We spent an amazing couple of days in this house - highly recommended for friends or family gathering

Steve Gilbert we went through hoops, lost monies and were not told things correctly, and it made the vacation less enjoyable and makes us sure we never book through him, the owner or VRBO again. Before I write our opinion/review of our experiences with the vacation home please note that we were offered a refund by owner per Steve Gilbert for water issues if we agreed to this: "So you agree that you will not make any reviews or any complaints of any kind about me or about the home or the homeowner or about my team? And we would agree not write any reviews or complaints about you. In exchange we would refund you $500. Is that acceptable to you?" We declined. This home is listed on many sights including vrbo. We were not aware of that until booked. The Home was three miles from pool. We had 5 children under 4 and 6 adults We had to take three cars each time we went anywhere. There was a deck, but no furniture, and absolutely no carts, kid toys or games normally found in a rental. The homes were literally a bunch of houses on top of each other. No resort feel here. We could not get reservations at the resorts restaurants as they said they couldn’t take them because of our size. During our stay - you arrive Saturday and can’t check in until 4. You check out Saturday at 10:00am on the dot. Except for Saturday night, you miss both Saturdays. And the bus to the beach which we were told ran everyday ran 4 days, of course including Saturday which we couldn’t use. And then came issues I’m sure was due to new build but Sunday night we used an upstairs tub. And soon after we had water on kitchen ceiling. Tracy, who was extremely helpful, had someone come and fix. He put something around the drain and said was fixed. He didn’t even run water. We tried using tub on Wednesday and now not only was water leaking but was coming through the light fixtures. Besides be afraid of fire and having kids sleep in closets in the adult rooms just in case of fire, we had one small light in kitchen. We tried the fuse box and it kept tripping, lights on then off, etc. We were in dark in kitchen for two nights and really nervous. We also were told not to use the bathroom. On the day before leaving the owner came and spent entire day fixing things. He did not seem happy when we came in so we stayed out till 5 pm when he left. Prop manager could have rebooked at his company and recouped the 500 vrbo fee but did not and because we reviewed no consideration $500 refund.

Property very clean. Easy, early check in. Community clean and quiet. Perfect for 4 older guys on a golf trip.

Great property, beautiful community, great amenities, and the house was brand new and very nice! Highly recommend Bayside as a great place for families…kids loved it! Will definitely be back!

We had a great time and loved staying in this beautiful home. Very well furnished and had everything we needed. Decided to cook in often and loved that store was close and all the needed pans and dishes were there to use. Loved it and will stay again!!

This was the perfect family vacation for us after we waited years to do a large family gathering post pandemic. We needed enough rooms and bathrooms for 10 people with all the comforts of home and lots of activities for the kids. This house and Bayside couldn’t have been more perfect. We were able to accommodate every generation’s needs from older grandparents to young kids and the Bayside resort offerings were outstanding! We paid for the amenity passes which was well worth it. We didn’t even get to do half of what was offered. The house was beautiful, clean and very new. The appliances never seemed used before. It was well stocked with most of the essential tools. There were TVs in every room which was important to us and a bathroom for every family to use. The only things that would have made it better were if there were some chairs to sit in the upstairs balcony and if linens had been provided. It said we could rent linens but we didn’t do that. Jane was very responsive to my questions and very helpful with local recommendations. We definitely want to come back.
