THE MODEL J This is the most popular floor-plan model on the whole fleet. Our clients love the Mercedes Winnebago, Model J for many different reasons, the primary one being its functional design and the reliable comfortable drive. All of our Model Js are built on a Mercedes Chassis with a powerful Turbo Diesel engine. That means they are fuel efficient and get around 16-22 mpg. This is a significant improvement from comparable sized gas vehicles which get around 6-10 mpg. The Model J has a power slide out on the driver’s side. When opened, it enlarges the living space significantly, making it feel comfortable for up to 5 guests. This vehicle has it all, a full kitchen with the necessary appliances like a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, gas stove, induction cook top, toaster, coffee maker, tea kettle, cooking kitchenware, and bedding by request. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS: There is a loft bed above the driver and passenger seat. The manufacturer says this bed can accommodate two adults, although for top comfort, we recommend it for only one. The other bed arrangements are as follows, a primary bed in the corner which is a size full and the queen bed which gets converted from the dinette. This RV has a wet flushable toilet with a separate hot shower. The fresh water tank is 32 gallons which lasts about 2-3 days. It’s very easy to refill and we provide all the necessary equipment. The black waste tank (toilet) has a capacity of 32 gallons and the grey waste tank (sinks & shower) is 40 gallons. With typical use, the waste tanks can last 3-4 days before needing to be emptied. While this is usually the part renters tend to be most concerned about, don’t worry; we have a step-by-step instructional video on the in-unit iPad demonstrating how to do everything properly, and cleanly. We even provide disposable latex gloves and an extended 20-foot hose to make everything easy peezy. The RV also has 2 flat screen TVs, a DVD player, interior and exterior Bluetooth speakers, a built in antenna for local channels, an HDMI connection and a campground cable cord. It even has WIFI! (Wifi hotspot will work in places where cellular reception for AT&T is available). In terms of power, this RV has solar panels, an inverter, Onan Cumin generator (quietest on the market) and the capability to be plugged into campground shore power (30-50amps) and regular house outlets (120 V). Our renters get access to our custom created training videos which explain how the power works and we go over it again at the time of the orientation. There are outlets all throughout the RV. This RV has other awesome amenities, like a power awning, 2inch hitch for a bike rack, back up camera, swivel passenger and driver seats and heating pads on the tanks which make it possible to take these RVs into the snow! Because our RVs are designed for all weather camping, (electric hook ups required for extreme weather though), you can take them just about anywhere! Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree, Death Valley, Yosemite, Yellowstone and even to a local festival. Lastly, you can pick up the RV from our location in Chatsworth CA, or we can deliver it straight to your home or office. Please check with us regarding the delivery cost. What to know about camping in the snow - Get a campsite with an electric hook up (30amps, 50amps or 110 V). - You will most likely not need to put on snow chains, but they can absolutely be provided per request, free of charge - The RV has a heater to keep you warm - The RV has heating pads to keep the tanks from freezing, so the water will still work.
