Dismal, at best

Wonderful hotel and apartments with restaurants, entertainment and leisure facilities on site. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

It Was A fantastic experience. Sergio and the desk staff were wonderful to my wife and I. We are in Spain from Canada celebrating our 25 Anniversary. Staff and hotel were splendid.

Perfect location.

The one thing that lets this hotel down is the poor quality of the food in the Dinner Buffet, "stay away from it", the Al A Carte restaurant was just a little better, breakfast was very good, why cant they reach the same standard with the Dinner Buffet as the breakfast???? Everything else was very good, friendly staff, very clean, comfortable, great pool area. Alcohol was a little pricey in the bar.

It was the perfect location for us. Beautiful view of the beach and mountains from our room. We loved having a terrace. Kitchen is small but all we needed to make breakfast, coffee & tea in the morning. There is a grocery store on the resort, but also there’s a large grocery store right across the street (Dai). We loved the resort feel of the beautiful pools and restaurants. There were lots of chairs and we never had a problem getting one. The only negative is that they don’t provide pool towels (so we brought down our bath towels from the room, but many people had their own from home). Very close to go in to Malaga for the day. We took Bus 110 and it went right to the historical area near the water (1.70 euros each way). It took 45minutes, but we got to see the area on the way (as one town blends with the next). We mainly used this as a home base to explore Costa del Sol. Very easy to drive here. Parking in lot filled up quickly but usually some on the street.

Really user friendly, convenient and very reasonable

Great location with eater views. Excellent facilities and so clean and well maintained . Impressed with maid service and all the staff very pleasant and attentive. Would definitely go back if have the chance. Had a little trouble with WiFi in our room the last week we were there but they said system was being worked on so hopefully they were able to improve it.

Good sized, well equipped clean apartment but very noisy on a night with large air con unit outside (we didn’t have the air con on) and furniture being dragged across the floor at all hours in the events room above. Please note if travelling within Spain, reception will not let you check in without your actual passport, photos not accepted.

Superb staff

The rooms were as expected. The breakfast buffet was substandard, and around half were sweets that one could get from the local market. The dinner buffet, this should be avoided at all cost, almost nothing of quality. Lastly the hospitality was hit or miss with the staff. Disappointed that certain facilities were going to be closed during our stay. All in all, would not return.

Having stayed here previously on this occasion I again was not dissapointed.

Overall a great stay and the staff weee fantastic and the only thing that let it down was the quality of the food in the a la carte as was quite poor. I would also recommend having the A la carte restaurant separate and in the restaurant to the right of the buffet restaurant which closed early for some strange reason and is of much better ambience and feel than the big free for all in the buffet side.

Good location. Very helpful reception staff. The apartment was a good size and had everything I needed including a well equipped kitchenette. My only grumble would be that it was noisy in the mornings, from 7.45 I could always hear furniture being dragged across the floor above and the cleaners talking loudly in the corridor. Nice pool area with sunbeds and bar, entertainment several evenings during the week and various activities if you want them.

A good Aparthotel. We had a sea -and poolview apartment with a big balcony. Relaxing for in the evening. Some furniture were outdated. Clearly indicate whether you want a queen-size bed or two single beds (with Sofa bed for two kids/adults). We had clearly indicated this but still got two single beds. The kitchen was good with the necessary equipment. The bathroom was not too big but good enough, only after a shower the water overflowed (but that is a general problem for many apartments). Did have some noise nuisance from the wedding parties that were held in one of the halls. In summary: a nice hotel with good breakfast, rooms (the sea view made it extra) and swimming pool.

Sound-proofing is really bad. Wifi is weak, phone signal is weak, almost disconnect with all internet. Terrible experience.

Sunset Beach is a great choice

The hotel rooms are dated and require total reburbishment. We booked a Studio, Seaview, Terrace but when we went to our room, they had given us one WITHOUT a terrace. On returning to Reception they said Expedia had displayed an inaccurate description. There were no studios with terraces. However after complaining our friends (who also booked this category) were reallocated a studio with a terrace (so they did have some) but there were none left for us. We ended up in 3 different rooms in the 5 days of our trip so that we had a terrace but had to work round availability and other bookings. The Hotel Manager was abrupt and reluctant to help. I submitted an official complaint to Expedia 5 days ago but as yet have not received confirmation or a response.

We liked sunset beach club but would only return self catering as we had dinner 3 of the 4 nights we were there and food was cold and tasteless and i definitely would not recommend it to anyone we booked superior rooms and we were given rooms that did not have any sunshine at any time of day which was very disappointing the hotel itself was very nice and staff very pleasant area around hotel pleasant mary

I was a sole traveller and felt perfectly safe at this hotel. The pool area was great.

Me and my wife enjoyed stay at this hotel for 6 nights. The only problem was pool which was overcrowded. Apparently most of them were outsider not resident. I believe hotel make money for its pool

Not perfectly wall isolation, we could hear the noise in the corridor in the rooms. Dinner (buffet) was not so good.

Sunset beach is under construction….they want to modernize this beautiful hotel. So there was construction sites going on on multiple floors. Could be dusty and noisy at times. But the location, great staff, access to transportation and amenities make so worth the stay.

Close to walking/running boardwalk.
