Lovely old world property, very comfortable and.convenient

there was a ring alarm at midnight and no one knew what happened. But the staff came very quickly to solve the problem. A beautiful heritage house to stay in and has very quiet surroundings.

Beautiful building and room

The check-in process was straightforward, the room was clean and comfortable with all necessities. It was an easy walk to the eateries and shopping centre, will definitely stay here again next time we visit

Other guests were noisy leaving doors open. Bathtub was slippery even with the mat. It would have been great if breakfast was served. Garden were nice and close to the town centre.

A wonderful Heritage property in town. Greeted by very friendly staff on arrival. Very comfortable and convenient.

It was a massive space in bedroom and bathroom reminiscent of old colonial hotels. This combined with modern mod cons makes this a destination venue.

This was my favorite place that I stayed on a week-long journey down the Great Ocean Road and beyond. I ended up staying two nights because I was so comfortable in the "Black Room" at this elegant, historical property. It is a special place to stay.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Colhurst House, a beautiful and charming accommodation conveniently situated near Mount Gambier's city center. The location proved to be ideal, within walking distance of various shops and restaurants. The room itself was pleasant and well-maintained, complete with the added perk of a tea and Nespresso coffee machine. While my overall experience was positive, I regretfully cannot award the hotel a perfect 5-star rating due to some issues encountered during the check-in process. After a long and tiring drive, the anticipation of a seamless check-in was dashed when we arrived and found no one at the reception desk. It turned out that the hotel had tried to contact me earlier, but since I had an international number, they were unable to reach me over the phone. A simple email or phone call (or whatapp number) with check in instructions would have alleviated this situation. Unfortunately, the situation escalated when my email to the hotel went unanswered for more than 30 minutes. Frustrated, I had no choice but to make an expensive international call, which eventually resolved the matter. Thankfully, a kind staff member promptly arrived to assist with the check-in process after the call. Another minor inconvenience was the absence of details regarding the Wi-Fi password in the room. A straightforward sign with this information would have resolved the issue without any hassle. Once again, I resorted to sending an email for the password, but,

This is a lovely old home. Unfortunately, they are not currently serving breakfast. However, it is only a short walk to the Commodore Hotel (a sister property) that has a wonderful restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The room was very nice and location was excellent. My only complaint was the lack of things like tea and coffee etc. Only 2 tea bags were provided and I was expecting more from a place like this. Other than that it was OK.

Fantastic large room close to the centre of town. Tucked away so nice and quiet.

Beautiful property in a great central location although it felt like you where far from the city Centre.

Beautifully restored building, shower dangerously narrow, a couple of decent sized mugs would have been fabulous and a larger milk in the fridge ( we arrived too late to shop). An extra luggage rack and a spare light blanket would make life easier. On your advertising please make very clear that all bedrooms are on the first floor up a very steep staircase, not suitable for carrying heavy luggage up or for people that have trouble with stairs. Parking very limited.

A beautiful old house very conveniently located close to the centre of town. Very roomy with a lovely sitting room, dining room and kitchen. We had the Black Room upstairs which had a spacious ensuite with large bath and separate shower. Bed was very comfortable and the location is very quiet so slept very well. Highly recommended.

All up stay was very comfortable with lovely surroundings. It was a cold night and as not many people around - dining room was cold - couldn't find remote for a/c. See you again next weekend. S&D
