The Marmara Taksim is a well-situated hotel with a good gym, but it falls short of the spark and sophistication expected of Istanbul’s five-star accommodations. The property shows its age, appearing worn-out and outdated, with a clear need for refurbishment, renovation, and a revitalized atmosphere. In essence, it delivers a four-star experience at a five-star price. This sentiment extends to the service level, which, while not poor, fails to impress. Breakfast service, in particular, could benefit from improvements. While location matters, there are now other strong alternatives in the same price range that present serious competition for the Marmara in Istanbul.

Very disgusting service from both the Marmara Taksim and Expedia. Very disappointed in both services room was very small, I paid for a deluxe city view room I got a second story view of a building, room was steaming hot the air conditioning was not working even after multiple complaints to reception and front desk, room and bathroom smelled like straight sewage, and the attitude of the people that work there was very poor. Always laughing in your face when you ask simple questions. I wouldn’t recommend neither the Marmara Taksim or Expedia!!!
Find another hotel and save yourself the headache.

The Marmara is a very comfortable hotel. My room had a wonderful city side view across Taksim Square with a glimpse of the sea. Great location to get around to everything either by foot or public transport.
A bonus is the great cafe/patisserie downstairs. A reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul with very good quality food, drinks and service.

I liked the view from the window, but the disco on the roof was very loud.Going through security every time you enter the building was annoying.The room was clean, but the AC was not great.The font desc people were helpful and arranged a nice tour for us .

Location is good, I felt safe staying here. I got the free room upgrade for being a VIP member. They also arranged chocolates and flowers for my fiancé in the room for her birthday. The pool area needs work, service was not good.

The hotel is beautiful and has one of the best locations and views of Istanbul.
The only complaint is that Summer time was hot and humid and the AC was not cooling too much.

The gym and pool facilities were very good. Only negative is access to Netflix. Forgot my password and could not enjoy television. Aside from that the room was fantastic and the staff were friendly and professional. Thank you for your hospitality

The room was so noisy the bed wasn’t comfortable the pillows and the blankets were so smelly even was changing every day

We think that this hotel is really nice. However, we would have enjoyed more our nights if we would not have to endure the loud music from the neighborhood. We really liked the pool area where we could relax. At breakfast, the employees seem confused about what they had to do. I had a special request and the waiter just told me no without trying to help me. Definitely not a 5 stars attitude.
