We LOVED staying at the Beach Barn. Perfect for a small family get a way! Close to the beach and a short walk from Dairy Queen. Beds are all double beds, so maybe not a great option for larger people or those who have small children who still sleep with them. My son enjoyed having his own bunk bed though! LOVED to have morning coffee on the outdoor balcony with our Duck Donuts.

A great little cottage with easy beach access. Loved the provided crate for our pup and the outdoor shower/foot wash station to help our kiddos get all the sand off after a day of playing at the beach. Close convenient location to all Avon has to offer without feeling like you’re on a busy street. Property management was super responsive to our requests. Would stay again!

Beach Barn is a sweet beach cottage and it was perfect for us as we are pretty laid back. The decor was very beachy. The A/C worked great. There's a nice new bathroom, very clean. Thank you for the large crate for a dog! When a Tropical Storm came through, the house didn't shake and there was no flooding on the street. The best part was the location. It was an easy walk to the beach with one large dune to cross. The beach here is large with a sandbar you can walk out to during low tide, fun! You're close to the Food Lion and good restaurants. The reason for 4 stars - The refrigerator needs to be replaced. The downstairs bedroom queen bed was sagging, not so comfortable. Some of the "beach gear" was broken, I guess we were late in the year. The bedroom doors had wooden louvered doors on them. You could hear everything.

This house was clean, and super cute, when not at the beach, we spent our time in the front room, and on the deck , 2 amazing relaxing spaces.

The house was really cute with all the space needed for our family of 6 and our dog. The best part was how close and convenient the walk to the beach was. Looking forward to going back!!

Steps to the beach entrance - please note for anyone who cares you do have to walk over a dune to get to the actual beach. This can be strenuous depending on your physical limitations / how hot it is. We did not mind this but worth mentioning to those who it might affect- I'm 5 months pregnant and was definitely feeling it lol but I just took my time. The home was super clean. Loved that they had a dog crate there for our pup to use so we didn't have to pack hers from home. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances, utensils, pots/pans. Bring your own seasonings/oils/etc. though. There were beach chairs/boogie boards/umbrellas in the shed where the laundry was however we did not use them so can't speak to their condition. They have an amazon fire stick so you can log into whatever streaming service you have at home. Lots of games and puzzles. For the price it was great. The only complaint is that the couches, beds, & pillows are so uncomfortable. I would probably bring my own pillow next time for sure. The fridge also takes quite a while to cool once you pack it (stated on the info sheet on the coffee table in the rental) so something to keep in mind if you have perishable items. Neither of those things are enough to knock a star off in my opinion, just a FYI. Neighborhood was quiet and really adored the location. Walking distance to a lot of things but Dairy Queen & Isla Coffee (best coffee in the area in my opinion) are super close. Cute decor. A/C worked great. We would def stay again.
