This property was easy to find and the check in process was super smooth. This is a very short distance from Apollo Bay and a bit cheaper than properties in AB. It was perfect for our needs.

It's clean and the surrounding is quiet.

Girls in office were lovely. Overall our room was clean. Very disappointed in the shower condition. The shower base needs attention and under the shower screen where it meets the base in the corner was rotting and it appeared to be mouldy. Would not return

Very basic accommodation. We loved Marengo, but not so much the Marengo hotel. Needs updating - compared to what we’ve stayed in on our trip on the Great Ocean Road. Extremely thin walls and very noisy.

Good value, location good. Clean room. Just one complaint, it would be nice if there was a sharp knife with the rest of the cutlery in room 3

Very clean, simple but large bedrooms, easy check in with friendly staff.

Where do I begin? Got into the room which stank of takeaway food which it did for quite some time. The pool was dirty with sand in the bottom of it (no it doesn’t happen in a matter of hours - it’s not been cleaned for days). The spa had scum on the surface - only really noticed this once in it and then had itchy skin later on because of it. Pulled the sheets back on the main bed to find quite a bit of skin, dirt and hairs from the previous occupant. Called the Manager who told me that the sheets had been changed each day and sometimes hairs get stuck in cracks! Told him that was not true as the hair and dirt were on top of the sheets under the cover , and this is unacceptable . Told me again the sheets had been changed and for my peace of mind the sheets would be changed again for me. Nothing but excuses. A noisy motel (slamming doors and bathroom utilities) on a noisy highway! Apart from this generally tidy, but better off spending a little bit more for a much better room at a different hotel/motel.

Close to Appolo Bay shops, not bad area by a bit noisey been so close to the road. Pool was dirty, no security door lots of flies coming into the room. The place is a bit run down…

Such a lovely place to stay, we were there for a night and would have loved to stay longer

I have stayed there before and I will stay there again when I am in the area. I would recommend.

The room was modern and clean, the bed was comfortable and the TV and split system all worked as they should. A short drive to the Apollo Bay shopping strip.

Value for money is great. The unit was spacious enough and had a kitchenette. We were there in winter and the pool was great for a cold water plunge. Most places with an outdoor pool don't maintain them over the colder months, but they kept the filtration pump going so the water was clean. The motel is a stones throw away from the Great Ocean Walk. I highly recommend this.

Bathroom very outdated and small for a family for the price. The bathroom door squeaked and heated blankets on kids bed’s didn’t work. Not the cleanest, My daughter was playing and found an empty wine bottle under the bed which was a bit concerning! For the price it seemed a bit outdated and didn’t deliver.

Particularly liked how helpful the staff were, we had a mistake in our booking (our fault) and they helped us rectify it straight away. Lovely stay.

Other than it was a little dated it is good place to stay. Staff are accommodating and cater for your needs. We did not use the pool due to weather but it's a nice feature.

Marengo nature conservation area nearby. Free and we saw Koala Bears.

The carpet is misty and smelly. I checked in late. As soon as i checked in I got a text when to check out in the morning giving no minutes after 10 bcz of the cleaners coming. The carpet was misty and very smelly. I texted the manager back with no response. Told the cleaners in the morning and she said she can’t smell it. Overall not worth even half the price.

Issue with room resolved after the first night

Quite place to stay. The Room we stayed in has been updated a bit but bathroom a bit small. But most of all the price was right. Short drive to Apollo Bay.

Wonderful location. Very clean and cosy.

The motel was clean and comfortable for an overnight stay. The location was quiet and very close to the beach. There was a pool and a BBQ area though we didn't make use of them. The motel room had everything you needed for an overnight stay. We would come back in similar circumstances.

Loved being able to hear the ocean in the distant background. Comfortable, good size room.

Would have liked a small table & chair outside the front of the room.
