The beach access was a highlight, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the outdoor cooking setup was fun. Place was a bit small and the couch/futon somewhat uncomfortable but really not a big deal. Enjoyable and relaxing for sure!

I would (already have!) highly recommend Blue Dolphin to anybody! The location is perfect, across the street from the beach, the staff is so accommodating, and the cottages are extremely spacious.

These on-the-beach, cozy, elevated-off-the-ground rooms are great for casual visits. The individual rooms for sleeping in our two-bedroom had exactly enough room for one person to get into the bed, but nothing else. There was a futon-couch in the main room along with a small kitchenette there.

The room was clean and very neat it had everything we needed for our weekend getaway. Very quiet area and everyone was super nice and friendly. Only down side is if you have someone with mobility issues this wouldn’t be a good place to stay as I didn’t see a ramp for wheel chairs or walkers. The bathroom a great size and super clean. If you’re a shortie like me you will need to jump up to get in the beds 😂 they are high so you have room to store items. I love how close you are to the beach, the fishing and swimming. Overall, it’s a great place to have a relaxing getaway with or without kids. I will be booking with them again.

The air conditioners in all rooms did not blow enough cold air other than that it was a great beach front property.

Cottage was on the beach. We enjoyed the walks on the beach and watching the sunset.

Nice spot. Lisa was very friendly. My only complaint would be the wifi was unreliable but it could have just been our room. The kitchen had the basics for what you would need for cooking. Onsite BBQs were nice. Beds were comfortable. I'd stay here again.

It was late Friday afternoon and we had better not arrive at Grand Isle without a reservation. Hotel.com had this listing and previous guest reviews were positive. It was a charming cottage, freshly painted with beach decor. It was equipped with a kitchen. The appliances and carpet were a bit tired. The ocean was viewable across the road. We enjoyed the seafood at a local restaurant. Glad we stayed.

The location and the property itself are great, especially after the island is still in recovery mode from Hurricane Ida. The rooms were clean and in order and we had everything we needed. The property manager Sara is extremely disorganized and seems to always be intoxicated. She also gave away one of the rooms we had reserved. My family had stayed at this property before and never had a problem and that is why we returned this year. We may not return after our current experience.

I love the conveince of it being walking distance from the beach, along with having a nice area to cook and hangout. I didnt like the parking, it was difficult to park the trailer and truck and golf cart

It was eery, beach was super gross, smelled awful. The parking was full so we had to park in the sand and it rained hard leaving a river of water to drive over. The room was great, location was surrounded by dilapidated structures and no beach getaway.

They had boiling pots and burners available upon request. Also had a gas stove under the rooms to fry seafood or whatever. BBQ pits and a fish cleaning station. Multiple water hoses to rinse off from the beach. The lady I dealt with was very polite. Spoke with several people staying there and they all said this is the only place they stay at when visiting. Plan to stay here in the future.

As we were carrying in our luggage, my daughter said we needed more bowls, since her stuff was getting wet. As i walked back to the office to talk to the manager, my daughter and husband looked around and saw there was food spilled in the fridge, hair in the sheets, hair in the sink and shower, and dirt on the floor. I told all this to rhe manager and she said we could move to a room in the hotel across the street. I said I wasn't confident about any room being clean, and she told me to call her once we got in and looked at it, since i had her personal phone number. I did this and the hotel was much better, and even closer to the beach. I told her that it wasn't worth what i paid for it, and she discounted the price. She was very nice, and did what she could.

Grand Isle is not a resort locale. It’s a more secluded destination. There’s a nice, clean beach. That’s about it. No light after the sun goes down. Great for stargazing!
