We had a great time at the hotel. The staff definitely cared about making our experience a good time

The clerk that greeted us was very courteous and helpful. He made us comfortable instantly. The room was large and had easy access. It was very clean. All three days were quiet all night. Breakfast was outstanding! And again, the attention to all customers was respectful, polite and warm. Gunn House has my strongest recommendation.

This property is old and falling apart! The bathroom had mold in the tub and on the curtain. Exposure pipes. If you want antique and falling down this is the place for you!

The hotel had plenty of parking. There is a lower lot and a upper lot. The hotel is in the heart of downtown Sonora. Beautiful location. The hotel has great character. Very old feeling which takes you back in time. The staff was excellent and would definitely stay at the Gunn House any time I'm in Sonora.

I love the area around the Hotel is safe at any time about the Hotel the young man from the front desk was so nice the breakfast is ok, the room was clean I hope so on my next trip have the same opportunity to stay there 👍♥️

Historical hotel with lots of charm. Plenty of easily walkable dining and nightlife options. Staff recognized me from a previous stay months ago and made me feel very welcome.

The hotel is old and filled with antiques. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast has lots of choices.

This is an old place, historically old, in a quaint way. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The location is good, with lots of good restaurant choices within walking distance. We stayed in the "bridal suite" and it was what you'd expect from a place built in 1855. A little musty but clean. No mini fridge or microwave but we managed. They have a breakfast included, which mostly included cake. Four different types of cake, which were tasty, and one egg dish, which was also tasty. Would have loved to have had a little more protein but we managed. The only real issue, which again we managed to work with, was our room was in front, on the main street, which means it was loud with traffic. We were able to get to sleep but morning started pretty early. I recommend a room in the back, though I hear they're quite small.

The staff was super friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast offered in the morning. Really enjoyed my stay. I’ll be back.

Super cute and charming historic hotel. Loved having breakfast in the parlor and cooling off in the pool. Staff was hard-working, attentive, and helpful. Will stay again. Thank you!

Drive way to parking lot was very steep. Hotel was fun old time themed.

Owner shut off breaker so we couldn’t get ice because he thought 2 scoops was enough. Pool area was filled with cracked plastic furniture. Pool had algae. Breakfast was really limited & the water served was tap water & horrible tasting. Stay at your own risk.

The room was nice though hot and difficult to get to. There was very poor parking. It was difficult to find and differentiate it from the (building ) next door.

This is a nice clean and cozy place to stay. I will definitely be back.

Room was creepy and old, but not in a good way. Scary, horror movie furniture. Like Lizzie Bordon had chopped up her family in my room. Place is "historic" but poorly maintained. Would never stay here again or recommend to anyone.

The gentleman running the place was kind. However I truly feel that the place could use a lot of renovations to preserve the antique esthetics while still maintaining comfortability. The chairs outside the pool were broken and worn, the food in the morning was terrible. Bed was pretty comfy; however the tub had a slow leak and the ac was loud. It was fairly priced, so that was a huge plus. We only stayed one night. Location is walking distance to shops and restaurants. I’d probably stay again, but only for short trips.

Room was comfortable four an over 150 year old hotel. “Free” breakfast was not very edible. Condiments ran out and were not replaced. Only the coffee was fresh..

Gunn house is incredible place to get a blast from the past. It's a short drive to Yosemite national Park and ski resorts. Great local food, winery's and shopping. Highly recommend this house for a stay.
