The hotel is beautiful and close to everything. You can walk easily to the sites and restaurants. The service was good. And our room was very nice. The beds were so comfortable. I can not wait to stay here again.

Gorgeous hotel built for a stop along the Orient express and it shows. It has a really cool history. Everything looks great and the staff is really welcoming and it is very convenient as you can walk to everything you need to see/eat from there. The breakfast was also delicious and I would highly recommend the hotel.

As a Expedia platinum member nothing we get benefit from this hotel. Customer service were so rude and unpleasant when I was checked in. Do not want to come back to this hotel again.

There where no medium or large coffee mugs, only small ones in the room . When i asked room service for a larger coffee mug there response was ,we dont have any.. I found this hard to believe, being a 5 star property. Other wise we had a nice stay..

We booked a high priced suite at the most highly rated hotel in Zagreb. Thus, we expected a certain level of customer service and comfort. First, we arrived in late, late afternoon to be told our room still wasn't ready and we had to wait. Wait we did for 1.5 hours in their bar where you couldn't get any attention (despite plentiful staff and very few customers). Our room was quite nice but the air conditioning barely worked so my husband couldn't sleep. We reported the problem to hotel staff. No help. 2 days without adequate air conditioning. The second night there was an extremely LOUD concert happening just below our room. We reported our concerns many times. The music finally stopped at 11pm. The next morning, when checking out, my husband once again brought up the loud concert only to be told "Oh, you should have been told that was going to happen." Uhh.. No we weren't informed and, if we had been, we'd have asked to be moved. Elegant hotel that could have been amazing had the service matched the decor.

The Esplanade Zagreb was beautiful with 5 star service. The restaurants were delicious and the room was very comfortable and large. Location was great.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, despite a minor issue with the room. However, the receptionist handled the problem efficiently and with excellent customer service, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay.

The staff were very helpful, especially when a purse was left in an uber car. The hotel is well suited for exploring Zagreb on foot. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. There is an underground shopping complex right next door to the hotel where you can purchase anything you might have forgotten. Very impressive Hotel.

A lovely traditional hotel with art nouveau architecture and style. The decoration was pretty glamorous. The staff was very hospitable and the concierge gave us good recommendations. The room we got was very spacious and had a gorgeous view of the hotel's terrace. We also liked the toiletries from L'Occitane. We did not have breakfast included, but it was raining so we decided to stay in and pay for it even though it was pricey, but it was worth it. Varied and delicious choices, the restaurant was really nice and had excellent service. The hotel was in the Lower Town, but just about 10 minutes from Upper Town (which is more touristy, but we found the Lower Town to be prettier). While we had a great experience at the hotel overall, it does feel a bit run down and in need of an upgrade. However, we felt the price we paid was very reasonable for what we got. If they upgrade the hotel, they will probably increase the rates.
