We were disappointed with our stay of 3 nights, the first night we had no hot water at all. No apologies but we were upgraded to another cabin on the waterfront. It was much better but the shower needs a goods scrub as their was mould & build up of dirt. There was a hair dryer in the basic cabin but not in the upgraded cabin. We would not recommend it to our friends.

We loved that it was straight across from the water so it had a great look out but the picture of the home we stayed in when booking was not the home we stayed in it was older and very dirty shower with mould in the grout and screen

The photos shared on the website did not match the current state of the property, both in and out. Everything in the Comfort Chalet made the stay very uncomfortable.
Upon arriving, tired to make coffee with the provided kettle, which would blowout the RCD. Online info indicated reception was open until 5pm, decided to take the kettle there to have replaced at 4:45, to find the reception is closed at 4:30.
There was no value for the money paid at this holiday park. Would not recommend supporting this venue until renovations have taken place.

no photos were available of this accommodation option before choosing, didn't realise it was a caravan with a tiny bar fridge, barely any cooking utensils, curtains that are very sheer and don't cover the whole window, cobwebs , no airconditioning. very expensive per night for what type of accommodation it is. staff are lovely though.

Poor security, lack of space. Caravan was at least 40 yrs old and been renovated to a poor standard. Didn't think poor older properties like this existed any more. Avoid at all costs. Do not stay here !!!!

Very run down and very little maintenance must be done on the standard cabins but it is cheaper than some others. I would recommend the better units.

Accommodation reminded me of jimmy mcbrides hut
The newest item in the shack was the toilet. Requested by management to keep clean do dishes with a quarter of a dishcloth, broom was filthy, dustpan feel apart, electrical wires hang over gas stove - unsafe. Fan and heater have nowhere safe to plug into electrical point demonstrated by the fan cord already being burnt-no extension cord provided. Never sighted management despite arriving before 5pm as the website indicated however found out on arrival they actually close at 4.30pm

The interior of the cabin was like a 1960 caravan. The flywire on the window was torn, the sink kept blocking, the curtains didn't cover all the window and the backing was flaking off, one hotplate on the 'oven' didn't work, and you couldn't use the oven and hot plate at the same time. Hot water was only warm, and the water pressure was extremely poor.

Being welcomed with “Sorry, you’ve got the crappy cabin” was not a promising start.
True enough, cabin 15 was indeed very dated and really in need of replacement. I’m not sure why we were put in it though. While all the flash units on the beachside did seem occupied, the rest of the park, and most of the other cabins, appeared empty.
My advice would be not to book through a third party website, but book directly with the caravan park, and make sure exactly what you’re going to get!

Wonderful beach frosnt chalet that has a real holiday vibe. Its not fancy but it is clean and perfect for the beach location.
Water nice and hot and great heating in the winter.

The cabin was very old with a sliding door that was difficult to unlock and open. There was no outside light.
Bed was comfortable and bed linen was very new and very good.
A security light outside would have been comforting for a woman travelling solo.

We had a great time although we had to cut it short because of unexpected commitments back at work. We had an unusual check-in experience because someone had pilfered our key but the staff were very friendly and took everything in their stride. Our cabin was right on the waterfront with one of the loveliest vistas in the country. The beds were particularly good and I caught up on some sleep in this restful setting. We loved the stay and hope to return.

The property is out dated & in need of a freshen up. Kettle was full of grime build up & needed a clean or replacing. Location is fantastic, beautiful views of the king George sound & great access to bike/walk paths. Would certainly stay again.

That location was great and close to the beach. However our cabin was a old, TV did not work and it was ant ridden. Even staff told us that they try not use that cabin assigned to us. Overall very disappointing.

This is a lovely caravan park, in a lovely area, close to the water. There are different levels of cabin accommodation, unfortunately as a single traveller i selected one of the cheaper options. it was cold, under a tree with branches, tree little falling on the roof continually.
The area is quiet but the birds aren't.

We booked a beach front chalet, these are very old & needs lots of TLC, not what we were expecting. We managed to get into another available chalet paying for a upgrade . This was much nicer & newer. The park really is in need of some work. No reflection on the mgr who was very helpful & courteous during our 1 week stay. It could be awesome if they introduced a few things - family BBQ areas, decent playground & jumping pillow etc into this superb location.

The unit we stayed in was in need of a bit of repair, the flooring was very old, front door and fly screen door were old and did not close easily, the bathroom vanity basin pop up plug was broken and the furniture was generally old. Some of the bedding appeared to not have been changed as there were hairs on one of the pillows when we got to the property. Lots of spider webs on the patio area that was not that clean. The lawn and gardens in the vicinity of the property were not that well maintained.

We stayed in a Challet. Although it is very basic at a three- stars level, it has a fantastic alfresco view to the ocean and is reasonably priced. We would love to book it again in the future
