Remarkably expensive

The room was spotless and the staff was incredible.

The Kimpton Hotel in Pittsburgh was fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were colourful and comfortable. The hotel is in a central location in the underrated city of Pittsburgh. It's an easy walk to the Andy Warhol Museum and a beautiful one-hour drive to Fallingwater.

I have stayed here before and while we had a great first stay, the last time we stayed we found a cockroach in our room. I killed it at 3 am and slept with one eye open as we were told the hotel was fully booked upon check in so how would we move rooms. Upon check out I showed them the cockroach I killed and asked for a refund for at least the night. I was directed to the manager who basically blamed me for not calling to change rooms and offered me half of the one night refunded but couldn't do it herself and had to talk to 3 other people. I told her they are a 4 star hotel with cockroaches and they are making it a me problem which is unacceptable, and she just shrugged and again said I should have called to move rooms. Again, we were told 2 times they were booked solid so how would we get a new room? I asked when I could anticipate a call and she said tomorrow by 4. I received no call and am beyond underwhelmed by how this situation was handled. Again, 4 star hotel, with cockroaches, blaming the guest and offering nothing but half of one night and no follow up call and no refund in my account. I never raised my voice or got angry, but was being treated as I was the problem regardless. Extremely disappointed.

It was pet friendly

Easy to find and walkable to PNC park. Took advice of others and booked a corner room and it was perfect. Loved the unique decor. Valet was worth it to avoid multiple parking expenses. Staff at the hotel, restaurant and valet were wonderful.

Fabulous service here. Came in from thunderstorm and staff got us towels to dry off. Loved the decor of the rooms and its nod to Pittsburgh. Definitely would stay here again.

Super-friendly, knowledgeable staff, complimentary drinks at check-in, unique details in the room, and the perfect downtown PGH location. But the restaurants were the star - both the rooftop beer garden and the Commoner downstairs were excellent - honestly impressive cocktails and food. 10/10

Our stay at The Hotel Monaco was excellent. The Hotel was extremely clean and located in a great part of the City, close to great restaurants and bars. We would definitely stay there again.

It's a fun hotel, whimsical but very comfortable decor. Breakfast each morning in the Commoner Restaurant was excellent. Reserving major criticism regarding storage options in the room. There was no space for toiletries -- anywhere, but on the floor and bunched up together on the narrow sink ledge. Had to put our toiletries bag on the floor, which is just dumb. Also just 3 drawers in the room, none bedside and the plug-ins, which were added at some point attached to the side of the bedside table were annoying to have to use -- needed the phone flashlight to see where to plug the cord in. Easily corrected if the hotel wanted to do so.

The Hotel Monaco was stylish and sooooo comfortable! The pillows and bed were amazing . We ate breakfast in the restaurant The Commoner each morning of our stay - outstanding. Overall the neighborhood was walkable and safe - as with any city you need to be aware of your surroundings at night. I highly recommend the Kimpton Hotel Monaco!

Wonderful hotel. Excellent staff, especially the Valet service.

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and spacious! Great view as well.

No park view Had to hunt down housekeeping They never emptied out trash, left dirty glasses in room. Some sort of constant beeping from outside..crosswalk or something. Always had the linger floor wet & tried to dry with a big ass fan.

Great hotel nice staff and the restaurants food was amazing. Definitely staying here again.

Excellent hotel

Unique decor and comfortable bedding. A very bustling vibe. Be aware, there are lots of dogs and as with any city hotel, be prepared to hop out of vehicles quickly when pulling up to the entrance.

Rooms are beautiful and very spacious! Common areas are also well decorated and welcoming.

Wish there was water / mini bar in the room.

Beautiful hotel within walking distance to fantastic restaurants and bars. They have a complimentary social hour and coffee bar. My only complaint is room service is in cardboard take out boxes. Made it difficult to eat our breakfast. I’d prefer an actual in-room dining experience with plates and silverware. I was given plastic as a VIP staying in the luxury suite. To me, this is a fail. But the overall experience is wonderful.

Booked this last minute, parking was a steal booking it through Expedia! Not our usual hotel for Pittsburgh but we were very pleased and loved the amenities and lounge area and the restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. The hotel was quiet for the most part. Easy walking distance to PNC park, PPG, and the Theater District. Glad to have another alternative for our trips to Pittsburgh!
