Raining in the mountains which is great for taking fotos. Comfortable beds, frog, microwave and great BBQ next to motel. Good security. Friendly service, had Sally as hostess and she was great and friendly.

Too expensive for the outdated room

We have stayed at The Sunset Motel before, so I knew that it would be just fine for my weekend trip to Brevard. Neat, clean and convenient. We'll be back!

The Sunset Motel lived up to our expectations. The motel was very retro. The room was very clean. And the staff, especially Sally was very nice and accomadating. The outside area in the back with the hammock and tables, chairs and deck were also a nice touch. Will definitely stay here for our next visit to this area. And will tell friends and family about this great place to stay.

We had a great short stay at the sunset Motel. The recreational area in the back of the property was cool to explore. The a/c worked well and the need was comfortable. Everyone we talked to was very nice and polite. Would definitely come back!

Staff dragging crap around at 6am, and lots of noise from ice maker. And traffic noise is bad.

Rooms are small. It’s a motel through and through and maybe we were expecting a slightly different experience from the way it’s marketed. It’s perfectly fine and reasonable. But it’s a motel so don’t think otherwise.

Great retro motel. Very clean and well kept. Staff was amazing!

No blackout curtain on one window, lights left on outside all night and made the room very bright and made it too bright for sleeping. Shower curtain had no liner and water ran onto floor and soaked my nightgown hanging on the back of the door.Check in was a disaster. Owner put me in the wrong room and I had to repack and move even tho he offered me money off on my room. The chair seat next to the bed had a sprung seat. Very uncomfortable. There has been a change of ownership and not for the better. I will not stay there again. Used to be a great little motel. No longer.

Cute place with lots of potential. Unfortunately, it feels like they only went halfway. The place really needs some TLC.

It was very cute. My only complaint is that the rooms are small so it was a little cramped.

We stayed in the cottage which was perfect. You step outside and the views are amazing. Well kept yard, plenty of birds, white squirrels, hammocks, fire pit and wood already chopped. We can’t wait to return!

It was a wonderful stay. It is very clean and the owner very friendly and gave us a lot of information on where to dine and the area. We highly recommend it. Looking forward to our next stay in May.

The owner of the property was befriended by my helper. An extra room key was issued without my permission, consent or knowledge. Later said helper turned violent and the sheriff was called. The owner told me directly that if anyone was going to leave it would be me?? Standing water in the shower, dog friendly. I vacated after two nights. One step up from a tent.

Neat little retro motel. Very clean. Andy was very accommodating. Nice little perk with the Victrola record player and the supplied LPs. Will definitely be back.

Great vintage motel. Sunset is all in with the ‘50s style complete with a turntable and a few records available in the room. Comfortable, clean room and nice outdoor places. Right in town, the motel was very convenient. Can’t wait to visit again.

We stay in Brevard quite often & this was the first time at the Sunset Motel. I really loved the room decorations and the room was very clean. It was different than staying at a big chain hotel & we thought it was really a nice area. I will say that when we had children, we would have loved to stay because there was a kitchenette in our room and I would have cooked breakfast & lunch for the kids there but would have had to buy a few things to make it work. It would be perfectly fine for one or two people though. No cleaning service between multiple days stay though so if you needed more coffee for your room coffee maker, make sure to buy some locally! That really was the only thing that was below my expectations. Overall & good & fun stay. Would do it again!

My stay at the Sunset Motel exceeded my initial expectations. I was in the apartment and my first impression was… very cool, the décor was 60’s retro. Everything was clean and in good condition and kitchen appliances were like new. A staff member was available by phone and very friendly. There was a turntable with a half dozen LPs. Putting the needle on vinyl took me back decades. I will stay there again, if the apartment is available.

Very nice. Took us back to traveling when we were young. Highly recommend for something different.

Very Basic motel. Clean. Close to a noisy highway and the heater thermostat didn’t work properly. We did have heat but the temperature was about 10 degrees or more different than what the heater/thermostat read. Pillows were extremely soft.

Everything I had hoped for and more. Absolutely wonderful place to relax and regroup.

Cool look but the room needs updating especially the bathroom. Wasn’t until the next morning we realized there wasn’t any soap or shampoo in the room so just rinsed off without lather. No cable with a sketchy fire stick set up with no local stations. Beds no too comfortable. So while kitschy not too comfortable.
