Hotel Koldingfjord was fantastic, impressive, beautiful, peaceful, and more. I wish we spent more time here. I fell in love with Denmark in part because of Hotel Koldinfjord. I definitely want to return. The hotel was going through some construction improvements, but it did not take away from or joy in being there. If anything, it will make our next visit even more enjoyable.

Beautiful place, stayed there with our kids, for which there are good activities (pool, park, special care at the dinner). Good dinner, gym and beautiful landscape for the parents.

It has class and stuff is extremely professional

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very friendly! We ate the Prix fixe dinner in the dining room and it was Excellent! We highly recommend!

Great location, great property but lacking on staff attitude and food variation / quality

First off, I'm American. That said, it was an absolute delight to stay at this resort. The staff was extremely polite and the dining was incredible! More than anything, I loved being outside on the grounds and swimming in the fjord.

Beautiful grounds

Absolutely fabulous property and location, surrounded by lush forest and right on the fjord. So peaceful and inviting, wish we could stay here much longer. Rooms in the annex were older but large and well appointed with updated bathrooms. Windows at ground level easy to crawl through but no issues while there. Outstanding breakfast buffet but very limited availability of food for lunch and dinner, unnecessarily difficult and expensive to get food there. Overall, a great place to get away.

A plus staff ,location and rooms. Only negative is our room didn't have air conditioning.

The location of the hotel are really nice, right next to Koldingfjord.The family room we had was very cosy and had a good size for a family of 4.Breakfast buffet was very delicious.

I would definitely stay at this property when visiting Kolding. Although it is a pleasant walk away from the must-see Trapholt design museum, it is quite far from the city center. But the fact that it is rather remote is much of the hotel's appeal, as is its great view of the fjord. As an old sanatorium, it has the feel of a grand retreat surrounded by trees, water, and fresh air. Our room was clean and stylishly decorated with fashionable modernist furniture and accroutrements. The restaurant was quite good, especially for breakfast, and had a wonderful view. The waitstaff seemed a bit cold and indifferent, but the staff persons at the front desk were kind, patient, and helpful. A

Due to weddings, there were no availability at the restaurants, so we had to drive 7km to Kolding for dinner,. breakfast Sunday morning from 7-8, again because of weddings. So not the relaxing weekend, with nice food and the view we had hoped for.

Certainly one of the nicest hotels I have seen. Everything looks so finished and clean. For an old building, you would expect some wear and tear, but outside and inside were perfectly maintained.

This place was recommended my Visa Infinite concierge and I didn’t regret it at all ! The place is breathtaking ! The restaurant has a limited card, but everything is freshly cooked. I would just recommend the place owner to add a bathrobe and a complimentary bottle of water in the rooms. Otherwise I’d recommend 100% this place.

The hotel is in a very nice setting. Well laid out. Beautiful room overlooking the fjord, and charger for my electric car. Very nice breakfast in the restriction era

The thing is that the COVID 19 was not taken as serious as we were lead to believe by reading about the hotel in advance. The distance rules was not enforced and we were choked that there was serving of breakfast still in buffet-style. That caused us to ask for breakfast served directly in the room for which I am sure we will be extra charged. The person serving breakfast for room service brought us concentrate juice even though we had paid for freshly squeezed - it was replaced later.

As ususual a very comfortable room with a luxurious bathroom. Nice lamps by Arne Jacobsen, except for the lighting in the ceiling. The restaurant provided as usual very good food with a nice selection of wines both for the diner and the breakfast.
