The room was cute, but everything was old & dusty...window screens broken and torn with dust and cobwebs, and the bedding was well-worn. The bathroom was fairly clean, but the shower curtain had mildew. There was a funny smell to the room, like an air freshener trying to cover a smoke/pet smell? Overall, however, not a bad experience. This was the only room left in the area and it was reasonable, so we weren't expecting much. The hospitality was nice, just not the cleanest experience.

I love the historic, old-west, rustic feel of the lodge. Being adjacent to the river is an added benefit.

Easy access to everything in town. I have stayed several times in Kernville. The Riverview Lodge by far is the most convenient location. A private river access point and private parking was an awesome bonus. Kernville is a fun town to visit with it's historic feel and weekly community gatherings in the summer are always packed and so much fun to join. The entire town is very welcoming and the staff of the Riverview Lodge are no different. They made everything easy. Check-in was a breeze and checkout was even easier. Having a fridge/microwave and balcony to hang out on added to the experience! I highly recommend checking them out if you are going to stay in town.

Very nice place central to almost everything you need, the room was very clean and comfortable! The manager was very nice even after getting up at 4:30 am to unlock my door after locking myself out!

Very quite during the night. John was very nice when checking in. My family stayed at the Frandy campground and my daughter and I were able to talk to the campground easily. Very old fashion rooms that make you feel like your in a cabin which was super nice.

I liked you could walk to River or to the local Diner. It had a court yard with guests having a cook out and having fun.

This is my favorite spot to stay at when I am in Kernville. The staff is absolutely amazing and the view is one of a kind. I can’t wait to go back every year and enjoy my stay when I am there. Rooms are very clean and tidy.

The place was very convenient as it was next to the river and a campsite that some of us were staying at. The rooms are simple and comfortable, but kind of worn out. We had trouble with the door locking correctly and there was not a deadbolt on the door. Being next to the river there were a few critters around, but the very friendly staff helped with that.

We Love Riverview! It’s always our go to spot. We stay here about 3 times a year while visiting family. Staff is excellent, and location is perfect.

Parking was limited. Limited access of river for my pet.

I think they are trying for “quaint” but not hitting the mark..TV did not work…came and reset it, internet did not work…was told to “walk down a few rooms to hook up”, only one of 3 light bulbs in bathroom work, blinds not fit to windows correctly, so shut off lights to undress, refrig in the closet?- froze everything by morning, wall AC had a sign to not put below 70 degrees or it would stop working.k, Cheap enough but like they say…you get what you pay for. The reviews lied…. I guess people who did reviews wants you to be ?? Surprised?. As they were…good luck

Oid run down motel poorly kept up passing it self off as a cute and quaint rustic lodge. No face to face interaction with the office, they left the key and the bill in the room which was dark and dusty. No glasses no ice bucket, dirty grungy refrigerator and microwave in the closet leaving no room to hang clothes. Broken fixtures and what's with the ziploc filled with water and a penny hanging on the wall outside of every room? I could go on but, i think you can get the picture.

It was a well-kept room, and it was clean. The shower pressure was below sub-par. I had to wait to wash my hair until I got back home.
