Lovely stay, very helpful reception guy when we checked in. Great room, very glad of the AC. Great location in the centre of town.

Nothing remarkable but the location

Great location Central to Alkmaar at the same time it wasn't noisy. Clean room with everything that's needed.

When checking in I was upgraded, I guess because I am a fairly frequent guest and got a suite with balcony and jacuzi which was very nice. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive.

The location is excellent. Otherwise the building is old needs renovation

Location perfect in the centre of town. Friendly staff accommodated my very early departure. Room excellent. Can't fault it.

Simple, clean and comfortable room. I stayed for 7 days. Super well located and within walking distance of most sites. Super friendly and helpful staff. Would absolutely stay here again.

The sound insulation of the hotel and the external street is too bad. The carpet inside the hotel is too old. Need to be updated

The location is centric and the design and the staff are nice but the construction and equipment standards are lower than expected for the rate charged (matraces and pillow too soft, not enought sockets, noises from other bathrooms can be heard, the cheapest ever water heater, few tea and coffee bags...)

Breakfast good have been better and more healthy > have been the same for many years now. Not much to choose from. Otherwise fine.

It is understandable that a building of that period does not have A/C, however, when it is over 30C outside, there should at least be a fan in the room.I have no idea what material the pillows and duvet were made of, but they were more suited to Arctic conditions and not the height of summer. (Sweaty and very uncomfortable.)The breakfast was good.

This hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to lots of excellent restaurants and shops. The hotel is in desparate need of a facelift. The rooms are extremely dated. Chocolate brown carpeting. Toilet in a room quite a distance from where the bedroom area is. Long dark hallway from bed area to the toilet room. The breakfast was very nice in the morning with lots of selection and friendly staff. Overall good experience. If they spent some money on fixing up the place it has the potential to be excellent. Weird tall vases in hallway with awful plastic fake flowers. Very small television. I could go on.......but at the end of the day great location, friendly staff, great location and reasonably priced with a nice breakfast.

The staff was very informative and friendly. Service we requested was excellent. The hot and cold breakfast buffet was great. Our Deluxe room, however, was a major disappointment. The bed was so close to the bathroom that we could only open the door an 1/8 of way, and walk in sideways. The interior wooden beams on the other side were also so close that we could not walk around the bed. And the shower stall had no shelves at all to place soap, shampoo, razors, etc. So they went on the floor. Extremely poorly designed room. Would strongly recommend booking a Superior room instead.

If you like Amsterdam you will definitely love Alkmaar (aka lil' Amsterdam). Been to Alkmaar several times it has everything that the big city has. The hotel is located in the heart of the town, a very short walking distance to the bars, restaurants, canals, tourist attractions and to the nearby railway station. The hotel was good choice very reasonable price, very clean, good sized rooms with large bathrooms with all associated facilities. A good choice of hotel.. Recommended ++++

Good location in the centre of Alkmaar. Hotel has a nice bar and everything around is in walking distance. Room is very simple, but well done. Shower and amenities are very poor and the towels are very small. The pillows of the bed are of the worst quality and size. (Square)and I did not sleep well. Breakfast very simple and I expected a bit more. All in all an OK hotel, but I prefer another one..

it is very near city centre, and easy to eat and shopping.....In the Saturday morning, there is a morning market out of the hotel. it is really fun.

In the middle of town. Beautiful old fashioned building done up on the inside. Would stay there again.

Lovely hotel, staff very helpful. Not the hotels fault but the church bells go off all night long so bring earplugs!

Walk, bicycle, train, or automobile it is easy to get to. Location, Location, Location! It is in the middle of everything, Alkmaar. The center of medieval history, shopping, museums, restaurants, and friends.

Nice trip to alkmaar for two nights. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was good.
