Beautiful hotel with super friendly staff

We just stayed one night - the owners collected us from the train station which was helpful with a lot of luggage and a wheelchair. Owners are very friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortable for us 3 adults, with an elevator for easy accessibility. As the room was on the top floor there were skylights with windows and blinds that could be electronically opened. There were plenty of other windows, with a great view to the mountains, but you need to bend a little to see through them due to the sloping ceiling. A few extra pillows for sleeping would have been nice, perhaps we could have asked though. Food was lovely in the restaurant, perhaps a bit expensive but I think that's typical of Switzerland. A beautifully decorated hotel and it's a shame we couldn't stay a few more days.

We had a wonderful stay! Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff were absolutely lovely, the food was delicious and we really enjoyed exploring the city and surrounding areas. The days we spent here were our favourite part of our trip!

Perfect location on the Piazza. Beautifully renovated building. Wonderful service, very comfy rooms, and some of the best Entrecôte we have ever eaten. Very highly recommended.

Fantastic Hotel, everything about it was brilliant, from the rooms, staff and food. Some people I noticed complained about the price of the food, but you don’t get the quality of the food for nothing.

Couldn't fault the hotel itself: friendly staff, lovely room, clean, great breakfast and beautifully decorated dining area. Used a parking space on the Piazza which is 2hrs maximum but free after 7pm. For longer stays it's better to book a space with the hotel. The weekend of our stay there was a bike & run festival taking place with a concert on the Piazza. It started at 18.00 and continued until 01.45. Sleep was impossible. This isn't the hotel's fault, but sadly it detracted from the overall stay.

Hotel is super cute and we got a very spacious, comfy room. The fact that they rent the bikes is a plus. However, we had dinner in the terrace and although it looked very promising, they could improve the menu a lot as it seemed that dishes were 'unfinished' and for the price you would expect much better... Staff members were kind at all times, however they forgot us a bit at the end of the meal, which you will not expect from a hotel of this category... in my opinion, they should just pay more attention to details!

Bike-friendly hotel with excellent restaurant

This was our 4th stay, I believe, our first post pandemic vacation. Buffet breakfast option as of July 2nd which I looked forward to. Although varied and plentiful, quality was not to usual standard. No fresh-squeezed juices, no freshly baked viennoiseries, and only one egg option (cold omelet). Disappointed. Meals à la carte are excellent though and innovative. Their chef did not disappoint in this area. This hotel is a favorite in the Ticino canton. Easy drive to Lugano, Ascona, Locarno, Bellinzona, and Mendrisio (Foxtown Outlet). Staff is super friendly and polite. Rooms and bathrooms super clean. Bath towels could be changed to newer, even fluffier ones though soon. The actual ones are so thin and scratchy with age.

This is a great hotel with an excellent service. Good breakfast and dinner option are also great. Room is quite good, but the bathroom is on the small side. Few easy things the Hotel can improve: 1- The are no blackout curtains, in spring/summer its a bit annoying to wake up at 5/6 am due to amount of light. 2- No soap/shampoo holder in the shower. If you don't use the Hotels own shower gel, you have to put yours in the floor, which is not nice. 3- The parking on site need to be booked as well. There is no info about this when you make your reservation. Would be nice to have a notice here that once you make your reservation, send them an email/call them to reserve your parking place as well.

We had a great stay at La Tureta! I am just sorry that the breakfast is as expensive as it is, in particular now with Covid restrictions that there is no buffet available.

Lovely hotel close to restaurants convenient location near to the station

One thing that made my stay at La Tureta difficult was the absolutely horrible internet. On all nights I could not get more than 1 Mbps which makes it impossible to do anything (at home I have 150+ Mbps). I called to complain and they feigned ignorance of the issue and told me I could use the "business" wifi service, but that one also was at 1 Mbps in the evening. With less than 1 Mpbs you have trouble sending or receiving emails, cannot even open Instagram for example. During the day when nobody was in the hotel I got to 5 Mbps which is also very slow and sending attachments is problematic. The day manager told me that indeed to be sure that at least some service is possible they limit the maximum speed to 5 Mpbs but when lots of people use internet it can go lower (I witnessed less than 1Mbps). That is not satisfactory. I cannot recommend a hotel that installs such as miserable internet service for its guests.

Great location, one street back from the lake in the centre of the old town. Near weekend markets and shops.

very nice and well kept hotel, classy and nicely decorated. Warm and friendly welcome - they were very kind of allowing our bikes 'to sleep' on their basement. Very hearty and nice breakfast
