didn't look like a motel, more like a house

Our overall experience was good and Janet is a great host. I beleive we shouldnt expect too much from motels in the area, and we booked it just to sleep overnights since there's a lot to do in the area from beaches and hiking and it met our expectations.

Janet was so nice to accommodate us earlier than the check in time. She even phoned me to check where we were so. She welcomed and oriented us around giving instructions and information that we needed to know. Days prior to our stay, she messaged me just to communicate. Well Done! * Rooms were so clean and organized. * Kitchen is completely stacked with all the things you need from utensils to glasses to plates, etc. * It’s also equipped with all the kitchen appliances you need from coffee maker, toaster, microwave, fridge and even stove. * I highly recommend this place!!!

No Aircondition, and you hear Noise from other rooms

The Northwinds was a last minute stay as we didn't get a reservation for the ferry in time. The room was small, lacked a hair blower and ac (had a large fan), was convenient to catch the ferry and visit Lion's Head beforehand. However, the desk staff was more than helpful! Very friendly with some helpful hints for dinner etc. It was a breeze checking in and would stay here in future if we are in the area.

Very noisy, no air conditioning, coffee machine broken. That was terrible night after a hiking day.

Janet was very helpful when arranging check in and out. Room was somewhat dated, but very clean, comfortable and convenient.

Janet was very welcoming and friendly - a genuinely nice person. The location was ideal for my walks on the Bruce Trail in the northern Bruce Peninsula. The room was very clean, and items such as coffee were supplied/renewed every day. I will definitely return to this motel to stay in for future Bruce Trail walks, and would highly recommend this facility to anyone else.

Its location is right on hwy 6. The location is a 5 star. It is a short distance to many attractions.

Just an overnight visit to Lions Head area & really only required a place to sleep. Northwinds was very welcoming, had all we required & reasonably priced. Perfect spot for our needs on this trip. 😁😁

Property appears to be a converted single family home poorly sectioned off with furnishing way below the level expected for the nightly price. A phone on the exterior/outer wall of the building put you in contact with someone who explained to pull and push 'hard' on the outer door to get the door to open. Then we were told where the room key was 'hidden'. After our look around the accommodation (five minutes), my wife said we would not be staying. Locked the door and left the room key in the room. Used the outside phone to inform the listener that we would not be staying.

Nice property with low cost , clean, quiet,full of kitchen appliances. Best place to live for group of people. You can enjoy sunrise at the back of the motel.

It is closed to the highway 6, but I didn't realize it is a little far to the Bruce Peninsula National Park because the park is so big.

Nice location and reasonable; easy check in and out; room is ok; small shower and flat pillows.

Older style bedding and tv that could use an update

Check-in was fast. Room was clean. Lighting was dark. Beds were terrible.

Nothing fancy but a good place to stay when stopping through. The room was a decent size and the bed was nice and comfy. It's right on hwy 6 but with the window open at night (facing away from the road) it was still quiet and dark for a good nights sleep. We got there later in the evening so Janet wasn't there when we arrived, but she contacted us to get us checked in and settled without issue

Great location, very clean, easy check-in and lots of info & tips from the lovely manager. Really the only negative point was the beds weren’t very comfortable and were very squeaky - any tossing and turning was very noisy and kept us all up

The motel was clean, but very dated. The beds were lumpy and the bathroom was a tight squeeze but it had everything we needed. Everything was functional. There was no air conditioning but it was not a warm weekend so it wasn't needed.

The room was clean and had the basic needs. It was quirky but provided mostly what was required.

Close to the Bruce trail and Tobermory

The room was clean. The owner was very nice. I would stay here again.
