Staff were brilliant and helpful, loved the layout, room and breakfast.

What an incredible experience we had staying at Hotel Santa Clara. We were on a cycling trip and the hotel staff walked that extra mile to accommodate us. Tania and Mara were incredible hosts. We are going to spread the word far. A hidden gem in the Alentejo.

Shower head support was fixed well below head height which was not very convenient, although the shower head was detachable so could be used by hand.

The hotel fully met our expectations as a well run hotel and central to the area we were visiting. Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was available in a nice roomy dining room. Extra bacon and eggs were cooked very quickly for us as the buffet had run out. This hotel is a strong recommend for value and location. There are also at least two very nice restaurants close to the hotel.

Bathroom could have been more modern but everything worked well and was more than adequate. Parking was on the road but easy and adjacent to the hotel.

Large rooms,pet friendly rooms on the ground floor.rooms very clean.

Advertised as pet friendly as long as you do not take your pet into ANY public spaces,including reception.pet friendly rooms are the furthest point from the breakfast area so we had to alternate and bring our breakfasts back to the room on a tray through 2 doors.prices of some of the gin and tonics I would expect in London not a small town in Portugal,1 local gin and tonic €9.75!!!!.Hotel needs to look at policy regarding checking in with a pet,single traveler with a dog has to leave dog in car in 30+ degree heat,ridiculous.if you can’t be more flexible regarding pets then don’t have them and it avoids the upset.

The new upgraded Santa Clara is amazing. Although two stars, with its renovations, it looks like a 4 star.

Cheap and good hotel but do not drink anything at the bar it is a rip off.
