Hygge Memories thought of everything! This is a beautiful lake home with amazing lake views from every floor. It was so enjoyable staying waterfront and having the kayaks available. The house is located on a busy road, but you are also a very short distance from coffee, ice cream, the Honi Honi and so much more. Very convenient. Everything inside was clean and well maintained. The service was above and beyond. Our family planned a cornhole tournament with t-shirts and all. We were bummed when we couldn't find the cornhole game. When I inquired about them, I was informed that they were damaged from being left out in the rain. But they did not leave us hanging! Within hours of contacting them, they had found a local seller to deliver the games to us that very evening. Our tournament was saved! While I didn't expect it, I was so impressed with them going the extra mile (or two) to get us the games...delivered!

Enjoyed our time on Deep Creek Lake very much. We had a party of 13 and we all slept comfortably. The home is well stocked and clean. We enjoyed nights on he deck or at the fire pit in the yard. The hot tub was loved by all.

The host of this property was very prompt and responsive to our requests for extra bed linens and minor repair details.
The views from the decks and main bedrooms are beautiful and amazing with proximity to the lake.
Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with paper products and cleaning supplies.
Our family enjoyed the variety of games available on the electronic game table. The dock and kayaks were used daily. The fire pit (wood provided ) was appreciated. The hot tub was a welcome warm up after the cool lake water.
Parking is limited to 4 vehicles and is a little tricky to negotiate from the street.

Our family of 12 with ages from 5 to 75 years old had a great time. The house is even closer to the water than it looks like in the photos. Having 3 master bedrooms was a bonus besides the other two bedrooms. The kids loved the game room. The hot tub was a hit too with young and old alike.
The house is located on a wide part of the lake and the view is beautiful. We rented a pontoon boat for a few days and docked it at the house. We used the two kayaks every day, fished from the dock, enjoyed S’mores on a bonfire, and spent every evening relaxing on the very nice deck. This is a great place for a family or friends’ getaway.

This house was perfect for our family of 8 adults and 4 children (ages 5,6,7,8). There was ample space to be together, and, ample space to be alone! The arcade games and Infinity game table were huge hits for everyone. The kids loved wading in the lake and the adults loved using the 2 kayaks. The kitchen is well appointed. The s’more ingredients were a welcome surprise. And the hot tub was enjoyed by all. It was a memorable week and we look forward to coming back.

The house is in a perfect location. We loved being able to sunbathe on the dock and was so convenient when we rented a boat. There was 8 of us staying and never felt crowded.

We loved Hygee Memories! It was exceptionally clean, well stocked, everything was labeled. The views were just beautiful! I know it's along a main road, but when you are inside the house it's super quiet. The hosts were super responsive when we had questions and couldn't be kinder. We would definitely stay here again!!

The house was just as described and steps from the lake. We had a very nice time. The weather the first couple days wasn’t the best but nothing a 2000 piece puzzle didn’t fix! Thank you for sharing your home 🏡

We loved our vacation in this home. It was clean and spacious and had everything we would need for our stay. The location was perfect and scenic! When we return for a future visit, this would be our first choice to stay! Thank you for everything!

This was our second time at this beautiful well-managed property (we weren't able to write a review last year).
Its lakeside location is within walking distance to restaurants, an excellent grocery store, boats to rent, and (most importantly for some in our party) delicious artisanal ice-cream. The house was clean, with a generous variety of supplies provided (including paper towels, shampoo/soap in the bathrooms, and a few Keurig coffee cups). The house is decorated in true "hygge" style, comfortable and comforting. Two kayaks were available for our use (and we used them!). We found everything we needed in the well-stocked kitchen. Hima, the owner, provided us with a clear and accessible instruction manual for the house and neighborhood, and our entire stay was very organized with timely email communications. Hima was very responsive when we had minor questions. Strongly recommend and we'd go back anytime!

Our family of 10 had a great time on the lake. The house is comfortable to host a large group.
Multiple King beds is a big plus. The lake views are stunning. Parking can be a bit tricky if you have multiple cars but after a few times pulling in and out we figured it out.
We are looking forward to visiting again, hopefully in warmer months to take full advantage of the lake activities.
Hima was amazing at answering all of our questions throughout our stay.

Overall it was a great stay. Directly on the lake and had lots of bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Only things I would change is that it was on a very busy road, we had three cars and parking was tight, great room and kitchen was a bit smaller than I expected, but fine for 9 of us, and a few items needed some updating, but others great.

