Love the location and great staff! Unfortunately the hotel needs another renovation. Or, a better cleaning staff. The hallways were awful! Debris everywhere during our 24hr hours. The room service item from the previous guest was still by our door the entire stay. Just gross.
Actually several DoubleTrees we’ve stayed at are all in need of a Hilton cash dump!!!!

Convenient location and close to downtown Missoula. The room was spacious and clean and it was nice to be on the river. Doubletree is also pet friendly and our dog loved the river access!

The Doubletree is in a great location, right by the Clark Fork river and the walking/biking path. Finn restaurant looks out onto the river, so we watched all the folks tubing and rafting. Daily fresh cookies were good (have to ask for them.) The room was spacious and bathroom/shower were very nice. Our only negative: daily housekeeping meant only spreading up the beds and changing towels, and we often had to go in search of new towels. Don't think they changed the sheets (a 5 nt stay) and for sure did not vacuum. :(

When we (me, trophy husband) return home, he likes to stay at this hotel because of the views of the river. It is not cheap (costing us a little over $1800 for 4 nights) but it is a splurge for us.
Pros:
Convenient, plenty of parking, spacious rooms, updated bathrooms, patio with chairs to enjoy, great storage, lovely shampoo/lotion products, extra sink near the coffee pot, small fridge, safe, blackout curtains. Warm cookies at check in!
Cons:
Pricey for an older property. You are paying for the location and a view (well, we did). Carpet was dated and needed to be restretched. No microwave or breakfast (theres a restaurant on property you can pay for breakfast).
Definitely a favorite for my husband.

We stayed on the river side and we loved the sound of the water rushing by and being able to set out on the deck and just watch the river flowing and seeing the bridge lit up at night with the mountains in the background.

The property shows some wear. Overall it is well kept and clean. The check in staff combined to get us checked in without a problem. They were quick and after giving up on one computer, got us checked in cheerfully and quickly. The room has a view of the river. Opening the door to hear the water running is quite soothing. Definitely I would stay here again.

We had a room with a patio looking at the river. It was quiet and beautiful. Walked everywhere. Albertsons close for snacks. Town close for restaurants and shopping. Walked around the campus;beautiful. And walked along the river. It was a perfect 41st anniversary trip. Montana is the 41st state, hence the destination. Hotel was near everything. Thank you for the fabulous 3 days !!!

Staff lacked in customer service and our room was not provided with housekeeping on one night. When we spoke with the front desk to acquire more toilet paper and soap, the front desk was extremely rude and. Also, homeless tent is visible from the balconies over looking the river.

This was the first time I stayed at a hotel where I felt at home. The serenity of the river behind the property and the view of the mountains were all you needed to feel relaxed and away from city life. I am sorry the hotel is about a 5-hour flight away from where I live; otherwise, I would have visited them more often.
