The service was fantastic, food was great and a great location only 10min walk to old town

Hotel is extremely clean our room had a beautiful view of the river. There is limited dining at the hotel and it’s someone expensive. The lobby bar is great place to have a drink or light sandwiches very helpful walking distance to get to the old town at least 15 to 20 minutes.

Older building, staff added fees for using the pull out bed, which seemed slimy. Upgraded to M Club room but not allowed to use the M Club.

Considering the rather high price for my single room, I think the standard was not what I expected. The room was small and there was no place to put your suitcase. Also one of the lights was broken, which made it hard to read. Even though there were a few other lights, the overall impression was that the room was too dark. In general, I think the rooms need an upgrade to live up to today’s standard for luxuary hotels.

The staff at this hotel made the experience incredible. They felt like family and we were sad to part ways with them. The location is amazing. Quick walk from the train station. Right by the river for a swim with the locals! They even provided us with the familiar waterproof bags for floating down the river. Marco the doorman made my young adult kids feel like they were really special! Thank you!

Fabulous location with wonderfully helpful staff. I would return any time I have to be in Zurich!

In all my years of travel, I had never had a situation like this happen... A couple of hours after checkout I got a email from the hotel with an invoice for a significant amount of money with the description "chair" with no further explanation. I immediately wrote back, but it took them hours to respond stating we stained one of the chairs in the room and that they would replace it at our cost. We cannot identify what could have caused the stain, since we didn't eat nor drink in the room, and definitely didn't engage in rockstar behavior. I insisted on trying to find a solution, but they simply responded they were unable to clean and will charge me a new chair. I feel violated by this charge. We cannot identify what could have caused the stain and cannot believe a big hotel such as the Marriott was unable to remove it. I also feel some of this normal wear is part of doing business, specially for a hotel with such high rates. Either way, unless you like your card held hostage by unilateral decisions with horrible communication skills, DO NOT STAY HERE!

Great but for $600/night it is very expensive (just a standard Marriott room); however Zurich is overall outrageously expensive. Example chicken club sandwich from the bar was $40.00!!

The property is expensive, but in many ways worth it. Always a taxi available. Taxi to airport approx $60 (US currency) each way or you can make your way to the train station (10 min walk). The staff is very helpful and welcoming. Marco greeted us and gave us an excellent introduction to the hotel and facilities. Valentina, at the front desk, went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They were both amazing people and made us feel very welcome. Everyone spoke English, among other languages, and was polite. The bar prices were reasonable. The staff there were very friendly. Bad things: The food is very poor in quantity and quality, especially for the prices charged. I am not saying this as an "American who expects large portions". We paid $14 each for 2 soups (one mushroom, one wonton). Both were about 3/4 cup. The mushroom was completely creamed, like Campbells worthy and the wonton was poor watery chicken broth with odd meat filled breadsticks that apparently were the wontons (this is not a dumpling). We also got a chicken Ceasar salad for $28 which is essentially 1 grilled chicken breast and 4 small leaves of lettuce under it. For desert we said well let's get the NY Cheesecake. I don't know what that was, but cheesecake it was not. More like custard pie. We couldn't finish it. Even though everything in Zurich is very expensive, it would be nice to know the hotel was a good option, but it is definitely not. Our total bill for the meal was about $80 US.
