Beautiful hotel, great location. Very friendly staff, helpful, charming.

Stayed at this hotel for three days and unfortunately it was one of the worst hotels experience I have ever had. I was unable to sleep in the bed due to the bed and pillow being really uncomfortable, the hotel needs to upgrade them. The walls in the hotel is pretty thin with no noise insulation, if you end up with a neighbor who goes to the bathroom during the nights, that will make a lot of noises in your hotel room which will keep you awake or wake you up if you are lucky enough to get some sleep. The breakfast was basic without a lot of selection. Day 1: Due to condition of the bed and pillows I only managed to get 1 hour of sleep the entire night which was not ideal when you are going to work the next day. Day 2: Due to a flickering light, I got another room this night, while they was fixing the light. Day 3: Back to the hotel room from the first night.I ended up leaving for the airport in Gothenburg during the night as I couldn’t sleep anyway.Only managed to get 1.5 hours of sleep this night. Apart from not replacing the old towels the only positive thing during my stay was the friendly and helpful staff. For reference I have been staying at a various number of hotels in both Europe and Asia the last 19 weeks and this is by far the worst experience. I usually don’t write ratings good nor bad, but this one definitely deserved one, so that they can improve them self for the future. I myself will not be coming back to this hotel the next time I come to Lysekil.

overall a really good experience, good service and great breakfast. a bit pricey considering the room size. if you need laundry service you have to pay 95 sek up front.

An classic experience with a great location next to the sea. Rooms a bit smallish perhaps not the best place to stay if really hot, which is rare. Be sure to book one of the bigger rooms and you would really enjoy it!

The hotel has a nice location by the sea. However, direct access to the sea is not available for normal hotel guests. You need to book one of two rooms that have access to the sea. Maybe this is communicated somewhere but i could never notice such communication prior to my booking and was disappointed with the lack of direct access to the sea. The breakfast buffet was standard for a 3 star hotel. Also despite the current Corona epidemic, a very standard approach to managing the distance between the guests as there only was some markings in the floor to help the guests to keep a safe distance when waiting in the line for food. Access to food and drinks was the same as other hotels before Corona with the same cutlery being used for bread, cheese etc by all guests. After our check out one day before our scheduled departure, we were informed that there was an option to order breakfast to the room. The access in the village of Lysekil is excellent with a short walk to a beach, restaurants and bars. The staff at the dinner service was very nice and the food was good but selection of food choices was limited. All in all the hotel has potential to be a classy choice in the nice village of Lysekil. For this large investments are needed to upgrade rooms, gardens, reception to international luxury standards. Probably difficult to do with such an old building though.
