We enjoyed the wonderful view and had a great time fishing - caught two spot and one trout off the dock at the house. It was a super location as the MumFest in New Bern was a beautiful drive across the river. In the four days we were there, we ventured to Shackelford Island for sea shells/horses and even traveled to Aurora and had fun digging up 500 million year old sharks' teeth, shells, and rocks. The home was very well stocked. Nothing lacking. Our only suggestion would be to have a coffee pot that automatically turns off. We certainly would book this home again!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this immaculate, comfortable home right on the banks of the Neuse River. We particularly enjoyed the option of a screened-in porch or sitting on the open deck to enjoy the evening breezes. Great proximity to New Bern and not far from Beaufort, Cherry Point MCAS and Morehead City.. Great communication with host...just a great stay.

We had a great weekend! Views were amazing. We visited Aurora and looked for sharks teeth then did a little fishing from the dock.

We enjoyed a wonderful experience staying at the cottage. It's a perfect place to relax and enjoy beautiful sunsets from the dock. The cottage itself was immaculate, very well equipped and thoughtfully decorated. There are lovely and safe areas for walking. Excited to return for another stay at the river cottage. We highly recommend this cottage.

The property was perfect for us. loved the location to town and the view and river had a calming effect on our busy schedule. Just a few things to consider adding... iron and board, BBQ and some smaller for eating say ice cream or yogurt and fruit. We would rent the house again and recommend it.

Perfect! Location close to anything you might want. We especially liked the variety of spaces the cottage offered no matter what weather-screened in deck, outdoor deck, and sunroom. We would recommend and look forward to coming back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Susan's waterfront cottage. The cottage has been remodeled recently and has everything we needed. It was very clean and communication with Susan was easy. It is directly across the Neuse river from New Bern in a quiet neighborhood. The views are fantastic. About 10 minutes to downtown New Bern. If you want to visit New Bern and prefer not to stay in town this cottage is ideal. It is exactly what we wanted and I would recommend it to anyone visiting New Bern.

We had such a nice time at this property. Beautiful home, great dock access and amazing screened in porch. We loved the swing and the fishing from the dock. Qauint New Bern is just a short distance and has many sites to see. We would stay here again for sure. Clean, roomy and relaxing. Host communicated well and many amenities provided. Great to have a washer and dryer! We had a great time.

Property offered everything we were looking for. A place to call home for the weekend, directly on the water and close enough to the city with plenty of shopping and great places to eat.

Wonderful views and so conveniently located to get to New Bern or to primary roads. The house was clean, comfortable, well-equipped and had multiple places to sit and read, work, relax and take-in the views of the river and New Bern. The neighbors were chatty but, then again, they are seagulls!

We stayed at this property while at a dance competition in New Bern. The house was impeccably clean and well kept. There was much more space in the home than we expected, and we are so thankful we chose to stay here. We definitely hope to be back.

It was fully stocked with everything you could ever need. The location was perfect and only minutes from downtown New Bern. And the view every day was beautiful. This is a beautiful waterfront property with updated features and great waterfront views. The house was impeccably clean and welcoming. The house is very spacious. My entire family enjoyed their stay. We would definitely stay here again.

My friends and I stayed here for a girls weekend! We had the best time. Like the other reviews say, this home has everything you could possibly need. I’ve never stayed at another home with the kitchen being fully stocked like this one is! Everything was beautiful. You can’t beat the back porch and the view! Would definitely come back here and would recommend it to anyone!

We had a great stay at the cottage. Everything was exceptionally clean and well taken care of. The owners thought of everything you might need. I loved the décor and the cottage feel. The views of the river were fabulous as were all the seating in the sunroom as well as the deck and screened in porch. The owners were thoughtful and replied to questions very quickly.

This home is an absolute gem and we highly recommend it! So conveniently located (7 min drive to historic downtown New Bern), the home was sparkling clean and very comfortable with multiple places to relax, read, play board games, be together, be alone, and enjoy meals. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed - ice cream scoop? Check. Mixing bowls? Check. Griddle for French toast? Check. Ziploc bags? Check. Clearly a lot of thought went into setting up this home for maximum comfort and we greatly appreciated it. Bedrooms included large TVs mounted on the wall and beds that were very comfortable - our 12 year old granddaughter rated her sleep as bussin’ which apparently is quite decent. Showers were very nice with plenty of towels available. We enjoyed coffee on the deck each morning and one morning, we were stunned to see a pod of dolphins swim by very close to the house - in the Neuse River! Favorite spots included the sunroom, the deck to watch the spectacular sunsets, dinner on the screened porch, and the porch swing (which was enjoyed by all). So glad we found this home on vrbo, hope that we get the opportunity to visit again!

If you are trying to find the best place to stay for your vacation/trip then look no further because you have found the perfect place! This is by far the cleanest place I have ever stayed. I stayed for one month and the kitchen was stocked with everything that I needed and more. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe. The location is perfect! There is a grocery store 5 minutes away and downtown New Bern is a short 10 minute drive. The pictures truly don’t do the view from the deck justice. The host were amazing and extremely quick to respond. Everything about this place is a 10/10! I will definitely return in the future!

Everything about this property was beautiful, cozy and very clean. The owner was very kind and responsive to messages, even suggesting attractions in the area to visit. Would give this property and owner 10 stars if I could. We would definitely love to visit again!!
