Everything was pretty good, bed can be softer though.

Value for money okay. The hotel is located quite central and the staff is friendly. However, the hotel is not the newest one and so is tge condition.

Breakfast is well but room is not so clean it was bad smell.

Arrival and departure access to and from the hotel is poor. This as a no frills hotel with no staff to assist with baggage etc. The rooms are spacious and clean. Bathrooms good with adequate appointments. The included breakfast is excellent with a very good choice of both Chinese and western food. Administration staff are efficient and helpful.

Even I ordered a non smoking room, but I still can smell cigarettes sticking on my towel.

Staffs are friendly and easy access to various Malls and eateries. Not far from Airport.

Would enjoy different taste if some items were changed periodically.Underground market in front of main entrance has been probably going for renovation. So could not enjoy. Street food shops are very attractive.

Good stay. Minor confusion at check-in as English booking, but soon sorted out. There are staff there who can speak English (eg William).(My Mandarin is poor and having a Chinese wife is no help as she speaks no English... hey, were working on it !!!). Unlike prev hotel though this issue was soon sorted out.. We stayed in a suite room, about 20 bux more but a lot better and still cheap (au $80).Thx to staff sorting out extra nights... holding luggage... returning phone left in room... If youre lost trying to find it... look for the green H high on the building.Only grumble (not really) is we had two TVs and the remote for one would change the other... so my Chinese wife watching her telly... and me watching my English one... she kept changing my channels as she changed hers... easily solved of course... Enjoyable three days... bloody freezing outside... and attractions are all closed except for about 3 months of the year... so if thats why youre there, youd better check first. We went to the Zoo and although half was closed, we enjoyed the complete lack of crowds... allowed us to behave like children, climbing on the fibreglass monkeys and zebras etc etc.

The area have a lot of places to shop and eat. The room is comfortable and clean. The breakfast more suit towards the Chinese. Overall, its a good hotel.

I had originally booked the hotel for 4 nights, but checked out after one night. Room was dirty and air conditioning did not work. Excessive noise from across street could be heard in the room. I was very displeased and departed early the next day. I'm a huge fan of Holiday Inn Express, but this venue left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

The hotel is neatly kept. It is also comfortable and since it is in the town center it is easy to access many places. The only problem i encounted was the language barrier. Many of their staff cant speak English. It was really a challenge for me.

Would be much better if they did not have the constant speakers on the mall play over and over 14 hours a day. You can't keep your window open without eventually being annoyed. Other than that, we loved the central location.

The hotel is at a good location. It is very close to the railway station and other attractions. The mattress is very hard for some reason. Overall, it is an okay hotel, but I don't think I will stay there again.

Best feature is the location. Walking distance to many attractions. Also cheaper than some similar hotels. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was some noise from advertising in the street below during the day, but it stopped at night. Anyway, that comes with staying in the middle of a city. The cleanliness was satisfactory, but attention to detail lacking. A couple of the staff spoke english well, but most had limited or no english language skill. I was confused as to why they asked for money at check in as I prepaid the room, but eventually understood a key deposit is the policy. The included breakfast is reasonable.

Excellent location in the centre of Dalian for leisure or business. Really good size and very clean rooms. Will be going back next time.

Centrally located, not fancy, but very decent, nice big room, with nice design and views. Staff very nice and helpfull giving directions. Therewas a little conffussion regarding the hotel charge but it was solved by the staff. I recommend this hotel for the price, if you are in a budget.

This hotel is right downtown adjacent to a nice pedestrian mall that has a McDonald's and KFC if you want American fast food. It's also one block from historic Zhongshan Square, and just two blocks from a major department store. Nearby shopping otions include Gucci, Dior, and Louis Vuitton. Dalian's intriguing "Russian Street" is just a 5-minute walk away. My non-smoking room had a closet with sliding door, an extra long countertop with built-in curved desk and office chair, climate control, courtesy bar, fridge, room safe, loveseat, and firm queen-size bed. The bathroom had high-end touches like curved opaque glass that let in light by day or provided ambient lighting by night. An electric hot water pot was useful to brew complimentary tea/coffee or the gift package of teas presented upon arrival. Mis-labeled as a "continental breakfast", the free morning meal is actually a splendid full-blown Western+Chinese buffet featuring made-to-order dishes, juices, fresh fruits and more. The evening steak/seafood buffet is very inexpensive, yet includes such goodies as prime rib, abalone, and draft beer. This hotel also has a separate seafood restaurant on site that costs a bit more. Their courteous bi-lingual staff provided me with a customized list of high-end Dalian restaurants, and also arranged a day tour of the area. This thoroughly re-modeled hotel is nothing like the Holiday Inn Express outlets I've often stayed at in the States. I'd give it a big thumbs up.
