The Hilton is a gorgeous hotel and the staff, service, food, rooms and the ambience makes it perfect. I must say a special thanks to Gaveena who made the check in process so delightful. For our wait time she provided us a newly renovated room with spectacular views. I would definitely stay at the Hilton again!

It was a great stay with friendly staff and excellent amenities. Gym and Pool outside the complex with bit of a walk

This is a grand, spacious hotel, efficiently run with solicitous staff. It sets a high standard, and offers much comfort.

We stayed 2 nights, the staff were very attentive and welcoming. The lobby area is very impressive however our room was a little tired and the bathroom basic with a shower bath and curtain. I would have expected better for Hilton. However, the breakfast buffet was superb as was our dinner at the Emperors Wok. The swimming pool is quite a walk from the hotel and you need to use a private bridge to cross the road to the pool (so lots of steps). You also need to walk through the hotel lobby and bar/piano area to get to the lift which whilst in swimming gear and towel I found annoying.

Hotel a staff very good. Arrived when prime. Minister there so security ++ particularly pleased that allowed early check I and late checkout. Buffet breakfast /dinner excellent. Good pool and gym. Roads facing the road will attract some noise so worth going for sea view. Area busy but within walking distance of beach, fort shopping malls if u can cross road. Near railway station and track comes close to swimming pool.

Staff were so nice, hotel was genuinely lovely. Big, bit didn't have that bland corporate feel that so many hotels of this size do. Would recommend without hesitation. Breakfast was delicious and pool a great size.

The location, facilities, the staff, the meals provided, the clenliness of the room and the view were excellent. The room service was beyond expectation. The welcome gift and the room decoration was very good with a flower arrangement. One room attendent, Dinesh, was very talented and had a special ornament made from a towel every day after cleaning the room which made us feel wanted and welcoming

This was our first stay at the Colombo Hilton and it was pure bliss! My daughter has food allergies and Sagee made sure that these were all dealt with. All staff are spot on with customer service and smiles. A few to mention are Omesh / Laksitha/ Lanka/ Fiona and Natasha...and this will now be my default place to stay when I am in Colombo. The bar and pond areas allow for max relaxation too.

Not worth the money. Initially they gave me a room which has a issue with the toilet, then when complained to the reception they offered me a room in the refurbished area. However when discussing with the reception they said the customers like the broken toilets, which was absurd. 2nd room they offered had a leak from the AC at 5:30 am. Honestly not worth the money spent for this hotel and I will never go there again as the service was equally poor.

Wonderful location, making it easy to transverse across Colombo.

The Hilton Colombo has a stunning lobby and during our visit it was beautifully decorated for the Christmas holiday. The breakfast buffet is absolutely incredible and virtually every type of cuisine was covered. The pond by the lobby and restaurant had black swans. The location near the restaurant, Ministry of the Crab and some shopping was convenient. While the lobby is modern and stunning, our room was far from that. We were "upgraded" to a suite however unlike the photos which show relatively modern rooms, ours was very outdated. While in general it was comfortable and very spacious and the corner room view was fantastic, the noise from the street was disturbing. I woke up from the train whistly at 4:30am, just to have a mosque's morning call to prayet start then at 4:45 and then the constant morning traffic and honking of the tuk tuks and buses. We were even on the upper levels of the hotel and the noise made it difficult to sleep and had to use noise cancelling headphones. They were also conducting renovations in the rooms so even after being disturbed from sleep at 4:30am we had a hard time taking a much needed nap because of the nearby room renovations. I hope that the hotel replaces the windows with triple paned windows and sound proofing. We didn't use the pool as it was located a short walking distance from the main building and the afternoon heat was already too much to endure a walk in the sun to get there. I would most likely not stay at this hotel again

The room was very clean and european standard. Please keep it up. The staffs were also very friendl and helpful. The Location was very good, some atteactions are in walking distance.

Not good check in was a disaster took forever

Best location and atmosphere.

Unfortunately it was not as comfortable stay as we expected. When we made the booking we specifically requested a non smoking room but unfortunately on our 1st night we were given a room within the smoking area. Even though the person checking us in promised a room upgrade next day, it never materialised - just more excuse! Prior to our stsy at the Hilton we were at the Kingsbury (5 nights) and the room and the bed was much more comfortable than the one we had at the Hilton.

We had booked a twin room, however they gave us a double bed. They refused to change our room, claiming that the hotel was full.

Excellent and had a great time. Very nice and helpful staff, fabulous food, beautiful view of both Sea and the lake.

Noisy; hotel was under construction on 05/05/2023. Clogged toilet No View from breakfast restraint; also under renovation at the moment. But Breakfast was nice...

Bad quality rooms old and not clean at all

Overall, this hotel is tired and in need of upgrading. The lobby and public areas are nice, but the rooms are awful. Old fashioned and musty. It was annoying that the hotel did not advise that the gym was closed at the time of booking.

An oasis of calm and comfort in the heart of the city. The hotel and rooms were in immaculate condition and the Lotus Pond across from the dining area must be highlighted. The staff were courteous and attentive. The food choices in the Graze Kitchen could satisfy any palate. The food was excellent quality and well prepared. There was nothing to dislike about this property.

The Hilton Colombo is a beautiful hotel that is starting to show its age. It is currently undergoing a gradual renovation that will hopefully bring it back to its original glory. The hotel has one of the most impressive lobbies that I've ever seen. Curvy high ceilings that are enhanced with creative lighting greet you as you walk in. The rooms are nicely laid out with comfortable beds, separate seating areas and a convenient desk. It's situated on a major crossroad so street noise comes in early in the morning. I didn't mind it because the level was tolerable, but just in case you're sensitive to traffic noise, ask for a quiet room. There are several restaurants on the premises. It's not unusual that The Graze, the most popular eating space, is full on weekends. The pool and the gym/spa are across the road and can be reached by crossing a bridge without exiting to the street. A tunnel would have been preferable, especially when raining. The gym/spa is in desperate need of not just a renovation, but also an upgrade to bring it in line with modern standards. Last and not least, service is impeccable throughout.
