Website says pool open until 11 but it’s not. Very noisy ac unit. Loud neighbour guests. Poor view and room location. Not cleaned well. Bed were hard. They seem to give Expedia clients bad rooms. Some staff were rude.

Average hotel but in a sketchy area

The hotel is great we usually stay here when we come to Timmins

Overall the experiencenwas good however. A few areas of concern. The carpeting was old and in need of replacing in the hallways. The area is unsafe. Thisnis not the eatablishments fault but a fault of the city. There are junkies and drunks at everyncorner. One girl was droopednover drooling on berself. Her needle clearly at her feet. I felt unsafe parking my car on that side of the property.

As soon as we parked we were greeted by a crackhead named Pheonix. A known “regular” by the front desk personnel. Pheonix will ask you for water or money and will even follow you into the lobby eventually asking front desk personnel for water which they provide him and then playfully shoo him away. We were assured he was harmless tho. Also, the hotel only accepts credit cards. No cash, no debit credit and they don’t let you know about this ahead of time prior to checking in. So if you had a long, 7 hr drive to Timmins, you are looking to check in at around 11pm, and you do not have a credit card you will be turned away. Thanks holiday inn!

Easy access to the function we were attending

Very clean. Breakfast was great!

We booked 4 rooms of the same types of rate. Two of which were next to the elevator and the room size were only 2/3 of the other 2 regular rooms, and there were no fridge or microwave oven comparing, and also noisier because they faced at a busy corner across from the gas station. My room was changed after speaking to the front desk, but one of the couple was quite upset to the experience of staying at that Holiday Inn location The next morning breakfast were pretty good. The staff were friendly overall 👍

I did not like the fact that they did not honor my IHG member privileges because I booked through Expedia.

Facilities and room were very clean! Included breakfast had a nice variety of options and was very good. Friendly staff.

My stay was good overall. The only issue was the quoted fee when I booked was not honored. I avised the attendant at the desk upon check-out and was told the manager would look into it. I never heard from anyone at the hotel. When I called back a few days later I was told to contact Hotels.com. They contacted the hotel on my behalf and 5 business days later still crickets from Holiday inn. I travel regularly and fortunately have never encountered this type of situation. Its disappointing but my business will go elsewhere in the future.

New clean building, rooms and amenities. Good breakfast and friendly staff.

Timmins has accumulated a vagrant problem and many hang out near the hotel property.

Very nice room but I was charged more than the quote you people gave me.

There were several individuals pestering people for spare change or cigarettes. Will have to book somewhere else next time or avoid Timmins all together. Maybe they can invest in security????

quick overnight stay. Bed was comfortable.

The property was great but my review is based on my check in experience. I paid for the room through Expedia using my visa/debit. We made the choice recently to get rid of our visa. Everywhere we purchase online accepts the visa debit anyways. We went to check in and they requested a visa for any damage. I said I don’t own a visa. Asked if I could give them cash or my debit. No to both. Wouldn’t let me speak to manager. No manager around. It was a Saturday and there wasn’t any banks open to get a credit card and we were five hours away from home with three little ones in the vehicle waiting to check in. They told me there was nothing they could do and the reservation would have to be cancelled. Luckily someone else offered who was in the lobby to put it on their card. A $15 holding fee would be applied and whatever charge the hotel decided to put on if there was damage. There wasn’t of course. Just a family weekend with young children. This sort of stuff should be disclosed at booking not when put in my situation without any other options. They weren’t very friendly about third party booking (Expedia) and said this sort of stuff is disclosed if you book through them.

Room size was generous. Not enough towels provided for the number of guests registered.

Hôtel did not have recycling bins in room or breakfast area

The room was nice, jetted tub was cleaned properly as no "hair" a floating after jets turned on as we have had issues at other hotels with jetted tub after jets turned on produced "pubic hair" etc as jets were not cleaned properly etc also the having hot water was great as bad experience with another hotel when got up in morning and shower had no hot water --- overall very happy about our stay at this hotel and would stay here again ... and also recommend it

Hotel is very run down. Elevators were so loud (grinding and screeching). Rooms were not so clean, found dried vomited between one of the beds and a night stand. Furniture was all scratched and marked. Carpet was ripped. Fire sector was hanging from the ceiling. On a positive note: Staff were friendly and prompt. Breakfast bar was well stocked.
