Perfect place for our family of 10 over the holidays. The kitchen had everything we needed and the great room and game room provided plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Our host was very responsive to questions that came up. We’d definitely stay again if the opportunity arises in the future.

Exactly what one would expect from an era designed home built in the early 1900s. Updated of course with plenty of room!!

Host was very responsive and helpful. Check in was a breeze. Property was amazing. Just something right out of a magazine. Beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything you could ever need!

Our family had a wonderful experience with this property! It’s the perfect location for lots of New England sites- particularly Newport and Boston. The property is gorgeous- filled with whimsy and history. We had the whole family- my parents and all my brothers and sisters and their children. We felt as if we had a whole B and B to ourselves. If you are looking for something really special- highly recommend!

It was fascinating to experience living in a house built for the very wealthy and prestigious business barons of the early 1900's. You can easily imagine the servants up and down the back staircases then cleaning, cooking, serving food from the dumb waiters to the families who lived in the house. The house is in good shape and can easily accomodate 10 people very comfortably. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen big and well designed, plenty of rooms to escape the madding crowd. The third floor game room has a beautiful pool table and gaming console and the kids loved the privacy and space. Fall River was better than I expected. There is a New Boston Bakery 4 minutes away that has good soup, sandwiches and pastries. Newport is only 35-40 minutes away - lots to do there.

House was beautiful and more than enough room for all of us. Owner was responsive and accommodating. Lots of things to do in area. Highly recommend staying here.

Family vacation
Huge home, everyone had their own bedrooms and baths. Played basketball, pool, and video games at night. Definitely would stay again.

Epic House
This house is amazing. Plenty of room for large groups to spread out in. The back porch is great for sitting out with a drink and just relaxing. Communication was easy with the host and they were very friendly and helpful. Coming from Texas we don’t mind driving a little to get to places. It was only an hour from Boston and we took in the sights in Newport and Mystic from this location. Easy to get around. I highly recommend staying here.

Perfect stay at beautiful location
I can't stress enough how magnificent the property is. The outdoor garden is beautiful, groomed, and inviting. The trees surrounding the property offered a lot of privacy, and we had breakfast outside every morning. The house was spotless, lovely, and huge. 12 of us stayed there, and it never felt crowded - on the contrary, it was hard to believe so many people were in the space, because it was easy to get lost in. We had all the comforts needed, and games to entertain us. Truly a great stay, that went by in the blink of an eye.

Everything about this house was wonderful- huge kitchen, comfortable beds, amazing showers (especially the ones with waterfall heads), great location for day trips to Cape Cod and Newport, and plenty of history to absorb in Fall River.

What a wonderful experience! We rented the Mansion at the Highlands (or ask the kids called it, "The Castle") for three evenings for a little family holiday get together. We had three families and my mother there with kids ranging from 4 yrs to 11 yrs. There was so much space, we could all spend time together, but also spread out so we could enjoy it.
The home is so cool- there are interesting design details all over. You can spend hours just exploring the home. The kitchen is an absolute dream and is fitted with everything you could possibly need and plate settings galore.
It was December when I went, but we still had an opportunity to spend a little time outdoors on the beautiful grounds and patio. Truly picturesque.
The bedrooms were all large and nicely fitted. I believe everyone had their own bathroom, or there was at least one privately shared between two rooms. The master suite has a beautiful glass shower with multiple shower heads and an oversized, two person jacuzzi tub. The rec room upstairs was frequently used for pool, ping pong, and boardgames with the family.
Throughout the house, you will find Insta-worthy spots to show off your glamorous stay.
Florence, the host, was outstanding. He manages to give luxury level service while at a distance- not an easy feat! He was responsive, attentive, and overall kind in every interaction. Even if I had just a simple, question, he would respond as if it were time-sensitive.
This was such a wonderful experience, we plan on making it an annual tradition. Maybe we just come when it is warm next time :)
