It seems bizarre that in an overnight stay when we arrived on the island at 9am and went to our cabin to find it being nicely cleaned that we were then not allowed into the cabin until hours later. In fact there is no guarantee that guests can enter their accommodation until 2pm. To move about the island we needed to leave our bags outside and wait for an SMS to tell us we could collect our keys (nowhere near our cabin) There has to be a better system!

We had an incredible beach vista! So relaxing and comfortable, perfect for a family/beach/bike stay

Good place to stay family oriented but some facilities for solo travelers, clean tidy , no aircon but buildings stay cool I was there in 35c

checkin time to late, checkout time too early. staff are not very friendly when helping my wife checkin because the ticket is under my name, they first say something that is quite offensive in stead of providing solution.

We had a cabin at the Caroline Thompson Cabins. They were clean and had a full kitchen and fridge. The only thing is you had to bring your own linen - sheets and pillow cases. They did provide the pillows and blankets - although - they all could use a really good wash!I would stay here again though. Absolutely lovely!

Reasonably priced and well appointed self catering on a beautiful island. Not luxurious but everything you need for a family holiday. Close to the centre and all amenities.

I have stayed here before in same accommodation. It was clean and basic but in keeping with other accommodation on the island. The off peak rate was good. I liked that dishwashing liquid was supplied but i would also like linen included rather than having to sort this out separately at extra cost.

We had a fabulous stay in South Thompson, 2 bedrooms were spacious, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, gas fire for heating and outdoor area. 1 minute walk to beach and hired bikes and rode around the island. It was an amazing time and look forward to our next visit:)

로트네스트 섬은 처음 가는 곳이고 상세한 후기가 없어서 이 후기를 적는다. 배편은 Rottnest Island Express를 이용했고, 무조건 예약을 추천한다. 현장에서만 이용할 수 있는 바우쳐를 갖고 있어서 현장에서 결제했는데 하루 묶는 배편 비용(75$)과 당일치기 배편 비용(45$)이 거의 2배였다. 홈페이지에선 차이가 없었고, 한사람당 22.5$이었다. 다음날 폭풍이 오는데 아무런 얘기 없이 티켓을 파는 배짱..놀랍다. 자전거 빌리는 거에 대해 얘기하자면 무조건 섬에 도착하면 있는 대여소에서 전동 자전거를 빌리는 걸 추천한다. 자전거만으로 하루만에 다 도는건 무리이다. 물론 24시간 빌리는 비용은 60달러이지만 아깝지 않은 비용이다. 정말 강추. 당일치기라면 30달러 내고 단시간 빌리는것도 추천! 가기 전에 날씨를 꼭 체크하자. 내 경우엔 다음날 비가 내려서 배편도 다 취소되고 (다행히 원래 예약했던 4시 30분 나오는 배편은 운행했지만) 바람이 너무 많이 불어서 전동자전거를 24시간 즐기지 못했다. [숙소] 숙소는 집 한 채를 빌렸는데 방 2개에 한 방에는 퀸사이즈 침대, 다른 방은 싱글 침대 두개가 있었다(4명이서 왔으면 가격대비 이득이다) 그리고 키친과 거실, 화장실이 있었다. 주방엔 주방도구 숟가락, 포크, 가재도구, 냄비, 후라이팬까지 다 준비됐다.(단, 가위만 빼고) 전자레인지, 냉장고 다 있고 접시나 컵, 와인잔까지 다 있어서 따로 가져올 필요가 없다. 그리고 거실엔 난로가 있는데 난로를 키면 온풍기 역할까지 한다. 춥고 이불이 낡았다는 평이 있었는데 전혀 그렇지 않았다. 그리고 화장실 수압도 괜찮다. 수건, 드라이기, 비누도 준비되어있다. 솔직히 숙소가 기대 이상이라서 놀랍고 좋은 인상을 받았는데 한가지 더하자면 원래 체크아웃 시간이 9시인데 폭풍이 와서 돌아가는 배 타기 전까지 숙소를 쓸 수 있게 한 대처에 대해 박수치고 싶다.

Love, love, love this paradise! We called in to top up AUD$20+ to the Oceanview chalet and we were rewarded with a breathtaking unblocked view of the ocean. The waves literally lapped off just below our balcony. Best decision I ever made. The apartment is stylishly and well-furnished. Loved the kitchen that is sooo well-equipped. Best I had ever seen. I can cook full-blown meals here. The grocer is just round the corner. The bedrooms are large and comfy. Again, love the breathtaking view.

Went to Rottnest Is. got given a map with street names on it but the actual streets didn’t have any signs on them. The place where we stayed had no sign on it either and, having paid for the room, no sheets or pillow covers. Having said that everyone on the island was helpful and nice.

Fantastic location but rocked up no bedding had to pay extra 45 bucks for sheets etc and it’s a hike to carry luggage to accom and if u want bags delivered that’s extra cost too ! And you have to be packed up and out by 9 am ! Nice friendly staff but overall too many extra costs when could of stayed better place for same price in the end without hassles !

I picked basic accommodation close to the main settlement. So not 5 star accommodation, but it had everything needed (linen hire extra). But who needs to spend time in their room when you have such an amazing and beautiful island to explore, and little quokkas outside your cabin.

I was in my bliss on Rottnest Island. Spectacular bay views every where you look. Great to get away from the hustle of city life & traffic jams. Definitely a must for nature lovers.

Great Island! Awesome leisure time... But the accommodation is sooo in need of maintenance and cleaning. Only clean on depart (not during stay). No top up of tea bags/ coffee/ toilet rolls.... during stay. Virtually have to clean the room before departing... what is the high cost of room for???

Island Authority self catering cabin, very basic but enough space for a couple. Two lots of bunk beds as well as a small double bed, would make for extremely cosy family accommodation! Nowhere to store/hang clothes. Set amongst the trees and minutes walk from the lighthouse or the shops and restaurants. Friendly staff and workers, large fenced off area being transformed into new Eco village. Would only recommend to friends looking for basic cheaper option.

Easy access to beaches and lovely sunsets ! Kids love going to rotto!

fabulous 2 bedroom unit with views, very well set up with the essentials. comfy firm bed. Warm gas heater for winter. Fabulous tracks for walking/jogging. free shuttle to jetty and shops and beaches. The Sea can be a bit rough this time of year but the crew on the Fast Ferries really look after you. Would love to spend more time on Rottnest in Summer but the high season is too expensive
