We had a great time staying here. It was my first time in Puerto Galera and when I come back again this will be my first choice of hotel. The location is great and staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful.

The Staff and management are wonderful. The room is great for the area and it is on par with the top hotels in the area. The only downside I can say is that smokers in others rooms cause the small to go into your room. Apparently my clothing absorbed the smell and it stunk up my suitcase that had to be dealt with when I got home. I will still be back and I recommend it to everyone!

Spent several days with them and I was pleased with my decision to stay at this location.- Quiet: Its not down in the heart of the city and clubs so you dont get the hustle and bustle and the noise that comes with it. Be aware that you are right next to the main road so you will hear cars and motorcycles.- Clean: The hotel is very clean and well maintained- Friendly: Everyone is very nice and helpful- Food: The food prepared was tasty and at a good price- Comfortable: The room is well done and they have hot water all the time. Bed is nice and the fridge in well stocked.I have to say the Liza was great in the dive area to help the divers with anything they could need. Anthony is a great Divemaster and I enjoyed diving with him (being an instructor I would welcome him to be my Divemaster) They clearly have the best boats in the area. Twin outboards and well designed.

The hotel is okay. The staff was helpful and accommodating. I ordered a dish that was not on the menu and they prepared it for us. The menu choices are very limited. The price is more expensive than the local prices but okay for tourists. The hotel provided two tours for us that were so enjoyable and memorable. The tour guides were both excellent. We took a lot of beautiful pictures. The room we had was on the second floor. It was clean and comfortable. There were two bath towels, two hand soap, two shampoo packs, and a drinking glass. Water was available in the refrigerator for P35. There were other stuff they were selling - like peanuts.

Mermaid is a very nice place to stay in Sabang. Room was clean and in good condition. Staff were courteous and helpful. The premises overall is well maintained. Restaurant food was average. Not bad but not mind blowing either. Downsides: there was not much space to put toiletries in the bathroom; the aircon was pretty weak; the Wi-Fi was woeful; and there was a cigarette odour in the room that never really went away. Overall though it's a decent place and I'd certainly stay again if I were in Sabang again. However management need to improve the Wi-Fi and ban smoking in the rooms. It's really disgusting staying in a room that has had heavy smokers in previously.

Very nice hotel, clean room, great staff. Pool table. Nicely secluded despite being amid all the bars etc. i was a little disappointed by Sabang - basically good for divers and men seeking "companionship". That said nobody brought any girls back to this hotel, as far as i was aware. I visited in november (low season).

Staff is very friendly and polite as always in PI. Food is average, but not bad. Pool is small, but OK. Need to get better lounge chairs that recline to 180 degrees flat so you can also lay on your stomach, not just on your back when sunning. Hotel was mostly empty during my stay... if you get normal rooms, there is not much privacy unless you close off all your curtains... It would be nicer if they could be open, but then everyone sees into your room. The sound from the street is fairly noisy, so light sleepers beware. More towels should be offered, and the A/C is extremely weak ( I tried two rooms, both the same). The dive shop had no knowledgeable English speaking staff available... instructors are contracted, and good. Overall, its a decent value and a nice enough place, but they could definitely make some improvements.

My son said the hotel was very nice and comfortable, he highly recommends it when my husband and I come visit in the near future. Price very reasonable for the quality compared to the other hotels around the area.

Overall this is a good hotel to stay in, located a walk away from where the boat arrives. Staff are friendly and very attentive/quick to ensure all needs are taken care of. All rooms face the pool, which is a very nice design. Food price is reasonable, and quality is good. Only issue I had was the bed being uncomfortable and caused me to have a backache and stiff neck.
