Beds were comfortable.The Kitchen is well equipped except that the pots were so old that the poisonous non-stick layer was half gone, and we were concerned about cooking in them.The TV connection not always worked well, but we managed.The view is outstanding. The deck glorious. The decor a bit dated and there is not enough overhead light in the living room, so it felt a bit dark at night.The people in the bedrooms downstairs complained that they could hear the floor creaking when someone walked upstairs, and disrupted their sleep.

We love this home. This was our first time to Tahoe and the home was very large and fit our whole family.

We had a great time in Tahoe. We had three generations on our trip and the house was set up perfectly for it. We all had plenty of room. We all enjoyed hanging out on the deck and playing cards on the long dining room table. The kitchen was situated well with the barstools. A few more supplies would have been nice since we stayed for three nights but we brought our own to supplement. Location was great, Close to shopping and long walks at night. All in all a great trip! Would definitely go back to Lakeview above the trees.

Great location, home was well stocked and comfortable, and a really easy lay out. We are 2 families with older kids (20-23) so they could we all could easily bike, walk, run, drive anywhere. Home and rooms were spacious for group dinners, cooking, hanging on deck and playing games. Had a great week, thank you!!

We were notified in advance that the dishwasher was broken, but assured it would be repaired by day 3. We went the entire 2 week stay with no dishwasher! We don’t do dishes by hand at home, and having to do so on our vacation was no fun. We did receive a credit for our inconvenience. Lighting in the living room is very poor. We love to read, but could not with such dim light. Outdoor furniture needs new cushions and paint refreshing. Property was clean and quiet. The absence of a dishwasher and the improper lighting soured us. We will not rent this property again.

We loved the property and the location. The house was very convenient for us and everyone had their own space. Nothing negative except owners might want to consider updating the bathrooms. Loved this place and would book again!!

The place is so beautiful and such an awesome spot. Our family has been in love with Tahoe for 30 years and we couldn’t have asked for much better. Extra bonus was the kids using the side yard for their snowboard park when every day during Snowmageddon wasn’t enough. The view is priceless, only complaint is the place really could use a little TLC. Trust me we are simple people, but just a few dollars for like shower doors and some improvements would make this over the top incredible. We totally loved it and would come again for sure. Hope you all stay safe with another week of snow. Took us 12 hours to get back to San Diego! Thank you again❤️

It is well overpriced. when you pay top dollar you expect good quality such as kitchen stuff like the throw-away quality of plates/pots/pans. We stayed three nights and there were not enough cleaning solutions for the dishwasher and stuff. the pictures are photoshopped and enhanced. I wish they have an option here for me to upload the real pictures. the view is not as great as it is shown in the picture in the ad.

My husband and. I We’re traveling with our adult daughter. Beautiful view, great location. It snowed the night before we arrived! Kitchen is not well equipped as far as cooking goes….no usable frying pans…so I would recommend bringing your own! Plenty of plates and glasses and silverware for. Larger group. Great family room and fireplace was used every night! Pick up your wood at Safeway on your way in. Bedding could use a refresh.

The views are amazing, and the cabin had everything you need for a good time!

It was a wonderful location and very clean house. However, I would advise the the bathrooms and kitchen are pretty old if that bothers some.

Very nice house and location. House is very well sound insulated. Love the airplane theme,especially the Blue Angels pilot history. We will stay again some day I am sure.

We had a great week at the cabin with our family (5 adults and 1 toddler). Having four bedrooms was perfect - plenty of space. The cabin was homey and we loved watching the sunrises and sunsets over the lake. The lake view is what sets this cabin apart. The location was super convenient - just 5 mins from Tahoe City and 20 mins to Alpine or Northstar. And within walking distance of an amazing bakery/coffee shop! Towards the end of our stay we had a little issue with two of the toilets/plumbing, but communication was quick with Ted and a plumber came the next day. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend! Would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed this vacation house very much! It had enough space and beds for three families and very welcoming decorations and accommodations. The balcony had a great view of the lake. The family room downstairs gave our kids a great play and study area, and the spacious living room allowed everyone to lounge together. We had a wonderful and unforgettable time here. The host, Ted, responded to our messages very fast. We can’t say enough how much we appreciated Ted for his kindness and consideration. We were supposed to check out yesterday but the area experienced heavy snowstorms and all the nearby highways have been closed. Ted contacted the next guests and figured out that they couldn’t arrive, so he offered for us to extend our stay without extra cost even after we insisted. We will definitely come back to this house for our next trip to Tahoe.

The highlight of Holley House is the lake view from the deck. It is gorgeous. The house itself provides ample accommodation for two families. The fireplace provides a cozy area for the kids to hang out with board games at the end of the day. The homeowners have stocked the garage with firewood, so there is no need to make firewood runs. The kitchen is a little dated, but well-equipped. We had come with groceries to prepare a small Thanksgiving dinner, and it was great to see that the kitchen had every appliance we could possibly need, and quality knives. The only knock on the kitchen was the state of the non-stickware. Those were seriously degraded and we ended up mostly using the "stickware".

This is a very comfortable home with two decks to take in the lake views. It has everything you need but could use ceiling fans when temps are in the 90s.

The view from the deck is just delightful such a beautiful and relaxing spot. Great place for a family gathering. Lots of space for all. Thank you Ted

We really enjoyed our stay at the Holley House. The VIEW is a stunner. We sat out on the deck everyday and very much enjoyed our time in Tahoe. Also, its a nice walk down to Skylandia State Park, close to trails at the cross country park, and Sugar Pine Bakery is walking distance for a coffee and breakfast treat. The furnishings are older, but the home was clean and had all the amenities that we needed.

There was 8 of us, ages ranged from 8-63 and it accommodated all of us perfectly, it has beautiful views from the decks and kitchen well supplied for cooking family meals. We loved it!

The house has a really beautiful view and gorgeous living area. The furnishings could be arranged differently to maximize the best feature which is the view as the living room couch faces the fireplace and wall. The biggest downside to the house is the appliances are old and do not work properly. The oven door would not shut properly so baking was a bit of a problem. The dishwasher does not work properly at all and does not clean the dishes. Therefore there were a bunch of dirty dishes in the cupboard that was kind of unappealing. It was also very difficult to get the shower door closed in the downstairs bathroom, once again it's old and outdated. The house really could be a stellar property with some updating.

This home was centrally located in Tahoe City for easy day-trip winter excursions around Tahoe’s north shore. It was clean and very well equipped with all the comforts of home. Everything was in excellent working order and all necessities were available for immediate use on site (I.e., full propane tank for outdoor BBQ; user-friendly natural gas line for starting fires in the indoor fireplace; plenty of seasoned wood for burning in the fireplace; washer/dryer; 2-car enclosed garage; and central heat that worked perfectly - not to mention a great assortment of both children’s and adult board and other games, AND absolutely STUNNING views of the lake).The icing on this cake of a get-away was the great interior decor AND the US Naval aviator plaques and dedications throughout the home to the owner who apparently was a historically notable Naval aviator during WWII up until his retirement in the 1960’s. My entire family felt honored to be quests in this home.If you’re looking to stay at a wonderful place nestled in the evergreens above Lake Tahoe’s north shore with absolutely stunning views of the lake, this home should not be overlooked.

As part of our xmas gifts to our adult children (and their partners) and ourselves, we head to a cabin a few days before Christmas to hang out, play games, eat, ski, and go on walks. This year we didn't all ski, due to COVID restrictions, but still had an amazing time. The place was plenty big and comfortable for the 7 of us and our lab. The view is amazing from the two decks. The walk down to the lake is perfect. We might have found our forever VRBO.
