The apartment was very spacious and clean. It was a great space to relax.

It was a bit difficult to get the key to open the outside door. Otherwise, it was a solid stay.

L’esterno è fatiscente, sembra una discarica , scalini rotti, cumulo di rifiuti accanto all’ingresso, una maniglia mi è rimasta in mano e la pulizia lasciava un po’ desiderare, il lavandino non era stato pulito e la lavastoviglie era piena di piatti che non erano stati sistemati.

We absolutely loved this place. We stepped off a plane in Akureyri to a freezing cold wind and when we arrived at Alma's apartment it was so warm, cosy and relaxing. The layout is really good, on the first level is a spacious hallway with lots of room for coats and shoes etc., lounge/dining room, separate kitchen with table and chairs and a small bedroom with bunk beds. There is a wooden staircase leading from the hallway to the upper level which has a lower ceiling and at the top of the stairs is a lovely large landing with two bedrooms and a good size bathroom with toiletries provided. We really loved the space and feel of the apartment and the views from the lounge were beautiful with all the autumn colours. The location was excellent, we were on foot so being close to the town was perfect. We had a nice walk to the botanical gardens which has a superb café and we had a great evening at the local swimming pool. If you turn left and go a short distance up the hill there is a shopping centre and grocery store. We had everything we needed, it was comfortable, quiet and in a nice area. Check-in information was clear and detailed, so pleased to have stayed here and we would come again if we have the chance.

The apartment is within a larger building which is a little run down and looked like some repairs were in progress as there was some scaffolding at the back where the entrance is. This was not an inconvenience though. There were no plugs for the bath or the sink so we couldn't fill them with water but the shower was good. The door handle for the bunk bed room needs a little maintenance as it came loose. There are no wardrobes or drawers in the bedrooms but there is a place on the landing where you can hang some clothes.

The apartment itself was ok. It met our needs, and was adequate for our 4 night stay. Everything else, however, was not satisfactory. Serious repairs need to be done to the building and the apartment for it to be liveable.

The house looked liked something out of a horror movie. Cement and paint was cracked, stairs were broken, there were electrical wires sticking out of the house, a whole balcony was missing, and there was trash littered around the property. The instructions for getting in were very confusing, as they said to enter at the back, but there are entrances both at the back left and back right. Also, once I got in, the instructions said first door on the left, but it was actually up the stairs and the door on the left. The landing we were on included a balcony door that was closed off with painter's tape because the balcony was missing. The apartment itself was ok. Some of the doors weren't working correctly, one doorknob didn't work at all (it hung off (see picture)), and one door was so crooked it didn't close). It had not been cleaned very well, as there was dust and dirt behind almost everything, the sofa was not set up (cushions were in a heap), and the freezer was almost completely iced in, and there was old food in there (forgot to take a photo of that). Also, We only got two rolls of toilet paper (for a 5 night stay), and the soap was almost out when we showed up. Also, not great for a tall person (I'm 6'3), so I had to stoop under all of the doors on the upper floor, as well as take a very interesting shower. Overall, the apartment wasn't horrible, but the building it's in needs to be condemned, ASAP.

We only had two shower towels for four of us and no dishcloths / towels.

The apartment was cozy, clean and spacious. There was free parking space just next to the house which was convenient.

Few small necessities were missing from the apartment but these were informed to the owner which took the feedback appropriately.

The place is under renovation. Our first impression was bad. There was scaffolding up on the building and weeds all around the edge of the yard. The actual apartment was nice. The sloped ceilings made it a bit difficult in the one bedroom for two adults. The bathroom was fine. Too bad about all the flies in the house.

Excellent location. Very clean, and comfortable. Appreciate the host equips the kitchen with everything we need. Nice appliances and good quality of coffee!

Narrow and a little steep stairs. The dryer in the basement seemed not working.
