Wonderful country side with golf. stayed a night and must recommended to stay here in between London and Sussex.

Lovely setting, clean, staff very pleasant. Breakfast excellent - amazing omelette ! Lovely and clean Swimming pool and Hot tub with pleasant changing facilities. Only problem … very noisy people above and opposite until 2am.

Our first room 17 only had one chair,but were very kindly given room 25 the second night which was superb,the staff were were great we would certainly recommend.

A cosy little room for my one night business trip! It was my first time staying here, and it was lovely! The room was great, the staff were helpful and the facilities and dining were excellent! There was a road closure getting in, this took extra time to get to the hotel, so it would have been beneficial for the hotel to email the guests with information regarding the diversion. It gave me a bit of a headache getting there, but Luke on reception was incredibly helpful when directing me. Thank you, Luke! I will definitely stay here again, perhaps for pleasure as opposed to business next time!

Lovely place and quiet comfortable rooms. A big bath that I didn’t get to enjoy! The spa was really nice. The hotel is currently going through some renovations so it wasn’t looking its best. No one was there to check us in when we arrived so we had to go on a search for someone. It was during the world cup final so not really a surprise! Breakfast was delicious but dinner was only so-so. We had pizza so the other options may have been better. Would definitely recommend. Nice and close to Gatwick too.

Comfortable hotel, room good, but I've stayed in a better one before at the hotel. Breakfast very good and quick. Room and bathroom both clean and tidy.

Staying here as we were going to a party locally. Knew there might be a wedding as it was Saturday and some of the reviews warned that weddings are quite common here. Loads of wedding guests standing in courtyard (into which some of the rooms open) smoking/vaping when we arrived- not the best initial impression having to walk through clouds of vape “smoke”. Room good- clean, comfy bed but terrible pillows! Went to party away from hotel and got back at midnight to hoards of wedding guests in courtyard making a lot of noise! Fortunately they quietened down at about 12.45 and I had brought earplugs so not big problem- but be warned! Cooked breakfast was very good. Help yourself coffee machine. Pleasant breakfast room and good staff. Went for swim- lovely pool - decent length for swimming. Jacuzzi looked like it had too much chemical in it- very foamy- gave that a miss. Sauna was also good. Changing rooms pretty good too although floor is uneven in places so puddles of water. Overall this hotel was pleasant and functional for what we needed but check if there is a wedding if you want any peace and quiet. It’s not the most beautiful of buildings but the golf course looks very attractive.

We came late but called before and all was prepared. Beautiful room. Two things would make it even better: Hair conditioner and one soft pillow. The pillows are so hard that it makes you neck sore. Fantastic breakfast!!

If you're booking here I recommend you check that there is not a wedding on. Unfortunately I missed the email they'd sent us telling us this. The wedding party was right outside the door until 12.30am when the music stopped, but the talking and noise continued. No dairy free alternative to butter available for toast at breakfast (their suggestion was marmalade or jam, which whilst it works, wasn't what was required). Breakfast was rather disorganised and slow with the staff having to try and make extra tables up whilst we were waiting as the main dining area was full. The spa treatments were wonderful, best part of the trip. The pool was very cold the first day, but fine the second.

Stunning setting and lovely, friendly staff. The bedroom was stylish and the bed was very comfortable. Floor to ceiling sliding patio doors allowed a great uninterrupted view but no secondary curtain for privacy. The bathroom was a big letdown - very cramped, wonky shower over the (very narrow) bath and no amenities bar hand wash and shower gel, overdue for redecorating! Restaurant nice place to be in, menu fairly limited but well prepared and generous portions, breakfast excellent.

We booked a deluxe double room and everything was brilliant until we went to jump in bed and found that our bed was just two singles pushed together which led to a pretty crappy night sleep

The complex features a golf course, heath club, conference facilities, restaurant & hotel set in the countryside. We found the health club, restaurant & hotel room to be clean and comfortable. Health club features a reasonable sized pool, sauna, steam room & jacuzzi which were all in good order - didn't use the gym. Changing rooms & showers clean. Our king-bed was v comfortable with table & chairs which could be used to watch TV as well as watching from bed if wanted. Wifi good. Shower worked well (though we did find that it caused a puddle on the floor as the enclosure over the bath didn't seal). Bathroom mirror is to one side over wc as there is window in front sink basin. Roller blinds on courtyard side allow light through as not black-out which is a shame if you like a dark room for sleeping. Nice 1st floor balcony outside lockable sliding door with views across the golf course - no barriers to walking along to neighbouring rooms. Large car park with plenty of room. (We stayed on a Thursday night during term-time when there was no conference going on but plenty of golfers around Friday). The restaurant was offering meals until 8.45pm & had quite a range of options. The morning breakfast range was excellent. When we were there, work was going on to renovate some of the hotel rooms next to us but thankfully we heard nothing until about 8am when we were about to get up. The room with en-suite bathroom was nice size although the doubled bed was 2 singles together which is a little uncomfortable. Access to the over bath show was compact not easiest to get in and out of but powerful shower. We used the bar menu and the food was very nice. We met Oscar the hotel cat, we learned that he quite often settles in the rooms himself if he can.

My wife and I had a mid-week, two-night break at Cottesmore. Our ambitions weren't anything more than to eat well, use the health club and my wife booked some treatments in the spa. The staff were welcoming. We arrived early (11am) and our room wasn't quite ready, but my wife went off for something in the Spa and I read a book in the bar/restaurant. By 12pm we'd checked into our room. Over the next two days we used the health club where the staff were exceptionally friendly. There's a full gym and reasonable swimming pool, plus a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Breakfast was the only low point. The full English breakfast is fine (difficult to get wrong) but the toast and maple syrup option that we tried wasn't great. Staff were happy to find an alternative and there's always coffee, yoghurt, toast, cereal, etc. In the evening we visited local pubs but could equally have eaten at the hotel. There are some options for walks and you can walk across the golf course and into a nearby wood. Staff at reception were happy to provide directions.
