The period furniture suits the house although the table in the kitchen is a bit too large for the space. The house is quiet at night despite being on a busy street. The kitchen has a lot of equipment but the utensils are simply chucked into a drawer. Thankfully the knives were in fairly good shape.

Overall the house requires a solid cleaning. We found mould in the lower bathroom shower, dirt and mould on the bedroom and upstairs bathroom windowsills, some dirty glasses in the cupboard, dust and cobwebs under the upstairs bathroom radiator and stains on the hall carpet upstairs. While the sinks and the bathtub and toilets were clean, the edges of the rooms and the bathrooms were neglected. The freezer also needs to be defrosted. Other than the key access code, there was no information on the house or the area. The wifi password was difficult to read. The oven smoked when we heated it to cook indicating a need to be cleaned as well. The oven mitts need to be replaced as they are very soiled.

The location was great, and the furnishings were lovely. The kitchen was well supplied with all necessary items etc.

The house needs a thorough cleaning. the freezer needs to be defrosted. Only one drawer was available for use. There is a terrible musty smell in the laundry area. Very unpleasant. It's not the washing machine. And the oven needs to be cleaned, especially the door.

Wonderful house in an excellent location

All facilities were modern and in the main well kept and clean but downstairs shower room Shower Mat and parts of Skirting board near Towel Radiator could do with a wee bit of extra attention

Windyridge is a beautiful big terrace house on Settle main street. The large rooms are all decorated with high quality furniture and fittings which really suit the ambience of the property. All the rooms are lovely with big bright windows throughout, open fires and comfortable chairs and settees. The kitchen had everything we needed and was pleasant to cook and eat in though there was a splendid dining room/ library too. The locally made grandfather clocks around the house really help to make the place feel special. There are three large double bedrooms and one twin room upstairs as well as a bathroom with toilet, free standing bath and shower. There is another toilet and walk in shower downstairs and the property also has a washing machine and tumble drier. The yard at the back of the house provides enough parking space for two large cars and across the little back lane is a nice raised garden area with a table and chairs. We loved Windyridge, it helped make our our enjoyable stay in Settle even more memorable and we hope to return.

Lovely decoration and furniture for this period property, very spacious and lovely open fires and amazing sized rooms with comfy beds. Large cooker and oven and kitchen was great too.

None and the one problem we did have was sorted immediately by the owners which was just perfect.

Great location, well equipped. nice quality fixtures and fittings. Lovely big rooms.

Nothing not to like. Could do with a second key, we were always worried we might lock ourselves out !
