My experience was easy and as advertised.

Amenities were helpful for business travel. Staff members were kind and attentive. Generous breakfast with options and 24/7 drink station were among the perks.

The hospitality

We went to a concert at McMenamins and walked to it. Easy walk and streets after dark seemed safe. Room was nicer than expected and bigger than expected. Breakfast had many options and was hot and fresh.

No one at the front desk for an hour so checked into other hotel.

I will start by saying that the breakfast cook was very kind to the guests and the breakfast was good with several options. Our room was clean and a decent size, but a bit overpriced. The pool is open 24 hours which is awesome! However, when we arrived we used a guest bathroom because our room wasn’t ready. The bathroom had no toilet paper and the soap was so disgusting and old that I didn’t want to use it to wash my hands. The drink vending machine didn’t work and took several dollars from us. This was said loudly in front of the front desk receptionist, but she pretended not yo hear us. Overall the stay was good, but the front desk receptionists were definitely lacking a friendly smile and customer service skills.

The hotel was very clean and all the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our three nights were greatly enjoyed. The breakfast offered several choices and was very filling. Didn't try out the pool or hot tub, but looked inviting. I would definitely stay there again.

Overall, very nice stay as compared to the Best Western in Moscow, Idaho, I MUST tell me story now, for when this incident occurred, I was not in a place in my caring for my elderly mother to lodge a true complaint with BW. Stayed there summer 2021 at end of my trip! That location in Moscow turned out to be HORRIBLE! Traveling with my elderly mother with dementia, in the last 15 min before check-out, some people staying there heard a little extra noise while trying to get my mother to the bathroom in the room. Those people called the front desk and get this: They didn't come to my room and find out the source of the brief but louder noise from the complaint, but instead CALLED THE POLICE! I got a knock on the door, and the Moscow police in my face! Small town cops were rude! Treated me like a criminal before finding out the situation and one male cop "tried" to question my 91 year old mother with dementia while she was on the toilet half naked! Ridiculous! I should have reported the front desk staff and the Moscow cops to a higher authority! I complained to the Manager of the BW, and she was rude and not at all apologetic. I left that location with a "bad taste in my mouth" and haven't stayed in a Best Western since now in Forest Grove. Thankfully, THIS franchise restored my faith in Best Westerns, for in the past, they always were great accommodations that I could always count on for the quality and comfort of the overall stay wherever I traveled in the U.S.

We selected this property because it was close to our event destination (Pacific University) and because it had an indoor hot tub that we intended to use. Upon our arrival to the property we found out the hot tub was “out of order” due to chemical issues. Very disappointing to have the only amenity we intended to use be unavailable.

Comfortable

The night before my check-out date, I ordered take-out dinner from a nearby Chinese restaurant to eat in my room. When I returned to my room and opened the microwave door to reheat the dinner I had bought, I found that the heat-resistant glass turntable was not there. So, I ended up eating a cold Chinese dinner.　orz

Property is just about what I expected, but a bit better. Staff are excellent - very friendly. The hotel has pretty much everything you need with quick access to it all...and they allow pets for a reasonable fee. No complaints!

For well over 200/night you get a miniscule TV and a lot of noise in the hallway. I paid just over half as much for a room with an ocean view at the coast the next day. All of the hotels around Forest Grove are ridiculously overpriced, stay in Hillsboro and save yourself 100 bucks.

Second time we have stayed at this hotel. Good location.

We have stayed here several times. The most recent stay April 2024, we have an issue with ants in the room. They were on the countertop sink and even some of the furniture. Very small and no one in the family showed bites, just not what you want to deal with while on vacation.

I would love to come back again good people all around and safe.

Our stay was wonderful! The only complaint I have is that the bathroom needs some updates with the ventilation. We had a bigger room and the one side with the bathroom was so hot and muggy. The bathroom fan didn’t really work. It was muggy and was smelly. That’s my only complaint. I would totally stay here again. The breakfast was good and the staff were great.

Didnt have gr8 amenities except for the pool, which was vool. Mo Sauna. Mot really a full breakfast. You had to make it yourself, wFfle maker, bread, powdered eggs, ver greasy bacon and Sausage. Not gr8. Area feels not the safest. I wouldn't walk alone. Mot as described. For the money not worylth it.

For being an older property, it was well maintained, and the staff were attentive and supportive. The bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was divine. Also, the all day coffee machine was a good idea.
