Clean and tidy modern rooms, excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. The neighbourhood is a little noisy, as the hotel is close to a bar and the churchbells, but otherwise a complete pleasure to stay here.

Super convenient location, very good rate for the room and breakfast, rooms are fine too. Some areas, like corridors look like they could be refreshed, but all in all very good value for money

We came and had a quick check in. The room was big and great. We had a beautiful view over the square. Breakfast was good. We wanted to invite our son and daughter-in-law for breakfast one morning and wanted to pay for it, but the hotel didn’t want to charge for that. Thank you. Next time we will book at room away from the street because the hotel is next to bars, pubs, music and dancing so a lot of noise. But other than that the hotel is great.

The hotel is perfectly located in the Center of Tilburg with a lot of restaurants nearby. The staff was friendly and everything went easy. The room was okay, clean and big enough considering the price, but bit noisy because of the location. Breakfast was rather basic but ok.

This is a small, family-run hotel right in the centre of Tilburg. That is both good (very convenient location for restaurants, bars and shops) and bad (you have to pay to park in a local carpark; there was thundering techno music blasting from a nearby bar until well in to the small hours). However the room was comfortable and the shower good. Wi-Fi was reliable. Breakfast was good - though not socially distanced. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel.The location is very good and very central. The breakfast is ok, it’s better to come earlier to get something to eat. We came 30 min before the end, and there was no food and no plates. The biggest disadvantage of the hotel is that it’s very loud in the evenings and nights, because of the bars which are downstairs( they are open till around 02.00) There is a church just opposite to the hotel and the bell rings every hour!! We literally couldn’t sleep for 3 nights..

In a good central location and less than 10 minutes walk from Tilburg railway station, can be noisy at times but I'd happily stay here again.

The day we arrived was the King's Birthday and celebrations were loud and widespread including right outside the Hotel. However, we quite enjoyed the music and it finished reasonably early by party standards. Breakfast is a hot & cold buffet. The quality of everything we sampled was great and the selection was wide. Everything was replenished regularly. At this price point, only a pedant could criticise. Location in the centre is unbeatable. It's close to bus routes and the Central Railway Station. The main shopping area is adjacent and there are loads of bars and restaurants alongside. As it happens, all the staff we met were as friendly as the gentleman at reception. Staff is utmost friendly and willing to help out. Last minute booking is optional. The location is in the midst of the centre which is very convenient. They have a cantine with coffee and small breakfast items around the clock. Parking is across the street in the big parking garage, making all very easily accessible.

Very nice and clean hotel. In the middle of the city center. Ideal to go for a drink in the evening in the neighbourhood.

Didnt know it was also the citys annual festival apparently the biggest in the country and the rides and games were right outside the hotel. This didnt bother us as we were only there for one night. The hotel itself was basic but clean. Bit rough around the edges. Our room was top floor next to the fire exit which our window was on the open fire escape so for privacy we had to close curtains so people couldnt see in. Also it was right next to the lift which was the main reason for our noise. Would say if you need a hotel for just one night I would say stay there but for longer stays possibly not.

Hotel is in the ideal location in Tilburg. Bus stops are 30 seconds away and the train station is about 10 minutes walk. The breakfast is above average. The tea room is open to all at all times. There is a fridge in the room. Enough space to put large luggage out of the way. Friendly and helpful staff. I would just recommend to take some ear plugs or sleep with music on as there is a church nearby which chimes often and also the area is very lively with restaurants and bars next door. Good price overall too. I would definitely visit again.

It can be very loud, with drunks singing the praises of their preferred soccer team at 3 a.m. Also, the adjacent church's bells ring every hour. Hope you are a deep sleeper.

Tilburg is still not really on the tourist map, but should be. Their Railway Museum, reached by an hourly rail shuttle service, is a great day out. Next to the City Hotel are plenty of Bars / Restaurants to spend your Euros (currently 1.40 to the pound). This is a small, family run, friendly hotel that has a free 'coffee pot' for residents.

For all the off-brand hotels I've stayed in this is one one of the best. And beautifully positioned as well with lots of choice in the way of food. Top notch breakfast and super friendly staff!

If your idea is to go to sleep to the sound of banging techno music every night, this is the hotel for you. Otherwise avoid...

Hotel staff were pleasant, however the hotel room was uncomfortable and after I had a shower became damp throughout. Noise from the street went on until very early in the morning (4am). The windows within the room did not block out any of the noise. The beds in the room are very uncomfortable. I have been to Tilburg twice for business and would suggest staying in the Mercure over the City Hotel.
