Great resort in the middle of others. Breakfast fabulous and the room spacious and clean. We didn't find the staff particularly friendly but maybe just busy. Good location. Prices reflective of being in a resort but it is a lovely walk along the coast into Lapad.

Seldom do properties seem as great as they are advertised but this place was remarkable. First class service and wonderful accommodations. The multi room hotel is broken up into smaller segments, making it seem more intimate than it would otherwise. The setting is sublime, set back from the sea but high enough in elevation to get a view. Southern and western orientation makes the expansive outdoor terrace and pools shimmer at sunset.

The hotel is clean and well-maintained. The staff were universally friendly, helpful, and efficient. The room was good, with a massive bed, but the linen was undersized and kept untucking. It was unusually hot while we were there. Our room was on the top floor and the air conditioning struggled to keep the temperature down. Reception kindly reduced the minimum temperature when I raised the issue. That helped, but even with the aircon set at 17 deg C 24 hours a day, the room was never really cool other than in the early hours of the morning. Our sons stayed on the second floor and their room was fine, so I assume the issue is heat soaking through the ceiling from the roof space. It's a short walk down to the water. We went for a swim in the sea every morning before breakfast - best bit of the holiday! The buffet breakfast was great. I was less impressed with the buffet dinner (which I only had once). There were lots of options, but nothing was particularly impressive. I tried several of the desserts at the end and was genuinely surprised at how poor most of them were. It's a small thing, but both the filter and espresso machine coffee were dreadful. It really took the shine off an otherwise excellent breakfast experience. Another small thing: the shower gel was rubbish (both smell and lathering) and there was no conditioner. Despite imperfections, overall we were happy with the experience and would return (as long as they could guarantee a room on a lower floor).

This hotel is really great. It is modern, in great condition, with good amenities. You also have the added bonus of using the amenities of the several sister Valamar hotels next door. The only negative is that the location is surrounded by hotels so eating options are limited and there isn't a fun strip to walk to.

Absolutely awful stay - the rooms are like dungeons and the staff is unprofessional. This is a 2 star property at best yet markets itself as a 4-star hotel.

I don’t feel this property was exactly as advertised. The pool area was small for the number of guests, I never managed to find a lounge chair. The beach required you to pay for a lounge chair for the day and was difficult to find - about a 15 min walk from the hotel. Upon checking in a bit early, I was happy to wait for the room. When I returned at the advised time, the room still wasn’t ready. Rudely the staff told me to wait for official check in, later checking in other guests behind me in the line. It felt like a mid level all inclusive resort, which was not what I was anticipating.

The room is satisfactory and clean but airconditioning can be further improved. The phone in the room is also not working and was not repaired even after reported it. They provided us a free bottle of proseco for our anniversary so it was a great touch. The beach in front of the hotel was impressive with clear waters. The breakfast was amazing as well with great variety. Gym, spa and pool are also open for extended periods compared to other hotels (7am to 9pm). Highly recommended

The hotel was nice and clean. We stayed there for four nights with a half board package and we were happy with the options that the hotel offered. The service was very good and the staff was very polite. Clean areas everywhere and good service even at the outdoor patio or pool.

Very Good Stay

Gorgeous hotel, pristinely clean, facilities are great with plenty to do around the hotel and beach 10 minute walk away. Staff so friendly, breakfast buffet is delicious, everything fresh and lots of variety. Location is great 10 minutes on the bus to old town (bus stop end of the driveway) 20 minute walk into Lapad on a gorgeous coastal path. My only negative comments are that our room was a little dated in decor and the bed was 2 singles pushed together instead of a double. However these were only small negatives and were not enough to outweigh all the positives of a great hotel and perfect holiday. I 100% recommend this hotel!

We LOVED our stay! It was so lovely to have the saunas and steam in the spa, great outdoor/indoor pool, and wonderful access to sister hotel beach! Easy to get in and out of town on the bus! Nice breakfast with tons of healthy options! The hotel was wonderful we would absolutely stay again!!

Lovely hotel with beautiful views

Spent a week here to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary. Had a really great time in a quiet setting that is only 20 minutes away from the old town by bus. 2nd time here, and we are sure to be back.

The staff was friendly. The hotel is clean. House keeping adjusted to my schedule. Sliding glass door welcomed to get fresh air. The pool area is great. Outdoor pool cold but considering the summer heat that is welcomed. Indoor pool is a gem. Breakfast and Dinner buffet not edible.

One of the best hotel, i have ever stayed. Amazing breakfast, nice pool. You can use the beach of another hotel from Valamar group. My wife and i were really satisfied with this hotel. If i will come to Dubrovnik again,i will stay here.

Average hotel, needs an upgrade. Food was good, pool was good, could have gotten more information from the staff about the facilities of the hotel. Would I visit them again? Probably not, but I would try out the Valamar President.

Very nice hotel with polite and courteous staff. Pool area and spa are excellent. The complimentary breakfast is great but the rest of the restaurant need more variety. The room service menu is horrible.

It was an amazing place with private beaches. Our room faced the Adriatic Sea and the sunsets were gorgeous! The breakfasts offered a variety of foods and so did the dinners. The staff was very helpful and friendly! We had a great experience!!

Excellent facilities at the Valamar Lacroma which ad a real luxury feel. The views of the islands from the hotel were excellent especially at sunset from the Vero bar. The bus to Old Town was easy to catch from outside the hotel and only €2. We had the best time and would recommend to anyone.
