This is an amazing piece of history. I would have easily given my review a 5 "star" rating except for one small little thing - guest parking. It would be wonderful if the back parking area could be designated for Guests Only (except for the handicapped spot). We would wait until after the dinner crowd left to move our vehicle to the back parking lot. The staff was so friendly. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff and even the new bartender. The room was very comfortable. One minor annoyance was the exhaust fan in the bathroom, it was a tad loud. We were impressed at how well the wi-fi configured TV worked. It was better than ours at home! The room had a nice size little fridge/freezer combo with a microwave but if you catch one whiff of the prime rib cooking for dinner you will never need it (except if you have leftovers). We would love to come back!

This house has so much history and so beautiful. I actually stayed in 5 of the 9 rooms :). I was only suppose to stay 2 nights with my mom but ended up staying 5 nights. The staff were so helpful to help me make these additional reservations. My mom and I also at lunch and dinner at the restaurant and the food is AMAZING. I will definitely be back when I come to visit my family in TN :).

The historic property is very attractive and the suite was comfortable and great for families. Check-in however was a bit challenging, the times listed online and in the reservation from Expedia were incorrect for Monday, as the check in clerk was a bit curt and told me over the phone as she left for the night while I was driving in. Policies printed up and placed in the room don't help anyone so I suggest you call to confirm before you travel. Town was unfortunately very noisy at night with traffic and most shops etc downtown closed by evening, including almost all restaurants by 7 on Mondays. Don't rely on internet business pages for local businesses while planning your stay. Very pretty and clean town, plenty of parking.

This hotel was such a magical place. Such history. We stayed in the Andrew Jackson suite.

Each spacious room was decorated nicely and period appropriate. The room had a comfortable bed, sitting area with large TV, and roomy bathroom daily supply of linens. A lot of history was displayed on walls, furniture, and album book. The restaurant had good food and service. There was plenty of good outdoor seating. The staff was very courteous and helpful when answering our questions and giving suggestions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful historic inn with excellent restaurant & good bar. Friendly staff. Road traffic can be a little noisy in room, but otherwise quiet. Wonderful place to stay.

I always enjoy my stay at Hale Springs. The rooms are unique and spacious. The staff are super nice and helpful. Would highly recommend.

The Inn was gorgeous and so was the room. We stayed in the Mollie Gray room. We had several negative factors but they were not egregious enough to make the stay bad. There is not sufficient parking for Inn guests as the restaurant patrons took all available spaces forcing guests to park two blocks down at a church lot. The mattress was pretty awful and definitely needs replacing; it was hard and a metal coil mattress that hurt my husband's and my back. Other than that, we had a lovely stay.

Was a little loud at night with motorcycles running up and down the street. But the hotel was excellent!! We loved it!!

This is a lovely hotel filled with history. Three US presidents slept here. The hotel has been kept carefully and beautifully. We had a double bed room need for the son of the family that came with his beautiful portrait. The restaurant´s cuisine is very good and the prices are surprisingly low.

Stinky sanitizer build up on the pillows, bedding, chairs and footstool. I literally thought the footstool was wet but it was sanitizer buildup! The bedding stunk so bad that my sinuses and head hurt. We discovered a pillow in the pillow sham had not been sprayed with this horrid spray, so I was able to sleep on that. The place is cute and fun to see all the history of the town but someone needs to get their over-sanitizing under control. It's literally not necessary for an airborne virus!

This is such a unique, historic property. We stay here regularly to visit our grandchildren in the area, and it is so much more enjoyable than the nationwide franchises. Everyone is helpful and friendly, and the restaurant is excellent.

Visited on first Friday in December. All was decorated for Christmas. Inn is an early 19th building that is right out of Charles Dickens ‘A Christmas Carol’. Town is very charming dressed for the season and the food was first rate. All in all it was a great place and we’ll definitely be back. As to amenities etc., it's a near 200 year old structure so not everything is going to be perfect but, with older establishments, I completely expect that. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this place and my wife and I will be back. Shrimp and grits were perfect!

Despite downpours of rain we enjoyed our stay at this historic location. The room and service was pleasant. An excellent brewery and pub near by with great food.

This is a wonderful place to stay! This inn is full of history, character, and comfort. The service is great. The rooms are sooo spacious with clean rooms, comfortable bed, and good amenities. They have a dining room and/or a tavern to choose from for breakfast and dinner. We have stayed there several times and have never been disappointed.
