We have stayed here on a few occasions, it is a self check in hotel, but communication is good and check in is easy. The hotel is close to good restaurants and has convenient parking.

It was nice and quiet which I needed, but there’s nobody in the office all night so for me it’s 77 years old. I don’t know those fancy contractions to check out so I had to leave the card in front of the front door. We left at seven wasn’t really pleased with that otherwise everything was great.

The room was great, Almost everything was excellent, the only thing that didn't work was the shampoo containers were clogged and the refrigerator light was very bright and there were no instructions on how to turn it off.

The Queen suite is nice and big! It has a separate living room, with a medium-sized fridge and a microwave, wine glasses, and free bottles of spring water. The inn also provides a small coffee pot and coffee packs.There are 2 TVs, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. But the one is the bedroom has a remote that couldn’t turn the volume up - could be that the inn hard set it to a low volume. The bed was comfortable, but the AC blowing next to it could be a bit noisy for some people. The sofa bed is the leather couch type that I believe would feel more comfortable to sleep on than the saggy spring fabric type. We didn’t sleep on it but it felt firm and comfortable (see my pictures - it’s the black sofa that can open up to a full size bed). If you’re sensitive to noise, the fridge in the room might be a bit loud for sleeping. The inn is located at the edge of town, so it’s away from the hubbub of downtown. Strolling downtown takes only 5/10 mins - a lovely walk recommended first thing in the morning as there aren’t many tourists around yet, so you can enjoy the quiet and just take in the beautiful town. Some bakeries and breakfast areas are already open by 7, and the workers are a lot happier than. We went to this bakery named Birkholm’s and it had amazing danishes.

My husband and I stayed two nights at the New Haven Inn. We were upstairs in the Hansel and Gretal room. It was clean, quiet and a lovely room. Bathroom was updated, shower roomy. The room came with an electric pot, coffee maker, fridge, even a bottle opener and wine glasses. The room as two separate tiny rooms for little kiddos too, which I know my kids would have loved to have slept in. Check in was easy online through email and we had no problems obtaining a code for entrance. Check out was done via text and was also easy. We met our housekeeper and she was super friendly. We were not expecting daily housekeeping, but we were pleased to have a freshened room. The bed was super comfy and we slept great-room was quiet. Really, there is nothing that would stop us from staying again when in Solvang. It is a wonderful, cute little place. So glad we stayed at the New Haven Inn-thank you for the perfect stay!

One thing though, I did not get confirmation about my check out, it would be better if facility office personnel confirmed my digital check out. As per the actual room, it was very clean. almost all things, fixtures looks and smell new. I would refer this location.

This is a lovely place to stay, modern, comfortable and convenient. However, the young man who checked us in was unprofessional, unfriendly and robotic: never making eye contact with us, answering our questions in an unwelcoming, robotic, patronizing manner such that I wondered if he was all right?! It was an unpleasant way to arrive and an awful first impression - happily the accommodations were delightful. Thank you.

Loved our stay! Easy walk/bike to everything and bikes to use which we used to go to both shopping areas & theater at night! Cute outdoor private patio. Staff very nice too!

Pros - Walking distance to downtown, very quiet and safe location, easy check-in and check-out process, plenty of guest parking, refrigerator and microwave in the room, cute property. Cons - The room had a strange smell, the bathroom needed a lot of maintenance, the fan/AC unit was so loud and was the source of the strange smell, the refrigerator made a lot of noise, staying in a 1st level unit meant lots of noise from above, the shower head had very little water pressure and the shower gel/conditioner dispensers were clogged. Overall my stay was comfortable enough, but I don’t think I will be staying here again in the future.
