Overall the property is fine for the price point, but beware that we were overrun with bugs, especially at night. Also, had some issue getting access when we checked in and I reached out both through the app and directly to the number provided and never heard back.

A little bit older of a house with some wear, but nothing major was broken. Comfortable beds, huge dock with paddle boards, tubes, and lilly pads. Priced right for what you get and the owner was easy to get in touch with and reaponded quick when i had any questions.

Difficult access, nice house that has had hard wear. Railing on stars detached, inside couches broken down and uncomfortable, had to worry about putting too much in fridge that is room temp because it might freeze up. Lights in Master bath did not work properly, dishwasher did not work properly, had to wash and dry all the towels before we left.

House was as described. Nice decks to sit outside and enjoy the lake. Lots of space to spread out. Owners were responsive to inquiries before and during our stay.

This home is perfect for a private getaway that offers solitude & wonderful views. Checking in took a while due to keypad not working & instructions not being clear, and the Wi-Fi information was also never shared with us. There were a few issues (like the main stairwell handrail was broken), but nothing that prevented us from enjoying our time there. Bre was quick to respond & help as best she could.

Upon arrival, I entered the code into the front door only to find the keypad was malfunctioning. We had to find the extra keys on the side of the house where an animal torn through the trash. Instantly, you can tell that it has had a rough summer. The cream feather couches were dirty, brown and extremely lumpy. The chair missing its cushion with one leg hanging off. I sent images of the damaged items, and told her how dirty it was. She tells me that she had no idea? How!? This is months worth of damage and neglect. Scorpions in the shower, blackened feet due to dirty floors, an inch of dust on fans, bugs in lights. Perhaps most dangerous; a broken handrail in the stairway. I read the instructions that were left (with notes from previous guests written on them to hosts) They don’t provide more then 3 rolls of toilet paper per stay, for five bedrooms? No hand soap, no toilet paper, no paper towels, a ducttaped together fridge? Not to mention the towels were old and dingy and you were REQUIRED to wash and fold. I’ve stayed everywhere on the lake, this is definitely the dirtiest lake house I’ve been in. We made the most of it, but left disappointed with a maid being 40 minutes early and watching us pack. The owners of this house need a new property manager, cleaner or to be kicked off Vrbo. When confronting Bre about the grill, she blamed previous bad guests. Then said “If you use it, you have to leave it clean.” It felt like staying in your friends dirty cabin, as a favor.

Awesome spot on the lake close to Franky and Louie's. House was well stocked to cook in. Dock was large and the paddle boards and lilly pad were nice touches. A great space for a group of 8-10 people, lots of space, beds and bathrooms. Only major downside was a huge pest situation. It was pointed out to be cautious at night time of the bugs that can get into the house because of the lights. But beyond that, we were greeted with lots of cobwebs, ants, and even a scorpion. Might be good to invest in a more regular pest control. Overall would recommend, just be sure your group is okay with a few extra critters.

This house is in the back of a very private cove and while the boats were out in force and the main channel was very choppy, the water back in this cove was calm. Caught a lot of fish and the swimming was awesome. The house is great and the view is something that is hard to describe. There are 3 areas for the families to congregate and the deck off the main bedroom was great to sit in the mornings and watch the lake come alive. STRONGLY suggest booking this house, it was great week with family.

The location was nice since it is on an isolated cove that was quite. It was only about 10 minlute boat ride from the Shawnee Bend boat ramp. The house was as described on the listing but it does need some attention to the weeds surrounding the house and upper deck, otherwise lots of room in the kitchen and dinning area.

This is a beautiful home on the lake we enjoyed ourselves, only thing I will add is it needs some basic upkeep on certain things. The host was very responsive to all my questions. Over all great experience, I would recommend.

We had a fantastic stay with 4teenage girls and 4 adults. The outdoor patios and gazebo are perfect to relax and look at the lake. There was plenty of room in the house and a quiet cove to float. Great communication and quick responses from Bre. Would definitely recommend.

We were very pleased with the property. Its a 45 min boat ride from the ramp to the property on my pontoon and the weather was awesome! The dock on property is very nice with more amenities than we even used. Our initial impression was the patios were covered in tree debris but the Host even left a leaf blower and 5 mins it was all good to go! Would definitely recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lake home! The home was clean, spacious and worked perfectly for our group of 10. The owners gave great instructions prior to check in and were quick to answer any questions we had. The whole back of the home is windows and glass doors and provides an amazing view of the lake!

It was great!! Only complaint is, there isn’t any grass area to take dogs to the restroom. It was all rocks, and it was hard to take dogs out bc they’re used to grass. Other than that, it was perfect!!!!

We had a wonderful time at Sunrise Beach. We brought our boat and two jet skis which worked great with the boat dock (nice quiet bay). We used the public boat ramp at Shawnee Bend which was close by. Parking can be tight with trailers, so we left the boat trailer at a local storage facility for the week. Nice outdoor areas for relaxing.

My spouse and I, our 5 children, and our puppy rented this home for a few days as a short getaway before school started back up. The owner was very helpful, replied to questions very timely, and sent a pdf with all instructions and need to knows! The rooms are very nice, especially the master, it has its own bathroom and a balcony! There is a king size bed downstairs, off the living room, that our three littles actually all camped out in each night together! We loved the living room/kitchen area and all the windows! We spent most of our time on the deck reading books, listening to music and having lunches out there. It’s one of the last homes tucked back in a cove, and was so incredibly peaceful! When we arrived the neighbor was outside and greeted us and was very friendly! Our kiddos loved that the trampoline, lily pad, and paddle boards came with it!! We splashed and played and paddled out to the main channel. There is a shed on the dock full of noodles, floaties, and a few life jackets! We brought all our groceries so we literally did not leave the house for three days! The town of Laurie is literally less than 10min if you’d need anything. We only left to venture down to Frankie and Louie’s for supper one night, which was also less than 10min away. If you are looking for a lovely, newly remodeled beautiful home, that provides peace and relaxation, this house is for you! Thank you to Bre Barnes, we appreciate our memories made!

My family and I stayed here for a long weekend getaway and it was great. Very private and quiet location with beautiful outdoor spaces. Multiple decks and places to hang out with a great view. The dock was fantastic and had plenty of fun things to do for the family. The host was super responsive and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

The house was super cute and exceeded our expectations. Neighbors were super friendly and the location was convenient too, located near bear bottoms and franky and Louie’s. Would definitely rent from this property owner and at this exact location again. Lots of room!

This place is the most perfect place to stay for a lake getaway. The property manager was the best and super helpful with the information and getting you acclimated to the property and tips of the lake. The house was clean and the appliances were so easy to use! It was a great stay and would easily recommend. Can’t wait to stay again.
