Nice location. Most rooms face the ocean and the location is great - walking distance to Cabarete beach with it's restaurants and bars. Very nice pool and you can enjoy it at happy hour, where a nice selection of cocktails go for about $2. The rooms are very large and comfortable, clean and well equipped with a gas cook-top, microwave and full-size fridge. Complimentary breakfast is nice but service can be a little spotty. We had a few problems with the room - broken shower head and toilet - both fixed right away. A problem with the air conditioning took a few days, but it was the weekend. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The hotel is basic and close to the Cabarete beach. It’s very outdated, but its the unique of it. The breakfast is good with few options to choose from. You need to get ay extra for espresso… the staff is friendly and helpful.
You need to give 200$ (US Dollars) for deposit on check in. On the check out they sent someone to check the room and if you didn’t broke anything, they will return the deposit back. Pretty nervous because you don’t know if the room had something broken before you came. There is a free parking. If you have a lot of luggage, ask for first floor room, since there are no lifts. We didn’t use the pool, since it was raining most of our stay.

Wonderful!! Great place for a 2 night stop on our island honeymoond trip. Connor's Cafe Spot across the road is delicious! Janet's Market is a short walk for decent groceries. Property was well maintained, very quiet, the pool is spectacular :) Love that they have parking for our rental car. Front desk staff are very kind and helpful. We will definitely come back! Thank you!

When are you going to have an environmental review single use plastics should be banned this country is littered with the stuff stop the destruction of their environment 4 star hotels have no excuses for using plastics for food shampoo etc . Make it a review topic make a change they have whales here and plastics littering the beach in front of 4/5 star hotels and restaurants. Let them know that rich tourists hate this trash and it has to stop

Excellent ocean views. Close to the public beach (2 min walk). Onsite restaurant and staff were great. Most of the hotel staff spoke English. The water is treated and drinkable!!!! The shower in the ocean view deluxe room was gorgeous and the shower itself was one of my favourite parts. Definitely will return.

Great little hotel. My favourite in Cabarete, but the nightly price has crept up over the last year or two making others more attractive. It has a lovely location and sea view from the pool and dinning area. Good food and friendly staff. Rooms are large and comfortable. Some rooms are privately owned so be careful when booking. There are some slight complications when booking these rooms relating to payment. We were forced to pay cash because the hotel would not process the card payment.

The place was wonderful, it was centrally located but not too close to the noise, it’s not on the beach but access to all the beach and clubs and restaurants in Cabarete. The rooms are big and comfortable. Very clean. Service is wonderful, I will definitely go back

Our stay was fantastic! The room’s view was gorgeous! We loved the infinity pool overlooking the aqua and royal blue Atlantic waters. The staff were professional, helpful and friendly. The restaurant was nicely decorated in Caribbean style and the food & drinks were delicious. The hotel was in a great quiet location yet easily walkable to all the beach restaurants and bars. We enjoyed watching all the many colorful kite surfing on Cabarete and Kite Beaches. Don’t miss going to Encuentro Beach and watching the surfers and having lunch at the restaurant bar there. We liked everything about our stay in The Valero in spectacular Cabarete!

The unit was very spacious and comfortable, all of the AC’s worked nicely. The kitchen was well kept and the view is amazing.
The food at the hotel restaurant and rounding areas were very good and affordable.
The pool was always clean. The service at the hotel and at the restaurant were very good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The view is absolutely amazing. I would go back to velero beach resort for sure 10 out of 10.
The only thing I didn’t like was the stairs we had to take to go up to the 3rd floor, you get all wet if it rains.

I was concerned about this being on the far end of the beach. However, it turned out to be perfect! All places you need to walk to are 10 minutes or less. Yet, it is away from all the noise. The cook-to-order breakfast is a big plus as well. Great updated rooms too. Lots of space and options. If I make any plans to return to the Puerto Plata area, I would absolutely choose this property.

Hotel is very well kept. Loved everything in the new remodeled room. Restaurant service was excellent and very friendly staff. This is my favorite hotel at Cabarete Beach.
