Double room was very comfortable and had excellent view of Jungfrau.

Best hostel ever. I'm very picky solo woman and i absolutely loved it. It is an experience not just a hostel. They give you a free bus pass too. It is super clean and close to things.
The owner was there when i checked out he was very kind and asked me about my experience.

Was closed to the bus stop and easy accessible to any part of interlaken. The staff were friendly and made great recommendations. Would definitely stay here again.

Only stayed one night but the staff were all polite and helpful... The room was basic but no issues, clean building and surroundings... I would stay again if in the area..

As Hostels go, this place is wonderful social environment to meet people and to go on adventures from. The staff are both knowledgeable and especially helpful, really taking the time to make you feel welcomed. The accommodations are about average for a hostel, but they more than make up for it with their charm and graciousness.

Great place to stay if you're into partying. I would not recommend staying here if you plan to sleep before midnight and wake up early to do activities. The neighbors on our floor were not considerate of others sleeping. People were talking and laughing past 2AM even on a Monday. The showers are very tiny and cleanliness was alright. We were bitten by bugs almost every night. Honestly not sure if they were bed bugs or mosquitos.

No hot water ,I can not take a shower with cold water.

It wasn’t clean. I would never stay here again. The staff wasn’t friendly either.

When we arrived at around midnight and checked in, we walked into our room to see it was already occupied and there was a naked man in the bed. Went back down to reception to figure out the issue, waited 45 minutes (almost 1am) to be helped. Ended up getting a different room with two twin beds which was very tiny instead of a large room with one double bed. Had to check out the next morning and repack our stuff before we could be rechecked in to a different room. Other than this huge mess, the place offered adequate amenities.

Location is good, on a main road with easy access to everything. Hostel was a fun place. Club was dead and empty. Staff was surprisingly rude. 2 of the ladies who worked there showed no interest in guest experience, and one guy looked like all he wanted to do was flirt with the 18-19 year-old girls. Breakfast is okay. Parking is free but approx 1-1.5km walk from hostel. Hostel served its purpose, but staff friendliness was disappointing.

As it was my first time travelling solo I was a bit nervous but Balmers added to an incredible experience from the service to the room and most importantly the staff who wer incredibly helpful and good fun

Had a good stay at Balmer's, the double room was small but clean and comfy. Staff was very helpful but bathrooms could be better maintained. Common showers were real good.

4 minutes bus from train station to balmers which is very convenient location. Quite clean, close to supermarket. Heater doesnt seems working at night during our stay. Hopefully they will fix this. In overall, everything is good and worthy.

Staff is super friendly, I loved the feeling of the whole place. Everyone so helpful.
The only thing was the mattress, I know it’s a really old place but needs some recovering on the mattresses. Everything else just right !!!

The beds were pretty uncomfortable. You could feel the bars through the mattress. Overall, everything exceeded my expectations and was great! Very safe feeling environment

Staff are rude and useless when it comes to offering sightseeing advice. The rooms suck and get hot without air conditioning. The rooms and bathrooms are particularly dirty. Bed bugs are real. Stay away

The place is very cosy with a lot of facilities for socialising. More like a community centre than a hostel. The staff are very nice and helpful. Also, interestingly, many Koreans stay there, because, as far as I heard, there was a very popular programme in Korea featuring this hostel and the area of Interlaken. The breakfast is the relatively weak part, not with too many choices. but overall, a very good place to stay.

This is an amazing place to stay! The hostel has a bar and a club and has many different sleeping arrangements. In the reception area there are tons of pamphlets of activities in Interlaken and other hostels in Europe. The people checking you in are very friendly! There is quite a community at this hostel and it was a great experience.

Stay was just perfect for Interlaken considering you will always want to be outside exploring! The crowd staying here can be a little rowdy considering most are college age trips---the place is typically quiet by 11:00 pm, so no real bother to us. The staff are excellent, always willing to give advice and directions. Not typical for other European hotels. We had a great stay and would stay again!! Loads of fun!