My family including my two children and their spouses and our two "few months old" grand daughters were looking forward to spending a week in December 2023, at Hygge Memories on the Lake. The location of the property was beautiful - just as we wished, right on the lake with beautiful views from the spacious living room and the bedrooms. The electronic games table in the basement provided entertainment for all of us. The property is a few minutes from the market and almost everything was accessible easily. The hosts responded promptly to our requests and were very courteous in responding. Highly recommended. I look forward to spending more vacations at this property in future. Absolutely stellar!

Was not told in advance about the fireplace not working and that we had to buy our own wood for the fire pit. The listing said firewood provided. The reason given was the wood would get wet but there were areas in the basement that firewood could have been stored. Laundry room would have been perfect. Ran out of hot water quickly. Mice droppings, livingroom door was very difficult to lock. Big pot hole at driveway. Jacuzzis were dirty. Now for good stuff-overall the house was clean. Plenty of towels, kitchen well equipment, a lot of needed appliances. Table was large enough to accommodate everyone. Pantry well stocked with all types of spices. All the bedrooms had smart TV- that was very nice. The view was magnificent. While we started off with things that were a minus, our intentions is to help for the next guest. We had a a fantastic Thanksgiving!! Thank you very much.

Lovely property, right on the lake. We'll decorated and we'll maintained. Every room has beds big enough for adult couples to comfortably share. Foosball in the loft area, board games on the main level, and an interactive game table in the basement were all very entertaining. The hot tub worked well. We didn't get a chance to use the fire pit, but the chairs and the pit itself looked well maintained, too.
The host responded to communications quickly and politely.
I highly recommend this location. We'll definitely be staying here again.

This property was perfect for a family gathering we had for my dads 70th birthday. The house was clean and wonderfully decorated. All the furniture from the beds to the chairs in the dining room were so comfortable and there was plenty of towels, and linen we didn’t have to worry about running out! The rooms had such amazing views of the lake and even tho it was cold outside we still enjoyed fresh air by the fire pit and just having these amazing views it was so nice just to sit and stare at the gorgeous views! Thanks so much for making this weekend so memorable!

Hima was wonderful and replied quickly with any questions. The home is spacious with a lot of room for everyone. We enjoyed Swallow Falls State Park and the Halloween Party at the Honi Honi. Would stay again!

We had a ball, Hirma had everything we needed,the house is well equipped with great appliances and space to spread out. There were 8 of us and it didn’t feel crowded. I would rent again.

We had a wonderful time at Deep Creek Lake. This home is situated right in the middle of it.
Very nice home with lots of room.
Noticed a couple of items of concern and contacted Hima who was immediately responsive and addressed our concerns quickly.
Being we were multi generational visiting, I would recommend adding safety grab bars to the tubs. Even consider changing two of them out to step in/walk in showers.
If you’re looking for a relaxing get away, we highly recommend staying at Hima’s property. You’ll be taken care of!

Location of house was ideal in relationship to the restaurants on the lake - all accessible by boat! Living area of house is nice and the new appliances were very nice!

We recently spent Christmas at Hygge Memories and had a fantastic experience. The view of the lake from the property was breath taking. The owner Hima was incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. On Christmas Day, our car became stuck in the snow while we were trying to pull out of the driveway. I called Hima and she graciously offered to call a towing guy at her expense, who showed up within the hour to help out. The property itself was clean and well-maintained, and the location was perfect for our needs. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this to others. The owner's thoughtfulness and willingness to go the extra mile truly made all the difference.

This is a great house to hang out and relax. Tons of space for guests, even in cold weather. The hosts have set up TVs in every room, with a big screen downstairs that’s perfect for a large group.
The kitchen is well stocked and it’s in a good location, with several restaurants/markets nearby. Lake views are exceptional.

We had an incredible stay at Hygge Memories. Hima was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire reservation process. The home was clean, the layout was perfect for a group of ten and you cannot be the lakefront views! I would definitely recommend this property to those seeking a relaxing Deep Creek getaway!

Lovely house in an excellent location with amazing views. Close to everything in McHenry, either walking or a short drive. Nice to be next to the Marina to rent a boat and house has its own dock so you can take a break. House was tidy, comfortable, nicely decorated, and had everything needed.

Weekend at the lake!
Our family enjoyed our stay with Hygge Memories on the Lake. The house was clean and updated with nice additions like noise machines, and Netflix smart TV's in each room. It was a quaint space that can accommodate up to 12, although we only had 5 adults and 2 children. The firepit was a plus, and the proximity to the neighborhood ice-cream shop was an extra cherry on top! The property manager was very communicative, and provided some personal touches. I would recommend this stay for a short 2-4 nights at the lake for sure.
