I was in Middelburg for a funeral, so I only stayed one night. The room was perfect for my needs - no complaints!

Great little hotel with lots of character. Very friendly staff and inviting for non-Dutch speakers. Great breakfast service. Clean rooms and nicely updated bathrooms.

This is an absolutely beautiful “Boutique” Hotel overlooking the main canal going through Middelburg.
The train station is on the other side of the canal offering easy access to hotel and bike rentals.
The rooms and entire hotel were spotless with modern spacious rooms.
Nice buffet breakfast with dining room also overlooking the canal.
We enjoyed the outside on street patio with heaters which were perfect to sit out at night.
Eduard the owner and his daughter make the Hotel feel warm & friendly.
This Hotel with all it’s amenities and location is the Perfect place to stay in Middelburg.

At first we were upgraded to a bigger room where you could hear the escalator despite having requested a quiet room. Upon our request we got a room away from the escalator but you still could hear the escalator and people in the other rooms and in front of the room.

Perfectly suitable hotel offering decent value for money to business travellers. The room was adequate, albeit not spotless, and a bit small. Shower in the bath tub is only accessible at a somewhat awkward angle. Very comfortable bed so woke up rejuvenated. I arrived late and left early so did not use the restaurant, cozy looking bar or breakfast facilities.

It was in a very good location across the canal from the station. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was okay. There was no tea making facilities which was a shame, as this is something you automatically expect there to be in your room. The room was clean and good walking distance to the shops.

Window as big as the bed, saw a lunar eclipse from the room. totally cool. It's a great hotel, very comfortable and friendly, personable. Would hate to see it go corporate.

I am very familiar with Middelburg and the hotel is well placed just in front of the train station.
Hotel is a bit old and would need a refresh however rooms are huge ! Not a big fan about the integrated bathroom.
Special thanks to the crew that have specially organized an early breakfast as i had a tight schedule. No restaurant but a nice bar.

Ideally situated opposite the train station, and the town centre is only a few minutes away. Room was quiet, and breakfast good.

Good location. Extremely quiet though they were filled. Friendly, accommodating staff. Comfortable bed and pillows. Hotel is dated, carpets spotted in hall ways. The price was right. Definitely would recommend to folks not looking for luxury. Good b’fast buffet. Would return.

Generally speaking this an an excellent hotel. I have stayed there many times. However on this occasion, it was undergoing serious renovation. There was scaffolding all around and the lift was not operational. It was quite noisy and there was some inconvenience. I was a little put out when I asked for a reduction when paying the bill and I was told I should have asked for that when I arrived and it was too late now!!

Overall a perfect stay. A slight inconvenience, the hotel should be able to charge automatically from the card when booked and not just use the card as a reservation tool. This caused us a little problem because our agency back in Prishtina supposedly paid for the trip but the hotel never took the money and we were charged after the check out. Nevertheless the agency reimbursed us but ultimately the hotel should have been able to collect the money instantly.

An old fashioned hotel with a good bar area, nice garden and centrally located to both town and train station. The hotel made a change for me as its an oldish building with high ceilings & steep stairs etc (there is also a lift). Staff and breakfast both excellent. Middelburg is a nice place.

Other reviews are available for this hotel and comment about its dated appearance.Whilst accurate, it does make a nice change to stay at something with character and not the blandness of some chain hotels.Any uncertainty about the appearance are forgotten by the entertainment value of the gentleman bar host.As in the title of this review, the 200 meters to the historic centre of MIddelburg, a beautiful town, is not to be dismissed.A good couple of days with the family and with the friendly bat atmosphere, we all left with a smile.

This was a very nice hotel. The décor was a bit dated but, it was comfortable, and in a great location. Walking distance to the train station and centrum. The breakfast was great also. Lots of variety! Also my balcony was on the main street looking out over the river, and it was not noisy. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I will definitely return!

My scores speak volumes. Lovely smart hotel, very clean, really nice staff, great location, excellent quality breakfast, very comfy bed, peaceful nights sleep and mighty fine shower. I don't hesitate to recommend it and I'll certainly go back there when next in Middleburg. Thanks for a good stay at a sensible price.
