Home was great and dog friendly. However, vacasa handles this property rental and is not local and don’t know what is even going on at there properties! Dog gate broke, code lock wouldn’t work consistently so we had to leave back door unlocked, no gas in grill, grill was disgusting, and old coffee still in coffee pot! Instructions for checking out include you vacuuming the property, sweeping the property, and wiping fridge out; but you pay a cleaning fee. So we tried to vacuum no suction was happening and look inside the hose and it is clogged with a previous persons dog hair in it! Gross so needless to say we couldn’t vacuum!

My family and I had a great time at this house. Great location right on a lake, very short walk to the beach & soaked in the hot tub a few chilly nights. Perfect vacation!

The house was great! Loved having the luggage lift and my littles loved the hot tub. Great views from the balconies too!

I like this house. I have stayed here before. I know where things are and what to expect. I did not like the confusion in the transfer from outer beaches to Vacasa. The house was not ready when it was supposed to be and when it was, it was not cleaned properly. I could not reach anyone on vacasas 24/7 line after withing for an hour and when someone texted me I was given a universal answer. I called outer beaches, was able to leave a message and someone called me first thing the next morning and had my issue resolved satisfactorily by noon. I hope that with vacasa this isn't a sign of what will be the norm. I have been to Hilton head and other beaches. I come to OBX because of how laid back and non-commercial it is. Its not a resort area. It is a laid back, slow paced, quiet, relaxing beach location to get away. I will be back to this house in hopes it was a transition issue. I do really enjoy this house.

Great space for families. Loved the peacefulness of the location. Even though it is only one road from NC12 you felt tucked away, which we love. Close enough to anything we needed but far enough from noise. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

Kinnakeet Retreat was a great home for our large group (10 people) to get away to - every room has it`s own bathroom; the pool was great for everyone to play in after being at the beach; and the gathering area was nice and open (though it did not have enough seating for more than 7 but it worked out ok for us). Beautiful home, and what could be better than being right on the beach! Comfy furniture, beautiful decor, and million dollar views from the decks. Beach Serendipity Too has a wonderful sound view in a quiet neighborhood. The beds are comfortable and the hot tub is positioned for a great view of the sunset. We were surprised and excited to find that all the televisions in the house had been upgraded to new smart TVs. That was a perk for us as we were staying in the off season!
