I saw several bad reviews on this place that were not fair. If you are looking for a top rate new hotel and are willing to pay for it, then this is not for you. It is a typical older motel with plenty of character. Price is right. Four restaurants that you can walk to. Check in and out was friendly.

Great place to rest after a full day and night fishing at the beach. The beds are comfortable and the ac is cold.

The front desk man was nice and helpful. The property is the cheapest price wise so you get what you pay for . It was good for 2 nights while we got to enjoy lots of our time at the beach.

Found a whole rat in my Cobb salad

The door was rusted, the carpet was filthy, sheets looked dirty, bathroom and tub were dirty, paint was peeling, holes in walls & roaches!

Hotel was clean and comfortable. If you're just looking for less expensive place to stay this is a good option. No bells or whistles. But it was clean and the beds were comfortable. Good location. Not too far from the beach.

My teens and I went down for Sandfest weekend and stayed at the hotel. It’s not a five star and I was not expecting luxury. It was very clean. Enough space for my teenagers and I and the owner was extremely nice. I had even left my Apple Watch on the bed and he immediately went to look and mailed it back to me the next day. I absolutely recommend if you want an inexpensive and clean room.

Do NOT stay here. This place is disgusting and smells like a dirty locker room, cigarette smoke, and wet dogs. The carpets are sticky and stained with who knows what. The bathroom had what looked like a blood stain on the wall. The beds were musty, gritty, and damp. There was dog hair inside the drawers of the furniture. The room was very clearly previously a smoking room from the smell. At first we thought we could deal with it, but the longer we spent in the room the worse the smell got and it started making me feel sick. We could only bear it for about an hour. I finally just booked another place down the road and told the front desk that we need to leave because the room was so bad. He didn’t seem surprised and said he would process a full refund but they still haven’t even started the refund according to Expedia support. Luckily I have video of the desk guy saying he will process a refund, and if it doesn’t get done soon I’ll be contacting OYO corporate to file a formal complaint about this franchisee. This place was a nightmare and was way too expensive for what it is. I would never stay here ever again and highly encourage everyone to stay away.

Smelled like an ashtray random stains in shower. Capet was sticky and full of stains. Remote was held together with tape.

It is ok for a cheap stay. Parking is limited and no ability to call ahead and get questions asked.

The best place to rest after a beach day

So.... temper your expectations. This motel is OLD and shows all the signs of an aging property near the ocean. If you're looking for spotless tile grout and modern amenities, this isn't your place. However, if you're looking for a place to crash that's close to the beach, and you don't need fancy or even "nice", this is a good option. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, sheets and bedding were adaquate. Property itself was quiet even though fully booked. Office staff were friendly and helpful. There's an italian restaurant next door, and on the other side is a Dollar General. As long as you have realistic expectations, its a good bargain property close to the beach and restaurants.

Check in was easy and typical. Booked the room for my 9yr old son and I... only received one bath towel with long black-ish hairs on it... we opted to use our beach towels. Beds were really firm and uncomfortable, my son said his back was sore when he woke up, and mine was too. This place is really dated and should not be priced anywhere near $200/night. We will not be returning to any OYO.

The stay was very nice. The A/C was cold and room comfortable. Would recommend as an affordable place.

The room was in desperate need a cleaning. The bathroom had hair all over the floor, dead bugs smashed on the wall and the shower curtain needed bleaching. The shower head was so low that my kids heads could be above it, with the very poor water pressure. The carpet all needed to be vacuumed and there was trash left in corners. The sheets had stains. The beds were hard and the pillows tiny with no support. The AC did work, but the humidity in the room made it feel like the sheets were damp. The front desk is NOT 24 hours, and we had to leave our key in an unsecured location upon early check out. This was a last minute trip so we didn't research as much as we should have, but I would not recommend this hotel.

I did Not like anything about this “hotel” It is a Motel with a sign saying “Hotel” I left that place 3 hours after I checked in. I could not stay in that place. I came around 1am and left around 4 I found bugs, ants, insects, dirty room and appliances were rusty and dirty. Very dusty. They have not return my money. I made reservations for 2 days. I am very disappointed.

Decent rate decent stay

This place had the “back-n-day” look and feel of a beach stay. Was a little hesitant at the first look of appearance but then got a blast from the past and this place was awesome. Quiet and comfortable! Definitely would stay again!

For the price of the stay, it's about what you would expect. It's a place to stay for the night and nothing more. If you're looking for a luxury stay, this place isn't for you. Staff was prompt and friendly, no issues with the room itself.

Kind staff. Cold AC in the room. Great water pressure. Slept great! Very close to the beach.

We took a family trip and when i got the room it smelled like febreeze. We came back later in the day and realized we must have gotten a smoking room.

Giant Centipedes and Scorpions! I checked in Tuesday afternoon. Room was super humid and musty. Got back to the room after midnight. While I was in bed a giant centipede was literally crawling in the bed I was laying in. Tried to hit it and kill it but it ran under the second bed. Flipped it over then it ran under the mini fridge. Moved the mini fridge and it was under there. Was finally able to kill it with a trash can. Once it was dead! I was looking to see if there was any more. Looked behind the bed and there was a dead scorpion 🦂. Never had a worse experience in my life @ a motel. We left immediately and requested a refund. They said they would refund but its been a week and nothing on my card. $245 for the worst experience ever and still no refund!

The bathroom was absolutely disgusting, mold all tile and tub. Broken toilet. Shower curtain was the worse, full of mildew and was orange…originally yellow from I could tell. Rooms are outdated. Felt like we needed to sleep w one eye open. Very run down property. Expensive too! Cost as much as other hotels. Worth $70 a night max. I’ll never stay there again.
