Dont get my wrong, the hotel was lovely and clean. The service was great. The staff were friendly. Our road over looked the main, very busy road but with the windows closed and a few wines we don’t mind (some people might, so ask for a sea view)
During a lot of the time there was off and on rumbling noising that came from either works going on that we weren’t informed about or the ventilation shafts (front desk staff didn’t know what to do). I advised front desk they just said sorry about that. I have audio recordings and let the hotel staff listen.
There was great breakfasts and the pub grub was prefect and not expensive. We wanted to go to the restaurant in the hotel but they just closed it (without any warning) so I can’t comment on that.
Overall I will stick with an average recommendation.

Lovely clean hotel, friendly staff, food delicious. Hotel set in idyllic surroundings for relaxing beach walks with plenty of coffee outlets en route. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the very poor WiFi

Thanks very much, just a quick one night stay, but the girls at reception were great, got me a sea view, and then the night team were great, got me a breakfast at 6am too.
Bar staff great, nice food in bar, and the pool is a really nice pool too. A good location and a nice put next door, the drift inn.

2 day break in a very nice hotel with my wife. Room was very good with a view over loch swilly. Staff excellent as was the food. 2nd visit here and will return.

Needs a revamp. Pool wasn’t open when we were there. Food was ok, but basic. Service was lacking. Good / pleasant stay for what was needed

The room was lovely and the check in staff were effiecent however the restaurant was awful. We booked a dinner in the upstairs restaurant and waited over 30 minutes for starters, then for the main course they forgot to bring sides. The cutlery was dirty and we had to request it changed. Also when we got tea the milk was curldled. We told a member of staff and they brought us a new portion of milk but we had no fresh tea or cups to use as the bad milk was in the cup

Could not recommend this hotel enough, we were here for 2 nights with a 4 year old. The family room was spacious and clean, staff were very friendly. The pool was a big hit for us, great location. The beach and everything was within walking distance. We will definitely be back.

Pleasantly surprised by how quiet this hotel was (no night-time hum from heating/air-con). Very clean rooms, a spacious gym (for a hotel), and a nice pool. Breakfast diverse, but the hotel might consider indicating allergens on its menus, and ensuring a wider range of choices for vegan/vegetarians and other special diets.

Our stay was super worth it. Our room has the golf course, sea and sunset view!!! Room was clean and comfy and buffet breakfast was good! We’re gonna bring our family next time so they can experience what we had! Thank you again!!!

Lovely hotel, is a bit dated but is clean and has everything you need. Although a bath in the family room would've been handy instead of just a shower. Good swimming pool and friendly staff. Food fresh and drinks were good. Think it was Jennifer who checked us in and she was a Godsend, a credit to the hotel. She was friendly, professional and very accommodating to our family. Good location to beach and amenities.

Overall, hotel a bit tired. Room fine and goid walk in shower. Reception staff and some others, notably Patsy, very good. However, some younger waiting staff in bar and restaurant sorely in needvof training on the job and customer service.

Room was very comfortable a bit cold during the night.Had a dinner in the bar was beautiful. Decided to stay for a few drinks in the bar order cocktails and the very junior bar maid gave me a cocktail without the side order when I query the cocktail was told this was the way it came which is utter rubbish having had this cocktail in many other places. If we stay again which I doubt we will be going out of bar area for drinks as I feel bar staff were all very junior on this visit

The place looks a bit like a factory from the road outside but is very comfortable inside. The view from the restaurant at breakfast is superb. The hot breakfast is mostly buffet style but the kippers are excellent if you remember to request them when you go in.

The hotel was the base of operations for our O'Doherty reunion. There was an excellent dinner in the large ballroom, kicking off the reunion events. The breakfast served in the restaurant was excellent. The setting was beautiful overlooking Lough Swilley and the on site golf course. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Convenient hotel overlooking the lake and across a major thoroughfare made it easy to check in while staying in Donegal. The rooms were large and bathrooms above average. The best part was the hotel restaurant, which had live music.

It was a nice hotel but we were very excited for room service which they state twice in the books in the rooms that they provide at an extra charge. We were fine with this and went about our day. When it came time to order I called the number. They told me they dont really do room service and i could come down and get the food myself. I had 2 small children in bed already so, no I can not come down. Dont advertisers things that arent offered please.

We were overall very impressed with our stay, the room was lovely (we were expecting an older styled room but it was recently redecorated), the bar food was beautiful and the breakfast in the peninsula restaurant the next morning was also beautiful. My sister had a Seaview room and it was so lovely. Tea and coffee making appliances in the room were very handy, and the location of the hotel was perfect, a short walk from the town. Our kids loved swimming in the pool and the fact the hotel had plenty of families staying, allowed the kids to play together. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
